"Attention! Our boss is here!"
One of the men shouted as the group hastily lined up to greet their new leader. The warehouse fell silent, the air thick with tension and unspoken apprehension.
After the former boss of the Lions Gang was assassinated by a rival faction, his son-in-law, Laith, along with his right-hand man, Kelly, had taken control. Unlike his predecessor-a calculating strategist who prioritized profit and discretion-Laith ruled with an iron fist. He was aggressive, ruthless, and driven by an insatiable hunger for dominance. Where the old boss had avoided unnecessary bloodshed, Laith waged war without hesitation, seizing territories and crushing anyone who dared oppose him. His methods were reckless, his temper unpredictable, and though many of his men questioned his leadership, none had the courage to challenge him.
"Welcome, sir!" they chorused in unison as he strode past them.
Laith's sharp eyes scanned the room . "Where's Kelly?" he demanded.
One of the lower-ranking members swallowed hard before answering, "He's not here yet, boss."
Laith's jaw twitched in irritation. "Tell him to report to my office the second he arrives,"he ordered before turning on his heel and marching away.
---
Ten minutes later, a firm knock echoed through Laith's office. Without looking up, he growled, "Enter."
Kelly stepped inside, his posture rigid. "I apologize for my tardiness today, sir. You needed to see me?"
Laith was hunched over a stack of reports-intelligence gathered from spies embedded within rival gangs. Most of the information was trivial, until one particular document caught his attention. His expression darkened as he reread the details, his grip tightening on the paper. With a sharp flick of his wrist, he thrust it toward Kelly.
"Read this."
Kelly accepted the report, his eyes darting across the page. When he finished, he exhaled slowly. "I've heard rumors about this. I was planning to brief you once I had more concrete information."
Laith's lip curled in disgust. "A woman leading our rivals? Have they lost their minds?" His voice was laced with venom. "Disgraceful."
Kelly hesitated before responding carefully, "Their official leader is still Owais. She's his fiancée-but from what I've gathered, she's the real strategist behind their rise. Intelligent, ruthless. Under her influence, the Wolves Gang has become the strongest in their district. Even the police wouldn't mess with them."
Laith's knuckles whitened as he clenched his fists. The thought of a rival gang thriving under a woman's leadership ignited something primal in him-a mix of fury and an unshakable need to destroy them.
Then, slowly, an evil smile spread across his face. He stood, pacing to the window, his mind racing with dark possibilities. "Gather every man. I want the entire crew here tonight. There's an announcement to be made."
Kelly dipped his head. "As you command, sir."He turned and exited, leaving Laith alone with his vengeful scheming.
---
By nightfall, the Lions Gang had assembled in their cavernous warehouse. The men shifted restlessly, murmuring among themselves, until Kelly's sharp command cut through the noise:
"Stand at attention!"
The room fell silent as Laith descended the staircase, his presence commanding immediate obedience. "Welcome, sir!"they echoed in unison, standing rigidly with hands clasped behind their backs.
Laith's gaze scanned the crowd before narrowing. "Three men are missing," he noted coldly. "Where are they?"
Kelly cleared his throat. "One was injured in the last operation. The other two... are still in the refrigerator sir, you put them there for messing up the operation."
A beat of silence passed before Laith let out a dry, humorless laugh. "Ah. Right. I'd forgotten about them. They're probably ice statues by now."He waved a dismissive hand."Have someone check on them after this meeting."
Kelly nodded. "Understood."
Laith clasped his hands behind his back, his voice dropping to a dangerous timbre as he addressed his men.
"Today, I learned that our organization faces a threat-not from strength, but from shame." He let the words hang in the air, watching as confusion flickered across their faces. "One of our rivals has risen to power under the leadership of a woman." A ripple of murmurs spread through the crowd. "I will not tolerate this insult. If they have no respect for themselves that's their issue, but they have disrespected our business, we will remind them why traditions exist."
He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in. "We will take action immediately, the Wolves Gang has moved to the top of our list. Tomorrow, you will strike their restaurant chains. I want them broken. Humiliated. Don't you dare hold back or go soft. -defiance will be met with annihilation. Do I make myself clear?"
A thunderous response shook the warehouse: "YES, SIR!"
Laith's grin was predatory. "Good. Dismissed."
As the men dispersed, whispers of anticipation filled the air. War was coming-and Laith would ensure it burned everything in its path.
