Moon Court – The Moment Time Froze

The world was frozen around her. Cracked mid-motion.

Only Scarlett and her twin moved freely, caught in a private storm between destinies.

Calen's silver eyes reflected the fractured moonlight. His expression unreadable-neither cruel nor kind, simply... resolved.

"You don't understand what she asked of me," he said softly.

"Mother?" Scarlett asked.

He nodded. "She didn't send me away to save me. She sent me away to become the thing she couldn't-something strong enough to kill a corrupted Alpha... even if it meant destroying her legacy."

Scarlett's heart thudded.

"You're not my enemy."

"No," Calen agreed. "But I'm not your ally either."

He raised his hand.

A blade unfolded from his palm-obsidian, rimmed in eclipse fire.

"The Reaver King kneels to me now. His army is just the beginning."

"Then come for me," she said, stepping forward, power bleeding into her voice. "And I'll show you why they called Seranna's daughter The Last Flame."

Their eyes locked.

Twin flames.

Twin fates.

Elsewhere – Rift Edge, Future Timeline Echo

Kael gasped awake in a realm that wasn't now.

Scarlett was gone.

Frozen, unreachable.

And beside him stood... her mother.

Seranna.

"Welcome to the fracture," she said. "You weren't supposed to find me."

Kael dropped to one knee. "You're dead."

"Not yet. Not here," she whispered. "But your bond has made you a threat to the Rift's plan."

Kael growled. "What plan?"

"To unmake time," Seranna said. "To erase the Luna bloodline forever. My son was corrupted. But you-Kael-you are the Anchor."

He blinked. "Anchor?"

"To Scarlett's heart. To this time. Without you, she loses everything."

And then Seranna did the one thing Kael wasn't prepared for.

She handed him a dagger.

Her own.

"Kill my son," she whispered. "Or lose her."

Moon Court – Real Time Resumes

Time slammed back into motion.

Scarlett fell to her knees.

Kael reappeared beside her, heart pounding, clutching Seranna's blade.

"Did you see him?" she gasped.

"I saw her," Kael replied. "And she gave us our only chance."

Scarlett stood slowly, eyes burning with silver flame.

"Then we end this. One twin will fall."

Moon Court – Training Grounds

The blood moon hung heavy.

Scarlett's breath came ragged as she stepped into the circle of ancient runes.

Crimson stood silently, watching.

"This power was never meant for a Luna alone," Crimson said.

Scarlett clenched her fists.

"But it's ours now."

The runes ignited.

A wave of energy surged through her veins.

Her vision blurred.

She saw flashes of past Lunas, their struggles and sacrifices.

Her mother's voice echoed.

"The Final Luna Form is the last hope. It will burn with the eclipse's fury and the moon's mercy."

"The twin is moving against us," he warned.

"Yes," Kael said. "Calen will strike at the Council. We must prepare."

Scarlett entered, radiant and fierce.

"I will stand with you," she said.

The room shifted.

No one doubted her power now.

Shadows moved.

A blade flashed.

One by one, the Alphas fell, struck down by a dark figure cloaked in eclipse fire.

Calen.
