Selene smirked. "So predictable."

She dialed Damien. "I want a scandal. One that burns."

Camille wasn't stupid.

She saw the way Elias looked at Selene. That haunted gaze, full of memories.

She met Selene for coffee-an invitation wrapped in poison.

"You're back, but I'm the one marrying him."

Selene smiled sweetly. "Then prepare to be the bride at your own funeral."

Damien's fists curled. "If you won't protect her now, I will."

Selene and Damien danced at a gala, cameras flashing.

Elias watched from the shadows.

When Damien kissed her under the chandelier, Selene let it happen.
