Chapter 5 Acquaintance

I stood up slowly, I heard and saw no one around, I called out to Stefan, when I got no response I called for Damon and Katherine.

I walked down the stairs to the living room, no one was around.

I heard clanking noises in the kitchen, I made my way to the kitchen, there was a women standing there, light brown skin, brown hair with a purple strip in it, she had black combat boots and wore leather clothing, I asked who they were and told them to turn around, It was Mazikeen.

Mazikeen is a demon that I knew when I was a child, Maze became my best friend when I was young, she is a very powerful Archdemon and Torturer of the bowels of hell. She is from the Lilm and is known for having many brothers and sisters, her mother is Millicent Leigh, a former lover of my brother Lucifer. Before Lucifer and I had taken over hell, Millicent was watching over all her children, the demons, she was taking care of things in the Shadow World.

Once I was fallen, Millicent knew I would want the throne next to my brother, but then Millicent wouldn't be the ruler of hell anymore, so I did what I had to do for my throne, I killed my best friends mother, and Mazikeen helped me do it.

Killing Millicent gave me power, I earned respect, the demons weren't upset with me for killing their mother because they knew I would be stronger, since I'm not blinded by love from a man who never truly loved me.

When I saw Mazikeen, I ran to her arms and hugged her. I hadn't seen her in so long, Maze had given me a bracelet she had made for me before I left the tomb. I asked Mazikeen why she couldn't give it to me when I was trapped in hell for all those years, Mazikeen had explained to me she wasn't in hell when I was because she had been walking on Earth. My brother had set her on a task to find Ophelia's artifact.

"Wait, Ophelias alive?" I asked Mazikeen with excitement

"Yes she is, but Lili you must listen to me, Ophelia cannot come out yet" Mazikeen said eagerly

"what do you mean, why not?" I asked, Mazikeen stayed quiet

"Mazi, why can't we let Ophelia out?" I repeated.

"Ophelia is in no condition to walk the earth, one of you can die" Mazikeen said

"How, our powers together make us strong"

"Ophelia doesn't have her magic" Mazikeen said angrily, "your father kept it before he banished her, so she's nothing but a soul stuck in an ancient artifact. Lilith, shes weak, we can't risk you two close to each other because she could absorb your magic"

I began to ask Mazikeen where Ophelia's artifact was, when Mazikeen didn't answer the lights in the Salvatore house started flickering again, that is when I realized I wasn't in the human world, I was on the other side speaking to Maze.

I screamed begging Mazikeen to hurry and tell me where my sister was.

Once the lights went out completely and came back on, I was back in my bedroom with Stefan sitting next to me, and Damon with Katherine by the door, I stood up and screamed.

"No! no please, I have to go back. I need to know, please!" I cried as I tried to reform the salt circle and lit the candles back up.

"Hey hey, what happened?" Stefan asked me as he pulled my chin closer to him

"I saw Mazikeen, she knows where my sister is" I whispered.

Stefan looked at Damon and Katherine asked, "Who's Maziqueen?", I corrected her and said "Mazikeen". I explained to them that Mazikeen is an old friend and she knows where Ophelia is and that Ophelia is weak.

"Stefan, I need to find her before something happens to her, she'll be safe with me" I said

"Ok, listen to me, we'll help you find your sister, I promise" he replied as he wiped the tears off my face and hugged me.

I could tell from the look on Katherines face, she wasn't happy with me, she was jealous. Katherine leaves the room and Damon follows shortly behind her. Stefan picks me up and puts me in bed.

"It'll be okay, we will reunite you with your sister" Stefan whispered before he walked away.

I didn't want to tell him that if we brought my sister back, it could kill me, but I didn't care, I'd rather die and be in hell permanently than leave my sister to rot and grow weaker by the year.

It was the next morning, I woke up and I heard chatting downstairs. It was Elena, Elena was speaking to Stefan telling him she felt unsafe around me. I walked downstairs and I apologized for biting her, I told her all I want is my sister back.

"You must understand Elena, you lost your parents, you would do anything to bring them back, wouldn't you?" I asked.

"Yeah, yeah I guess so" she replied

I asked Stefan if he could get me a towel in a few minutes, I went back up the stairs, I went into the bathroom that was in my room to shower, after a few minutes, Stefan knocked on the bathroom door, I opened the door and walked out naked, he stuttered and handed me the towel so I could cover up.

"You know Stefan, I fancy you" I said as I wrapped the towel around myself

"Uh- thank you? I fancy you too, I guess" he replied.

I laughed and walked over to my closet, "Also, thank you for trying to help me find my sister, it means a lot to me" I said.

"Yeah no, totally, I'm always here to help"

"But if you and your friends ruin this for me, or try to take my sister from me and use our magic, I will kill everyone you care about. Starting with dear Elena" I said.

Stefan walked out my door and closed it, after Stefan left, I got dressed and had a vision, it was of Elijah, Elijah was with Klaus yesterday, Klaus and Elijah were having a talk about our other siblings.

Then, I saw Niklaus use a silver dagger to kill our brother, I gasped because I felt the pain Elijah had felt, as if he and I were linked, Elijah didn't tell Klaus I was alive, or who I was.

