Chapter 7 VII – Moan between sheets

"Andrew, wait!" Beta Lucas called after him, his voice laced with concern. "She could be a rogue or vampire or a spy! Don't go near her."

But Alpha Andrew was already in the water, his strong arms cutting through the current as he reached the unconscious woman.

Her body was limp, and she appeared lifeless, her hair dark and tangled around her face.

With a powerful effort, Andrew pulled her from the water, lifting her into his arms.

As he held her close, an unfamiliar sensation surged through him-something strong and undeniable, something he hadn't felt before.

Not even with Luna Cassandra.

"Alpha!" Beta Lucas shouted, standing at the riverbank, his eyes wide with concern. "What if she's dangerous?"

Alpha Andrew didn't respond immediately. He was too focused on the woman in his arms, her delicate features now visible.

There was a strange pull in his chest, a connection that he couldn't explain.

"She's not a rogue," Alpha Andrew said, his voice low but firm. "I can feel it."

Beta Lucas sniffed the air, trying to detect anything unusual. "I don't smell any scent of a wolf. She is not like us. She's just a human."

Alpha Andrew nodded, though his gaze remained on the woman's face. Despite Beta Lucas's words, there was something about her that stirred his emotions.

"We're taking her back to the pack mansion," he said, his voice steady, though there was an edge to it. "She's in no condition to be left alone."

Beta Lucas hesitated, his gaze still fixed on the woman Andrew was carrying.

"Wait," Lucas said, his tone cautious. "What if she's only pretending? What if she's a rogue or a spy playing unconscious?"

Andrew paused for a moment, looking down at the woman in his arms. Her face remained pale, her breath shallow but steady. He frowned and, without thinking, gave her a slight slap across the cheek.

Her body didn't stir.

Andrew's frown deepened.

"She's not pretending," he muttered, more to himself than to Lucas.

"She's unconscious... almost drowned." He could feel the coldness of the water still clinging to her skin. "I'll bet she fell into the river and got carried downstream."

Lucas, still uneasy, crossed his arms. "But what about the real reason we came out here? We're supposed to be scouting, not saving strangers."

Andrew sighed, shaking his head. "We'll deal with that tomorrow. Right now, we need to get her back to the pack. No houses around here, so she couldn't have come from anywhere nearby. She's not from here."

Lucas didn't respond right away. Instead, he just sighed heavily, clearly torn between his instinct to question everything and his loyalty to Andrew.

"Fine," Lucas muttered. "But this better not come back to bite us."

Andrew nodded, even as his mind raced with questions about the woman. He gently adjusted his hold on her and turned toward the car.

As they reached the vehicle, Beta Arnold opened the door, and Andrew carefully laid the woman down on the back seat, her fragile form seeming to disappear into the cushions.

Once Andrew slid into the front passenger seat, Lucas climbed in behind the wheel, starting the engine. The car rumbled to life, and the tires hummed on the road as they began their journey back to the pack mansion.

The silence between them stretched for a moment before Lucas broke it.

"So, what's the plan for her?" he asked, glancing at Andrew as they drove.

Andrew's gaze drifted to the woman in the back seat, her chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm.

He sighed, clearly uncertain. "I'm not sure. But we need to get her to the doctor. She needs to be checked, make sure she's okay. Once she's stable, we can figure out who she is and what she's doing here."

Lucas raised an eyebrow, his lips curling into a teasing grin. "You know, I don't think I've ever seen you this anxious about a woman before."

Andrew was caught off guard by Lucas' words. He quickly glanced at him, his face hardening in a mixture of irritation and surprise. "What are you talking about? Just drive."

Lucas chuckled, shaking his head. "Come on, Andrew. It's clear you're worried about her. First time for everything, huh? You never like that to Cassandra."

Andrew turned his gaze back to the woman, trying to hide the discomfort Lucas' words had caused him.

But deep down, he couldn't shake the feeling that something about this woman was pulling him in, something he couldn't explain.

"Just drive," Alpha Andrew repeated, his voice colder this time.

Beta Lucas couldn't hold back a quiet giggle, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Alright, alright. I'll drive. But I think you've got a soft spot after all. You know being Alpha can have a concubine."

Alpha Andrew remained silent, his mind wandering back to the unconscious woman lying behind him. Whatever was going on, he couldn't deny the strange pull he felt.

Meanwhile, Luna Cassandra and Arnold were entwined in a passionate embrace, lost in their own world.

"Ohh yes! Harder! Faster!" she gasped, her voice filled with desire.

Arnold, driven by her words, responded eagerly, matching her rhythm with fervor.

"I want you again and again," he murmured between breaths, his lips brushing against her ear.

Luna Cassandra could feel the heat rising within her, the promise of climax building as Arnold whispered, "You'll get pregnant and have my child."

Just then, the unmistakable sound of a car engine broke through their intimate moment-Alpha Andrew was back.

Luna Cassandra's eyes widened in panic. "Quick! You need to leave now!"

With urgency, she pushed Arnold away, and they scrambled to put on their clothes, the atmosphere shifting from passion to tension in an instant.

As Arnold leaned in to kiss her cheek, she felt a mix of emotions-desire mingled with the fear of being caught.

"Next time again," he said softly before slipping out of the room.

Luna Cassandra rushed to the bathroom, her heart racing. She turned on the shower, letting the water cascade over her as she tried to wash away the remnants of their encounter.

The sound of the water drowned out her thoughts, but she couldn't shake the feeling of impending consequences.

She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself, knowing that Alpha Andrew would be back any moment.

As she stood under the hot water, her mind raced with what had just happened. Would Alpah Andrew suspect anything?

The thrill of the moment with Arnold clashed with the reality of her situation, and she knew she had to be careful.

She quickly finished her shower, knowing that time was of the essence.

Luna Cassandra stepped out, wrapping a towel around herself, her heart still pounding. She needed to think fast; she had to face Alpha Andrew and maintain the delicate balance of her life.

With a final glance in the mirror, she steeled herself for whatever confrontation awaited her.
