Chapter 5 Leo's POV

Days turned into weeks and I kept seeing my admirer popping out at almost every location I was. I guess he should have known my house by now. I loved the kind of life I lived now even though I missed the old one. Don Antonio and I kept becoming close and was already scheming the perfect revenge for the Castello family. We found out the process that the main person we knew was the boss of the mafia was just the consigliere. It means the Castello mafia had a hidden boss no one knows about.

And according to the information we gathered he was the son of the late Lucia Castello who just like me inherited the cartel from papa.

No one really knows the real boss of the Castello cartel except for the consigliere obviously. And that was the main obstacle. Fabio Gomez is heavily guarded and getting to him would seem impossible.

Meanwhile the village dance is coming up soon and everyone is excited. I am more excited because I'll get to see Bruno on that day. And also, maybe my admirer would ask me to the dance. We have finally talked to each other. He asked for a moment with him and we decided to go for a bicycle ride together and he even promised to teach me how to ride. He's name was Leo.

He wore a light blue shirt under a cotton white t-shirt with a white jeans and brown palm sanders. He waved and smiled at me as he approached me. I was already waiting for him at the front of our house with the picnic basket Maria had prepared for us. The bicycle had a back sit. He helped me sat on it. As he held my hand, I felt a wave of goosebumps on my skin. His palms were hard but comforting. He scented like vanilla and my heart beat increased as I inhaled the scent. We rode through the village to the stream. I was a jolly wonderful ride. It was refreshing scenting the smell of the wet ground as rain as fall the night before and seeing the vibrant green trees, the muddy road and also the scent of bread coming from the bread factory that filled almost the entire village. As we reached the stream, we found a dry spot and spread the picnic cloth on the ground. I started unpacking and arranging the snack Maria made for us. She made some omelettes, croissant, meat balls and tiramisu cake. While he got the wine and glasses. As he sat close to me, I got to see him up close he had a dark Hazel eye. There was something mysterious about him. Something dark and sad but there was also something good and refreshing about him. I felt like he was hurting but some part of me prayed it wasn't because of another woman. According to the information I gathered he came to the village just about the same time I came to the village. And some said he normally come to the village like one in a year. He wasn't well known but he wasn't a stranger to them too.

Well, I hope we'll be able to heal each other in where we are hurting.
