Chapter 2 NO SAFE PLACE

When Elara's uncle moved into their home, the world she already feared grew even darker which she didn't know. Her mother's hands, once meant to nurture, had long turned violent. Beatings became part of her daily life, bruises hidden beneath clothes and silence. But when her uncle arrived, a new horror entered her world.

By day, her mother's rage swallowed her; by night, her uncle's cruelty crept in. He stole pieces of her innocence in the dark, leaving behind scars no one could see. Yet, even as home became a battlefield, Elara's spirit refused to surrender. Whenever he reached toward her siblings, she stood between them and the monster, taking the horror meant for them without hesitation.

Fear lived in her bones; pain echoed in every breath. And still, she fought in silence - not for herself, but for those she loved.

A child waging two wars under one roof: her mother's violence and her uncle's abuse.

Elara lost pieces of herself each day, swallowed by a home that betrayed her. Yet, through all the agony, she clung fiercely to the last thing they could not take - her unbreakable love, her quiet bravery.

She was only a child.

But in her silence, she became a warrior.
