Slowly, she pushed herself up and looked around.
Everything was different now.
She was in a strange place, one she had never seen before.
The ground beneath her was smooth and shiny, like glass, and the air was thick and heavy.
In the distance, strange lights flickered like stars, casting an eerie glow.
The sky was a swirling mix of colors purple, blue, and silver.
"Where am I?" she whispered to herself, her voice barely a whisper.
She looked around, her eyes searching the dark expanse.
In the distance, she saw something moving.
It was Ravyn, his figure outlined by the strange lights.
He was running toward her, his face filled with worry.
"Seraphina!" he called, his voice echoing in the strange, silent world. "Are you alright?"
She nodded, though she felt far from okay.
"I think so," she said, standing up slowly.
Ravyn reached her in seconds, his eyes scanning her with concern.
"What happened? One minute, we were fighting that creature, and the next, we were falling into this... place."
Seraphina glanced around again, still unsure of what to make of it all.
"I don't know," she said.
"But I have a feeling we're not alone here."
Just as she spoke, a soft, eerie laugh echoed in the distance.
It sounded like someone or something was watching them.
Ravyn's hand instinctively went to his sword.
"Stay close," he murmured, his voice tense.
Seraphina felt a shiver run down her spine.
She hadn't felt this kind of danger since the first time the wolves attacked her.
But this felt different and darker somehow.
Before she could say anything else, the ground beneath them trembled.
"What was that again?" she asked, her voice cracking.
Ravyn looked around, his eyes narrowed. "We're not alone."
From the shadows, figures began to appear.
First, one, then two, then dozens of them.
They were like shadows with glowing eyes creatures that seemed to melt into the darkness and reappear in flashes of light.
One of them stepped forward.
It was a tall figure, wearing a dark cloak.
Its eyes were glowing red, and its face was hidden in shadow.
"Who are you?" Ravyn demanded, his voice steady but firm.
The figure didn't respond immediately.
Instead, it reached up and pulled back its hood.
A woman stood before them, her face pale, her eyes glowing like fiery embers.
"I am Morrigan," she said, her voice cold and smooth. "And you, Seraphina, are exactly who we've been waiting for."
Seraphina's heart skipped a beat.
"Waiting for me? But... why?"
Morrigan smiled, but there was no warmth in it.
"You are the key. The prophecy has spoken of you for centuries. The one who will bring balance... or destroy it all."
Seraphina took a step back, her thoughts spinning.
"What do you mean? I'm just a girl. I don't have any power."
Morrigan's smile only widened.
"You have more power than you realize, Seraphina. The power inside you is far greater than you can imagine."
"Stay back!" Ravyn growled, stepping in front of Seraphina protectively.
"We won't let you use her."
Morrigan raised an eyebrow. "Use her? No. We're not here to 'use' her. We are here to help her realize her true potential."
Seraphina looked from Morrigan to Ravyn, her mind in a whirl.
"What are you talking about? Who are you really?"
Morrigan's eyes flickered with amusement.
"I am the leader of the Shadows. We have been hiding in this place, waiting for the right moment to guide you... to help you unlock your full potential."
"Unlock my potential?" Seraphina repeated, still confused.
"Why would you want to help me? What do you want from me?"
"We don't want anything from you, Seraphina,"
Morrigan said softly, her voice almost gentle.
"We want you to embrace who you truly are. We want you to become the leader you were meant to be."
Seraphina shook her head.
"I don't understand. I don't want to be anyone's leader. I just want to be free. I want to live my life without all this chaos."
Morrigan's gaze softened, but there was a hint of sadness in her eyes.
"You cannot escape what you are, Seraphina. The world needs you. You are the one who will bring balance to the chaos... or you will destroy it all."
Seraphina took a deep breath.
"I don't want to destroy anyone. I just want to understand who I am."
"You will, soon enough," Morrigan said.
"But first, you must make a choice. You must choose whether you will accept your power or deny it."
"Choose?" Seraphina repeated, her voice small.
Ravyn stepped closer, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Seraphina, don't listen to her. We can find another way. We'll figure this out together."
Morrigan smiled, though it was a sad smile.
"There is no other way. The prophecy is clear. You must choose now."
Suddenly, a loud, deep growl filled the air.
Seraphina's heart raced as she looked around, searching for the source of the sound.
Out of the darkness, a massive creature appeared.
It was a giant wolf, its fur black as night and its eyes glowing red.
Its teeth were sharp, and it snarled as it slowly moved toward them.
Ravyn stepped forward, his sword drawn.
"Stay behind me," he said, his voice low and steady.
But the wolf didn't attack immediately.
It stopped a few paces away, its glowing eyes locked onto Seraphina.
"You have chosen to defy fate," the wolf growled, its voice deep and menacing.
"Now you will pay the price."
Seraphina's heart pounded in her chest.
She had no idea what to do.
She had no idea what was happening.
All she knew was that she was in danger, and the wolf was closing in.
"What do you want from me?" she cried.
The wolf growled again, but this time, it wasn't just an ordinary growl.
The sound was filled with magic, dark and powerful.
"I am the guardian of your destiny, Seraphina," the wolf said.
"You cannot escape what you are meant to become."
Before she could say anything else, the wolf lunged at her with incredible speed.
Ravyn shouted, "Seraphina, no!"
Seraphina closed her eyes, her heart in her throat, but before she could react, a bright light filled the air.
It was like the moon itself had exploded with light.
She opened her eyes, and there was a brilliant, silvery glow around her.
The wolf's claws were inches away from her, but it stopped, as if held back by some invisible force.
The glow around her grew brighter, until it completely surrounded her.
"What is this?" Morrigan whispered, her eyes wide with surprise.
The light flickered and twisted, and then a powerful wave of energy shot out from Seraphina, knocking the wolf back.
The creature yelped in pain as it was thrown across the ground.
The light around Seraphina dimmed, but she felt something inside her shift.
It was as if a part of her that had been asleep for so long had finally woken up.
Ravyn's eyes widened as he looked at her.
"Seraphina, what just happened?"
She looked down at her hands.
They were glowing with a soft, silvery light, and she could feel a strange energy flowing through her.
"I... I don't know," she whispered.
But before they could say anything else, a voice echoed in the distance.
It was dark and cold, filled with malice.
"You think you can stop me?" the voice hissed.
Seraphina looked up in shock, her heart pounding.
The ground trembled beneath her feet, and she felt a presence, a dark, terrible presence approaching.
And then, from the shadows, a figure stepped forward.
It was the same giant creature, but now it was no longer a wolf.
It had transformed into something even darker something monstrous.
The creature spoke again, its voice full of rage.
"You cannot hide from your fate, Seraphina. You are mine."
Seraphina's heart raced.
The creature was coming closer, and she felt herself growing weaker.
"Ravyn... what do we do?" she gasped.
Ravyn stepped in front of her, his sword raised high.
"We fight."
But the creature's eyes glowed brighter as it lunged toward them, its claws extended.
And then, the ground cracked open beneath them once again.
