Chapter 4 4

Dressed in a maid uniform, Vanessa went to look for Bloom in the kitchen.

She found Bloom giving orders to some servants and waited for her to finish.

"Oh! Vanessa. Are you well enough to start today?" Bloom asked since she was the sick recruit who was taken to the infirmary.

Vanessa: "I am. I heard the guards say there's a wedding today so I decided to help."

Bloom: "I know I shouldn't say this, but I'm glad you're here. Actually, everyone's doing their part but we could use some more hands."

Vanessa: "How can I help you?"

"Before we start. There are some things you need to know about STONE CASTLE. I wouldn't want you to step on anyone's wrong foot." Bloom said as she pulled her onto a chair.

___"As you already know, the STONE castle belongs to the KING family and since the death of the big boss, his son Francis has taken charge"

___"When it comes to Francis, we don't do much since he prefers to clean his mess so if you're not called by him, don't go near his stuff and there's Jerome, my crazy brother"

___"He's Francis' right hand man and second in command, stay away from him. He's a womanizer" Bloom said and Vanessa laughed.

__"And there's Naomie. After Francis and Jerome, she's the third in command and it's only because she was dating Francis but now that he's getting married, she's going to lose her title soon, which I think is good by the way"

Vanessa: "Judging by your tone, you don't get along with her?"

___"Naomie feels superior to everyone except Francis and his slutty friend Mirabelle. Stay away from them if you see them. And then there's Gray who you've already met"

"He's an asshole" Vanessa said, remembering how he hit Beth the other day.

___"Gray is like that in front of all the recruits but when you get to know him more you'll see he's not really a tough guy and finally there's Victor"

Vanessa: "Who's Victor?"

___"He's Francis' cousin and just like Francis he prefers to keep his business quiet and he's very cold and hard to get along with . Remember not to get on his bad side"

"So that's it. Everyone I mentioned is your superiors including me but you don't have to be formal, I prefer we treat each other like friends" Bloom said and smiled.

"Vanessa, are you there? " Hearing Beth's voice, she went to meet her.

Bloom was busy checking the number of wine they have when Vanessa walked in with Beth accompanied by Chris.

"Bloom, I'd like you to meet my friend Beth and this is Chris" Vanessa said as she introduced the trio.

As soon as Bloom saw Chris, she couldn't take her eyes off him. A smile spread across her face as she shook his hand, her heart beating faster than usual.

"So, are you two coming for the wedding?" Bloom asked, her eyes still on Chris.

Beth: "Well, I was planning on coming briefly, but Chris isn't going"

Chris: "Parties aren't my thing"

Beth: "Actually, Chris came here to see if he can use a phone, he needs to call someone" "

Well, there's no phone here but you can use mine. It's in my room, follow me" Bloom said quickly and together they left.

"Everyone is busy downstairs and you are here in slow motion. Come with me" a maid said getting her attention.

As she followed the maid Vanessa couldn't help but look back at the guy, she was surprised to find him staring at her.

She found herself smiling at him before following the maid downstairs. "Do I really have to wear this?" Francis asked Jerome who was helping him fix the tie.

Jerome: "You have to be kidding right? It's your wedding dude and I know you're used to your t-shirt and all but you have to dress up for today"

"Why do I feel like you're not happy?" Jerome asks when he saw Francis sad look

Francis: "That's my happy face you see like that"

Jerome: "Is it Cassandra? She doesn't want to get married?"

Francis: "If that was all I would be like but she keeps pretending to be someone else"

"Pretending to be someone else? Explain" Jerome asks and Francis told him everything.

Jerome: "What do you feel? Does she seem like she's lying?"

Francis: "I don't know."

Jerome: "Then why don't you find out the truth. If she's not Cassandra, then it's not right to marry her."

"Or do you intend to marry her knowing she's not Cassandra?" Jerome asks again, walking towards him.

___"Don't tell me you fell in love with her?"

Francis: "You know that's impossible."

Jerome: "You don't know it but there's something about this girl that has softened you up. We've been friends for a long time, do you think I don't notice?"

"Well, it's good that you're changing but what will you do if it turns out she's not Cassandra, will you let her go?"

"Stop with the questions and go get dressed. "Your work as a witness is also important," Francis said, taking his suit and heading towards the door.

Jerome: "I can hear your heart beating from here? "

"Shut up" Francis replies, leaving the room.

Flora was dreading this whole wedding thing when Lita and the maid arrived with her wedding dress.

Judging by the way the dress fit her, Flora now knew that Crystal and Cassandra had planned this all along.

Just to get out of an unwanted marriage, they made Francis believe she was Cassandra and lured her here by pretending she was delivering a package.

She knew her employers were rich, cunning and obnoxious people but she didn't expect them to be cruel.

Through their lies and deceit, she's going to marry a man she doesn't love and there's nothing she can do about it.

"The maid and I are going to leave so you can have some time alone" Lita informs and Some time later, Flora was left alone.

At the moment, a maid reveals holding a white envelope.

"I was told to give this to you" the maid said.

"Who is it from?" Flora asks but the maid didn't bother to answer before leaving the room.

A puzzled Flora opens the envelope to see what's inside.

Flora read the details on how she can escape without anyone seeing her.

She put the paper down wondering if someone is playing with her but she will have to take a risk, she has to.

She didn't have time to change her clothes, Instead she lifted her dress and left the room in a hurry before anyone arrived.

On the other hand, Francis arrived at Flora's room as soon as she left.

He was surprised to find it empty and was about to leave when he saw the letter.

Flora can be seen taking a narrow path, trying her best to stay out of sight.

She entered the woods and just like her savior had written in the letter.

A car was waiting for her, she takes off her wedding veil, she threw it on the grass and got into the car.

"Drive, drive and get me out of here" Flora said as the man in the car drove out of the woods and away from the STONE castle.

"As soon as she gets to the hotel, she'll call Chris and find a way to get back to California before Francis finds her": Flora thought

Suddenly, the driver stops the car, surprising poor Flora.

Flora: "What's wrong?"

"It's the boss, I'm sorry but I have to go" the man said as he got out of the car and ran into the woods.

Two men went after the man while Francis walked to his car to open the door.

"Get down" he said softly but she didn't move

"Get downdddddd" he shouted
