"What is happening?!!!" Iridessa cried, covering her ears as she ran out of the room into the corridor, but she saw nobody. The voices grew louder. She sighed and followed the voices to the vice chancellor's office, gently knocked on the door, and entered...

"Miss Billy," the vice chancellor said. Mrs. Sarah turned and hugged Iridessa. "Mummy, what is wrong with me?!" she cried.

"It's okay, baby!" Sarah wiped her tears.

"Is she the monster that almost killed my son?" a lady in her late thirties snapped.

"Watch your language, Mrs. Smith; my child is not a monster..."

"I want her expelled, Mr. Vice Chancellor, not interrogating her," Mrs. Smith muttered...

"We can't just expel her without a proper investigation, Mrs. Smith, but for the safety of other students and to assist the cops in carrying out their investigation, the school board made a decision." He paused and brought out a brown envelope, placing it on the desk...

"Miss Iridessa Billy, you're hereby suspended from your position as captain of the swimming team, head cheerleader, and your application for this year's prom queen has been revoked," the Vice Chancellor said...

"Good!!!!" Mrs. Smith smiled...

"And his son?" Mrs. Billy faced Mrs. Smith...

"He tried to rape my daughter," Sarah yelled.

"Rape?" Mrs. Smith chuckled. "They were dating."

"That's enough!" Iridessa yelled and turned to the Vice Chancellor. "Can I still come to school?"

The Vice Chancellor sighed and wiped his face. "I'm sorry, child, you have been suspended from school activities," he blurted out.

Iridessa bit her lips as tears streamed down her face. She bowed, picked up the letter, and stormed out of the Vice Chancellor's office.