The vision ended, I heard another female downstairs, Caroline walked through the front door, she said out loud, "Ok so, who is this Kellina Lilith girl and how do we use her and her sisters powers to our advantage?", Stefan shushed her.

I tried to warn Stefan, I wasn't going to let him use us. I went out through the window to find Mazi on my own, I knew Maze was still on Earth because I did a locator spell. I used the bracelet Maze gave me before the spell broke, as if she wanted me to use it to find her. Maze was in Los Angeles, the city of angels, she was in a night bar, when I walked towards the door of the bar, the sign said "closed", but the door wasn't locked, so I walked in.

I walked down the stairs and I saw Maze wiping down her bar table and the chairs, I called out to Maze, she turned around shocked and asked what I was doing there, I told her I needed more answers, as I walked towards Maze, a 16 year old girl walked out from a door.

"Who are you?" I asked the girl

"Who are you?" she copied

"I asked first"

"I asked second", she said.

"Oh my god, Kelly or Lilith, whatever you go by, this is Paige Hyde, Paige this is Kellina Lilith Morningstar, Ophelia's twin sister" Mazikeen said turning to me,"I'm here to protect her, Kells".

"Well, any friend of Mazi is a friend of mine, why are we protecting her?" I asked

"We?" Maze said

"Yes, I'm going to help you protect Ms.Hyde" I said

"Don't call me that", Paige barked.

"Paige is very powerful, she holds the power of 7 dead witches" Mazikeen said, "that is too much power for a young girl since she wasn't born to hold all of it".

"How does she have the power of 7 witches?" I asked.

Paige Hyde is a witch from the Murray Coven, her mother had 6 children, Paige was the third Hyde child, all of her siblings were girls, which made them more powerful.

One night, Paige's mother gathered her children in front of their family home and slaughtered them, before her mother could slit Paiges throat, Paige ran and hid, while her mother was walking passed her, Paige came out from her hiding spot and slit her own mother's throat.

Paige ran to her 5 sisters bodies, she begged for someone to bring them back, she screamed and cried, she said she saw a white figure appear over her younger sister, Avena Hyde's body. Mazikeen had told me she thinks it's Ophelia, in the massacre the mother was supposed to kill all her children and then herself so that their magic could go into the earth to keep the Earths balance.

The whole Murray Coven was supposed to die, every other witches power went into the Earth, so Ophelia would claim it as her own, but the Hyde family failed.

"Wait, so if you died, my sister would have claimed your magic as her own and she would be here" I said, "then why don't I just kill you now", I started walking closer to Paige, she screamed and her scream broke the glass cups, bottles, and cracked the windows of the bar.

"Kelly, you can't" Mazikeen said as she grabbed my arms to stop me

"And why can't I?" I asked.

"Because, you can't just kill Paige then expect her magic to go into the Earth, she was supposed to die in the sacrifice. Since she didn't, if we killed her it could jump into someone's body or lay around in the air and eventually kill people" Mazi said.

I pushed Maze off of me, "So what do we do" I asked.

"We keep Paige safe because a lot of people want her dead, Ophelia can still claim the magic that is already left for her, we need a human body and to find Ophelia artifact" Maze said.

"So you don't have it?" I asked

"No, your father didn't want it to be found, he doesn't want you two to be reunited", Mazikeen said.

Paige slowly walked over to me and touched my arm, she was showing me that I could trust her, I could feel her powers, she needed my help and I needed hers.

Mazikeen and I started talking about the possible places Ophelia could be, Maze had a map of places she had already been when she went looking for Ophelia, New Orleans and Los Angeles were the two places she hadn't been yet.

Maze had told me she thinks the artifact has been moving throughout the century. As Maze was explaining to me where we would look, I got another vision, I saw Stefan and Damon looking for me, then Klaus going around asking people if they've seen me, Klaus went to the Salvatore house threatening everyone.

I told Maze that I had to go, I begged Maze and Paige to come with me, Maze said we wouldn't make it on time to protect Stefan and his friends, so Mazikeen reminded me that I am capable of teleportation, so I grabbed Paige and Mazikeen's arm and I teleported us to the Salvatore house.

We landed in front of the Salvatore door, I walked through and I saw Klaus, Stefan, Damon, Elena, and Caroline all in the living room. Elena was hiding behind Damon while Stefan was standing next to Caroline, Klaus turns around and looks at me.

"Finally, we meet once again, sister" Klaus says angrily

"You know, how?" I asked, walking closer to him

"Well, I had a little witch tell me, I read our mothers journal. You see, it was quite easy to get into Elijah's head while he lays daggered in a coffin" Klaus replied.

"Is that how you treat family, you dagger them and leave them to rot, honestly I shouldn't ask much from you to love your family when you don't even love yourself" I said, "you hide behind this person you've become Niklaus, a monster".

I lift my hand up to Klaus and I start to break his bones as he is transforming into a werewolf, Klaus screams in pain and falls to the floor because he isn't used to changing, I broke each and everyone of Klaus bones, as he looked up at me, I snapped his neck.

When I tried to walk over to Stefan, I felt light headed, everything started to spin, I fainted. Stefan ran to catch me before my head could hit the floor, I was confused, that spell wasn't too big for me, there was something that was around and it made me weak.

I thought about it, was it Ophelia?
