Chapter 5 Ride to Thika.

Silence prevailed as the two ran out of words. Bryan tried his best to avoid her talks while Mae did her best to destract him.

The bus had touched the tarmac and they were now speeding towards Thika town. After a battle with the winner being Bryan, Mae just shut up and busied herself with her phone. Bryan was also on his phone messaging Sela Maeia. They were both active and they immediately began to chat.

"Where are you right now.?" A messaged popped on his phone. "Im almost near Thika town. Give me 2 more hours honey." Bryan replied.

He noticed that when he sent a funny emoji the girl next to him would smile and start typing furiously hitting the keypad with light tap tap sounds. He wondered who was chatting this blondey.

An hour near Thika. The bus sped off in the traffic. The road was busier as they neared town. A huge banner fixed high in the road ahead reflected the afternoon sunlight in dazzling rainbow-like rays.

'WELCOME TO THIKA.'

The banner was soo attention-grabbing due to its quality and appearance. "I've arrived." He sent the message he had yet to.

"That's good. Will you board another bus to Capita or should I come to Thika?" A question from Maeia popped on the screen.

The girl next seat fidgeted her fingers nervously as she held the phone in the other. Bryan noticed this of-course. "What do you plan?" He typed. Bryan watched the girl from the angle of his sharp eagle eyes as she typed. He too was chatting at the same time.

A picture reflected on the chat screen and he tapped to view picture, it was Maeia! He smiled as he sent lots of love emojis to show how sexy she was.

"Send me a picture of yourself right now." Bryan read the message and hesitated. "I can't at the moment. Why do you want my picture right now? Do you think am lying?"

Bryan reacted as he tried to avoid sending the picture. He had sent some of his pictures some day in the past but he had used the common Face App to change some bit of his physical facial appearance on purpose. He just didn't want to expose himself to someone he didn't know...who knows if Sela Maeia was his friend Eric playing prank! He always thought.

The bus came to a stop not longer than expectated and everyone alighted from the bus.

Mae wanted to get to know this person but he kept ignoring her, so she decided to follow him. She thought this person was familiar. Or his looks. He resembled someone she has long awaited for. She wished that he will answer her questions but this gentle-man was an as**hole after all.

The pictures of Sela Maeia in his phone were of a lady with long black hair tied up at the back in a ponytail. From the looks she was around 23 years or so. She was adorable but not seductive as the girl who rode with him, Mae.
