Chapter 2 YO-YO

I could hear noises, sniff the faint odor of antiseptic sustenance in the air.

I cracked my eyes open, it was a bit blurry at first.

I was somewhere-but where?

I lay on a bed, the room was too bright.

Blinking few times, my vision seem to return.

I see other people, laying on the bed just like me.

But something was plugged into their hands-was it safe?

I looked at mine, I was also plugged in. PANICKED!

I want to get up-ask where am i?-who am i?-and what's this in my hand? But I can't.

When i tried, my whole body surge in pains. This was harder than i thought.

I looked to my left, three figures stood there.

They seem to be saying something, their faces serious.

One of them notice me, she is a tall female, wearing a sky blue scrub.

"Doc!" She said, as her finger pointed right at me.

The remaining two figures stare back, my gaze fixed on them-scanning-alarm-they all walked towards me.

"Doctor, this is a miracle." Another female spoke up. She's also wearing the same sky blue scrub. But when it comes to height, she's opposite to the first female.

After getting closer towards me. The tall female walked to my right, helping me to sit up straight.

It hurt, i endured.

Bearable than me trying to sit up on my own.

The short female remain at the left, with a man on white coat who they call DOCTOR.

The man stared at me, his smile cracked up. Three line of winkled validly formed at the corners of his eyes.

"How are you?" He spoke. His words simply yet calming, with voice as gentle as summer.

Is he old? Not quite.

Young? I doubt.

He seem to be around 40 of age-man's middle age.

He's quite charming, not the definition of handsome, but sure, he could get any female he likes with a snap of his fingers.

With light dark skin and mature features, any woman will be swayed by him.

But the problem lies in his eyes, a sense of tiredness evidence in them.

"Hello!" He called out, drawing me out from my daze.

I stared at him, blinked twice, giving him a pin of acknowledgment.

He's smile seem to crack up even more.

"My name is doctor Gabriel, what's your's?" He asked, directing an unknown question to me.

Confused, I stretched my brows. "What... is... your's?" Repeating the same words one after another.

"No, what-is-your-name?" The doctor corrected.

I stared at him, looked down.

"My name, my name..." murmuring the words under my breath.

I seem not to remember, but why?

Why can't I remember my name?

I had a name, right?-but what was it?

What was my name?

I looked up at the doctor, my nails deepen into my skin as I murmured. "I... don't... remember."

The doctor and two females looked at each other.

The short began writing something down, while the tall female began checking on the stuff plugged into my hand.

"Hey child, don't worry, i will just ask you few more questions." He said, i nodded.

"Do you remember your birthday?" He asked.

My birthday~ my birthday~

I know what it means, but can't remember.

A day of celebration for everyone child.

The day you were born, the day you will be celebrated. My birthday.

But this is difficult, why?!

It's all simple question that i should remember, but I can't.

I want to scream-hit my head on the walls-roll over till i remember something.

But I can't, not here and now. They might think I'm mad or something.

So i nodded-NO.

"Okay!" The doctor acknowledged.

"Then what do you remember?" He asked, as if it's the last resolve.

I stared at him. I felt hurt, angry, disappointed in myself for unknown reasons.

I closed my eyes, and thought, what was the last thing I remembered?

Nothing came.

Shutting it even tighter, but my mind remained blank, as if someone clicked on delete memories.

I opened my eyes back, but couldn't look at the doctor, staring down I said, "I really can't remember anything."

He tapped me on the shoulder, and spoke in a reassuring tone, "don't worry, it will all come back." Before walking away with the other ladies.

I sat on the bed, SIGH!

Without looking at the mirror I could tell how pale my face is just by looking at my hands.

SIGH!

"Hello Mr Angel" Someone called out, i turn sideways couldn't find anyone.

I thought I heard a voice?

Oh well~

I shut my gaze closed.

I must be exhausted-my mind's playing tricks on me.

"Mr Angel!"

My gaze flew open. Pretty sure I heard something now.

But what?...

My gaze scanning the entire room.

"Mr Angel, is something wrong?"

I heard it again.

The voice, sounding more mechanic then human.

"Who's there?~" Should I panicked?-NO.

People here might think i've gone mad, but what do i do?

"My kind is know as the Heavenly System Service Repayment, in short: HSSR. But you can just call me Yo-Yo."

"What?! Who's talking? Show yourself." My calmness slowly fading away.

"But I'm right here Mr Angel."

"Where?" My gaze scavenging around.

"Down here."

I looked down, what was i saw freak me out.

It was an eye, as big as a baby head, with four wings behind it's back.

"Ahh!!" I drew back. "Argh!" Pain surge in quickly into my body.

Yo-yo moved closer towards me. "Be careful Mr Angel-"

"Stay back." I urged him. He redrew.

"Mom what's wrong with that kid?" A female asked. Her voice ringing in whispers.

"Just look away, i heard he was hit by a car, and has been unconscious for two days now, so his brain must have taken much more damage... chai! What a poor child."

Hearing that, i composed myself. Now they're thinking I'm mad.

But can't they see a big eyes, the size of a baby head, with wings right here.

Or maybe they see, and it's normal to them.

But~

Should I ask someone?

No. Let's just stay calm and ask what it wants.

"Hey-"

"Yo-yo." The creature corrected.

"O-kay! Yo-yo, what do you want from me?" I asked. While keeping a bed length distance away from it.

"The heavens sent me to you for repayment."

"Repayment?"

"Yes Mr Angel... you should have died in that accident but the heavens saved you, and now you have to repay."

"The heaven, wants me to repay... what do they want from a kid like me?"

"Well you are required to write 20 different novels that's entertaining to the audience. And those novel genres will be decided by me-"

"What? Write? Novels?"

"Yes Mr Angel, are there any problem?"

"I don't know, since the heavens saved me, but failed to save my memories, and now you came from no where, claiming to collect repayments."

"Your memories?-"

"Hmm! They're all gone."

"That's not a problem, it can be restored but you attitude lacks gratification Mr Angel."

"What?-"

"Memories loading, in five second you will fall into a deep unconsciousness, and all your memories will unfold like a movie to you."

"Wait! What?~"

"Three..."

"Hey!"

"Two..."

"Wait!"

"One!"

BLACK OUT.
