Chapter 4 Seducing the Alpha

The next day, Emily donned a simple white dress, its flowing fabric highlighting her natural beauty. She took a deep breath, preparing herself for the task ahead. Approaching her parents in the living room, she announced, "I know Alpha Jason will be in the pack garden today, according to his schedule."

Gloria, concerned but supportive, asked, "Are you planning to talk to Alpha Jason there?"

Emily nodded, her expression serious. "Yes, I will make sure Alpha Jason is seduced by me."

Delta Patrick, still uneasy, sighed. "I still don't agree with this plan, but I will let you do what you think is right."

Emily offered a grateful smile. "Thank you, Dad. I promise I know what I'm doing."

Gloria embraced her daughter, whispering, "Be careful, my dear."

Emily nodded, pulling away and heading for the door. "I will. I need to do this."

With determination in her eyes, Emily left the house, heading towards the pack garden. She was resolute in her mission, ready to change the course of her future and claim her place as the next Luna, no matter the cost.

Emily arrived at the pack garden and parked her car. She stepped out, taking a deep breath as she entered the expansive, luxurious garden. The vibrant colors of the flowers and the majestic trees surrounded her, creating a mesmerizing but eerily silent atmosphere. She saw no one around and felt a mixture of relief and disappointment.

As she walked along the winding paths, admiring the blooms and the carefully manicured landscape, she wondered if Alpha Jason was really there. If he wasn't, she decided, it was fine. The serenity of the garden provided a much-needed peace of mind.

Emily found a bench under a grand, ancient tree and sat down, listening to the birds chirping above. The tranquility of the moment contrasted sharply with the turmoil in her heart. She thought she had cried all her tears the night before, but now, sitting in this beautiful yet lonely garden, the pain of betrayal overwhelmed her again. She couldn't hold back any longer and burst into tears, her sobs echoing softly in the stillness.

Her mind replayed the scene of Jerome and Natalie together, the hurtful words, and the shattering realization that the two people she trusted most had betrayed her.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching. Startled, she looked up and wiped her tears, wondering who had come.

Alpha Jason arrived at the pack garden, a place he visited once a month to ensure it was still maintained as his late wife, Luna Daisy, had asked him to promise.

Daisy had loved the garden, with its array of flowers, trees, and plants. Even though their marriage had been arranged by their parents when they were very young, she had been a good woman and partner. Her death after giving birth to their son Jerome had left him profoundly saddened.

As he walked through the garden, appreciating its beauty and reminiscing about Daisy, he suddenly heard the sound of someone sobbing. Concerned, he followed the sound and soon saw a very beautiful young woman sitting under a grand tree, crying. His heart ached at the sight of her tears. As he got closer, he recognized her.

"Emily? Is that you?" he asked, his voice gentle but filled with concern.

Emily looked up, startled. Her face was streaked with tears, her eyes red and swollen. She was taken aback to see Alpha Jason standing before her.

"Alpha Jason," she whispered, trying to compose herself but failing to hide her distress.

"What happened?" he asked, his voice softening as he knelt beside her. "Why are you crying?"

Emily took a shaky breath, struggling to find the words. "It's Jerome... and Natalie. They... they betrayed me." She broke down again, unable to hold back the flood of emotions.

Jason's expression darkened with concern and anger. "Tell me everything," he urged gently, sitting down beside her on the bench.

Emily sighed deeply, composing herself before speaking. "Yesterday was supposed to be our third-year anniversary. Jerome never replied to my messages, but I still went to the pack mansion to see him. When I got there, I saw him and Natalie... both naked in bed." Her voice trembled as she recounted the painful memory. "You servant Mila admitted that Jerome and Natalie have been having a secret affair. I broke up with him right then and there."

Alpha Jason's face darkened with a mix of anger and sorrow. "I'm so sorry, Emily. I had no idea my son was capable of such betrayal. I never raised him to be a cheater."

"I never want to go back to Jerome," Emily stated firmly, wiping away a fresh tear.

"I understand," Alpha Jason said sympathetically. "But why are you here in the garden today?"

Emily lied smoothly, "I just needed a peaceful place to clear my head. I didn't want my parents to see me like this."

Alpha Jason nodded. "I'm truly sorry for what my son has done. I will speak to Delta Patrick and apologize for Jerome's actions."

Seizing the moment, Emily placed her hand on Alpha Jason's arm and looked into his eyes. "You're a good man, unlike Jerome. If only I had fallen in love with someone like you, maybe I wouldn't be hurting so much now."

Alpha Jason looked taken aback by her words, but before he could respond, Emily rested her head on his shoulder. He hesitated but then allowed her to stay there, feeling her warmth and sorrow. They sat in silence on the bench, surrounded by the tranquility of the garden, both lost in their own thoughts.

As the minutes passed, the peaceful ambiance and the emotional exhaustion took their toll on Emily. Gradually, she fell asleep, her head still resting on Alpha Jason's shoulder. He remained still, looking down at her sleeping form, feeling a mix of protectiveness and confusion.

Emily woke up still nestled in the arms of Alpha Jason. She looked up and noticed that he, too, had fallen asleep. A secret grin spread across her face. Seizing the moment, she leaned in and kissed him gently on the lips. Alpha Jason's eyes snapped open, wide with surprise.

Emily pulled back, her cheeks flushed. "That was my first kiss," she said softly. "Jerome never touched me, not even a kiss, in all the three years we were together. Maybe that's why he cheated on me."

Alpha Jason swallowed hard, struggling to process what had just happened. "Emily, what are you doing?" he asked, his voice laced with confusion and concern.

Emily took a deep breath and lied smoothly, "I believe everything happens for a reason. I had a dream that you and I are the real mates, not Jerome and me. Maybe that's why things never worked out with him. Maybe I'm fated to be with you, Alpha Jason."

Alpha Jason looked at her, a mix of emotions swirling in his eyes. "Emily, this is... a lot to take in. You're hurting, and I understand that, but we can't make decisions based on a dream or a moment of vulnerability."

Emily nodded, trying to look earnest. "I know it's sudden, but I feel something strong between us. Maybe it's worth exploring, to see if there's something real here."

Alpha Jason remained silent for a moment, clearly conflicted. He finally said, "Let's take things one step at a time. Right now, you need to heal from what Jerome did to you. We can talk more about this later."
