" She pushed me into the pool."
I looked in horror as Lucious took off his jacket, gently helping Sasha to sit down on the floor and cover her shoulders with his jacket.
"Did you push her into the pool?" He asked as he leaned toward me, and I stepped back, my heart pounding in my chest.
"Answer me!" He snapped.
"I -" I stuttered, barely able to utter a single word as I looked at Sasha, who was smirking at me.
It suddenly made sense why she did what she did. She knew that Lucious would believe her if she told him that I pushed her into the pool.
"What was the plan, Alisha?!" He sneered. "Did you want to kill her? Do you even know that she can't swim?"
"I didn't do it, Lucious. She -"
"Are you calling her a liar?" He snarled. "Are you calling me a liar for what I saw?"
"You have to believe me. I didn't do it," I cried. "I was barely standing two feet near her when she fell into the pool. This was all her plan, Lucious. She wants you to be angry at me," I answered as I looked at Sasha, who rolled her eyes and got up from the floor.
"I want you out of this house right now!" He angrily pointed to the door.
"Right now?" I asked, shocked because he knew very well that I had nowhere else to go. "Where will I go at this time?"
"You should've thought about that before you assaulted my fiance and threw her into the pool. Do you know that she can open a case against you and have you arrested? This is the same as an attempted murder because she can't swim. If I wasn't nearby, she would've died."
"You believe her?"
"She's carrying my child, Alisha!" He roared.
I looked at Sasha and let the tears at the corners of my eyes roll down my cheeks.
Hearing Lucious say that caused my stomach to twist, and I knew that I had no place in the house anymore. There was nothing that I could use to fight for our marriage.
"So I've heard," I scoffed. "I didn't deserve this, Lucious. I know that you wanted to have children of your own, but I didn't deserve this."
"I tried to do right by you. I tried to be the husband that you wanted, but you just couldn't give me what I wanted the most. You couldn't have made me happier than I've been with Sasha these past few months."
"I can't believe this," I huffed, feeling my heart and all the bones in my body growing weak.
"You have to leave right now. I can't allow you to be under the same roof as Sasha in her condition. I don't want you to put her and the baby in danger."
"But -"
When I tried to resist, Lucious grabbed my arm and dragged me inside the house, heading to the front door with me.
When we got to the hallway near the living room, everyone's heads turned and looked at us.
Even the ladies who came with Sasha turned and looked at what Lucious was doing to me. They were probably enjoying the show.
"What's going on?" His mother asked.
"I don't want her in this house," Lucious answered as he opened the door and pushed me to the floor outside the door. "She tried to drown Sasha in the pool. She could've died if I didn't take her out on time."
I landed on my arm, closed my eyes, and groaned from the excruciating pain that felt like a knife in my stomach.
When I looked up, Lucious and his family were looking down at me as if they would throw stones at me until there was nothing but flesh on the floor.
"How dare you try to hurt Sasha?" Olivia scolded. "Do you know who she is?" She snarled. "She's the daughter of the CEO of the Imperial Group. He can end your life in a snap of his finger, and your entire existence would be wiped off the face of the earth."
'Daughter of the CEO of the Imperial Group?' I internally asked myself as I looked at them.
"She has so much money more than you can ever imagine. You should be grateful that she hasn't decided to have you arrested," Olivia added. "So you better pray that nothing happened to her baby. If she miscarries her child, the blood will be on your hands, and you will be held responsible."
Before I could say a word to them, there was a loud thunder before the rain started pouring, and I was drenched within seconds.
I was so sure that Lucious wouldn't let me be outside the house while it was raining, but when everyone leaned back and he glanced at me for a second and slammed the door behind them, I was crushed.
I lay there for a second and couldn't believe that my husband was doing this to me.
I couldn't believe that the same man who loved me with all that he had a few months ago was the same man who was now treating me as if I never meant anything to him.
I got up from the floor, and when I turned around, security was already at my side, heading to the gate with me.
After they closed the gate, I looked at the house and then walked down the road to the filling station to call Francesca.
But when I was about to cross the road to the other side, a honking sound and screeching wheels caught me by surprise, and before I knew it, all lights were out.
When I woke up, my head was pounding, and there was an IV drip attached to my wrist. I almost screamed before I realized that I was in the hospital.
I was so relieved when a doctor walked inside the room.
"Good evening, Mrs. Hall. I am so glad that you're finally awake. I've informed your husband that you got into a car accident and have been admitted to the hospital for almost 24 hours now. He promised to come as soon as he could." She informed me with a smile on her face.
"My God, I thought I was going to die," I groaned as I remembered the honking and screeching sounds of a car.
"Thank God for the gentleman who saved your life," she beamed. "You were so lucky that the car didn't hit you too bad to have fractured any bones in your body or the little one that's growing inside you."
I yanked my head and looked at her with my eyes popped. "What? What are you talking about?"
"Mrs. Hall, you're pregnant and estimated to be 6 weeks and 5 days along," she answered. "Oh," she squealed as she looked at the door as someone walked in. "There he is! The gentleman who saved your life."
"Santino?" I breathed in shock as he walked toward my bed.
"Camilla. It's been a long time."
