Chapter 2 Evenly Pov

The car kept moving fast, and I could feel my heart racing. I wondered how long we had been driving. Suddenly, the car came to a stop at a junction, and I felt a bright light shining into the vehicle. My heart pounded as I heard voices outside.

"How long do you think she'll last with the Taskolonia family?" one of the men asked. Their laughter sent chills down my spine. I didn't know what they meant, but it sounded bad.

I could hear barking dogs and the noise of some machine scanning the car. What were they doing? I felt so scared and alone. Were they really taking me to the Taskolonia family? My mind raced with horrible thoughts about what might happen to me. I remembered stories about human trafficking, drugs, and child abuse. How could anyone control people like that?

After a few more minutes of driving, the car finally stopped again. I felt the door open, and before I knew it, someone grabbed me and dragged me out. I stumbled and fell hard onto the ground.

"Stand up, you bitch!" someone yelled. I gasped in pain as they pulled me up, and I could barely catch my breath.

Then, they took off my blindfold. I blinked against the sudden light and looked around, surprised by what I saw. In front of me stood a beautiful white mansion with a lovely garden. It looked like something out of a fairy tale, but I knew better. This was no fairy tale.

As they dragged me inside, I caught a glimpse of something that made my stomach turn. I saw bodies being carried away from the mansion and into an ambulance. They looked lifeless. My heart raced as one of the guards said, "That's your fate in a few days. I hope you last long." My breath caught in my throat. I felt sick, and fear wrapped around me like a tight rope.

Inside the mansion, the room was fancy and elegant. The furniture looked expensive, and everything seemed so perfect. But I knew that behind this beauty was something dark and dangerous. At the end of the room, a man was sitting in a big chair.

"Please don't kill me!" I shouted, my voice trembling. I could hear a loud sound coming from somewhere-a man was beating someone, and the sound was terrible, like a whip.

"Boss, she's here," one of the guards said, and I felt my heart drop.

The boss turned around, and I was shocked to see that he was just a young guy in his early twenties. He was very handsome, with striking features and a charming smile. For a moment, I thought maybe he was an angel, not the devil I expected.

"So you're James' granddaughter. Welcome," he said smoothly. "James owes me thirty million dollars and used you as collateral. You will be staying here until then-if you're not dead yet."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My grandfather had put me in this terrible situation. I felt betrayed and scared. I wanted to scream, but I couldn't find the words.

"Take her to the inner room and prepare her for me. Let me have a taste of her," the boss ordered, his voice cold and commanding.

The guards grabbed my arms and started dragging me away. I struggled against them, but it was no use. I was too weak and terrified to fight back. As we walked through the mansion, I saw more guards, all with serious faces. They looked like they belonged to a different world-a world filled with danger.

When we reached the inner room, it was even fancier than the first. The walls were a deep red, and there were beautiful paintings everywhere. But the beauty of the room made me feel even more uncomfortable. It felt like a trap.

They pushed me inside and shut the door. I was all alone now, and I could hear my heart pounding in my chest. I felt like a trapped animal, waiting for its predator to strike. I looked around the room, hoping for some way to escape, but there was nothing.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching. I held my breath, fear clawing at me. The door opened, and the young boss walked in. He had a confident stride, and his eyes were dark, like a stormy sky.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" he said, looking me up and down. I felt small under his gaze, like a helpless bird caught in a net.

"Please, I want to go home," I pleaded, my voice shaking. "I didn't do anything wrong!"

He chuckled softly, but there was no kindness in it. "You're here because of your grandfather's mistakes. You think you can just walk away from this? You are now part of my world."

I backed away from him, feeling the wall behind me. "I'm not part of anything! Let me go!" I yelled, my voice breaking.

He stepped closer, and I could see a smirk on his face. "You're in my territory now, and I control everything here. You should learn your place."

My heart sank as I realized how powerless I was. I was trapped in a place where nothing made sense, surrounded by people who didn't care about me. All I could think about was my grandfather and how he had put me in this situation.

"You will learn to obey," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "Or things will get very bad for you."

I felt tears welling up in my eyes. I wanted to be brave, but the fear was too overwhelming. I had no idea what they planned to do with me, but I knew it wouldn't be good.

"Please, just let me go," I begged again, my voice barely a whisper.

He laughed, and it felt like ice in my veins. "You don't seem to understand. No one leaves the Taskolonia family without paying a price."

I felt like the world was closing in around me. I was trapped in a nightmare, and there was no way out. All I could do was hope that somehow, some way, I would survive this. I had to find a way to escape and get back to my grandfather. But how could I do that when I was surrounded by such darkness?

As I stood there, trembling with fear, I made a silent promise to myself. I would not give up. I would find a way to fight back, even if it meant facing my worst fears. I had to believe that there was still hope, even in the darkest of places.
