Chapter 2 Internship (Rena's POV)

I stood frozen in one place, shocked and trying to take in what he just did but turns out he only gestured for a friendly peck. With his body close to mine I could feel the heat from his bare skin on mine, his grip on me sent a burning sensation to my feet, and it felt like I was going to melt down.

"Get a hold of yourself, Rena. He's your dad's best friend" I tried to convince myself but all to no avail. I've had a crush on Raymond since I was little, my mum had a hint of my little crush but she didn't see a big deal in it. I never told Jena. And I barely come in close contact with Raymond. I only get to see him whenever Dad deems to take me to the company. And that was only when I was young. I always look forward to seeing him each time Dad takes me to the company. Now that I am a grown twenty-five-year-old lady, nothing seems to change about my feelings for him.

"So, how do you feel about resuming work today?" He gazed at me waiting for a response but I casually stood in front of him without a word, his touch and peck still lingering in my mind leaving me breathless. "RENA... are you okay?" he touched my hand softly, jolting me back to reality

"No, I mean yes, I'm fine thank you." startled, I instantly removed my hand from his. He raised an eyebrow in curiosity and motioned me toward the leather cushion, layered with a furry blanket beside the see-through ceramic glass walls in his skyscraper office giving away the beautiful view of the city while he also sat in his chair.

"I think I should discuss this with you before we proceed to show you around Rena. Unfortunately, you can't resume as the CEO because you probably ain't fit for the position yet. You do realize that right?" I raised an eyebrow in puzzlement. I did not see a point in what he just said but I gave him a chance to explain.

"Might I ask why? This is supposed to be my legacy after my dad passed and it shouldn't be argued". My stomach started to twist with anger and disappointment but his response left me mute.

"Rena, believe me, I understand you but the board members might not be okay with this, maybe not at this moment, you just graduated, lost your parents and you don't have the befitting criteria to fit into the position, it's gonna be a burden on you, a huge one to bear. So you see, I spoke with the board members and we all agreed to at least train you for a while before heading you as the CEO. In the meantime, I'll be in charge." I could only stay silent, but as much as I wanted to disagree with him badly, I couldn't bring myself to do it because he was right. I probably still need more time to get my acts together. And considering that I studied a different discipline entirely in college I'm probably not fit for the position and I trust him to handle the business well because he has been in it for a long time with my dad. I focused all my attention on his lips desperately waiting for him to utter another word, my imagination started steaming up and stirring shivers down my spine.

"I wonder what his lips will taste like." I found myself tilting my head to the side a little to emphasize my imagination, I have never felt this seduced by just the sight of a man's lips. I felt a squeeze between my thighs and bite my lower lips as he spoke and I imagined a lot he could probably do to me with his smooth-looking hands.

"How good will those hands feel if he fondles my boobs with it? How well can he make use of those hands when he touches me? How fast can he make me cum with those long and strong fingers?." thoughts kept breezing in my mind nonstop, and I let out a soft faint moan if only he knew what was going on in my silly mind.

"Rena?" his deep husky voice jacked me back to my senses at once, composing myself. "Are you sure you don't need some more time to stay at home?" His cold brown eyes stared deep at me and I could swear I saw a hint of concern in his eyes.

"No, I can manage, sorry i drifted a little but I'm okay." he gave me an agreeable nod and i smiled back at him in return.

"If you don't mind, I'll show you to your office now. You'll resume as an intern." he gestured towards the door "yes, please." I tugged behind him, following him like a puppet.

Raymond introduced me to the rest of the intern staff in the company.

" Rena will be joining you from today, you can show her around and be nice to her." i was hoping he'll tell them I'm the daughter of the ex-CEO, my father. But he waved it. Everyone echoed welcome like school kids happy to see their teacher. And i reciprocate with a grin on my face.

The day went by at my new office, I met new people and got along until the closing hour. I waited for my chauffeur to pick me up but somehow he didn't show up, just then my phone pinged, and a message from Jena popped up.

"The driver is sick Rena, we took him to the hospital this afternoon i wonder what could be wrong with him, no news from the doctor yet but I'm sure its not to worry about okay? You should find your way and please be careful." I let out a sigh of frustration.

Just when I was about to call a cab, A car pulled to a sharp stop in front of me with a familiar face.

"Need a ride?"...
