Chapter 7 Human Mate

Mrs Carson

"Where have you been, Kyle? Have been searching everywhere for you."

I gave him a suspicious look as he walked up to me with an angry expression all over his face.

I need no soothsayer to tell me he is coming from Everett's room. That's the only thing that can make my son this angry. I know him quite well. I'm his mother after all.

"Where do you think, mom? "My brother just got married, and I have to fulfill my duties to him as a part of the family.

"I just had to congratulate him on making his position even more solid as an alpha and, apparently, I don't think I stand a chance to compete with him seeing the location of things."

"Say no such thing, Kyle, you are my son, and I'm lucky to have an ambitious boy like you as my son. No matter what happens, you are the true alpha and the only successor to everything your father has built. Everett is an outcast who is only living at the moment."

"Yeah, we have a plan and this whole marriage thing was part of the plan. Despite the fact that we helped him secure his position a bit, we planned to use this to our advantage."

"But you never told me the bride would be so beautiful.I mean she is a human, because there is no way that thing out there is a wolf like us. She is human, and yet she looks dashing, and I suddenly want her for myself."

"Don't even think of it, Kyle, she is an object to be used by us and I won't have you ruin our plans for now. You can have her as a play thing after all this whole thing succeeds, but..."

"What do you mean by she is human?"

The frown on my face deepened as I waited for his explanation.

Hannah was supposed to send her daughter here as a bride because she was a young woman with ambitions. I have seen her a few times and I made the marriage happen because she is the best person who would do this whole thing, but why would she send an ordinary human to me? Is it to test my patience or what?

"Why do you look surprised?"

"Don't you know that b*tch is actually human?" The mocking laughter from his lips made me roll my fist in a ball. How dare Hannah make a fool out of me?

"Are you serious here or is this one of your numerous pranks?"

"Common mom, I might be playful and all, but this isn't something to joke about. She is a fucking human, the smell is all over her, she isn't one of us."

He said, looking more serious, I furiously picked up my phone and placed a call directly to Hannah.

I waited patiently as the phone beeped, waiting for her to pick it up so I could let him lose.

"Greetings my Luna!" Her cheerful voice came from the other end.

"Is there a reason why you should address me as such when you have made a fool out of me?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"I asked your daughter, who is a werewolf like us, and you gave me a human. What do I do with her? Do you realize what you have done at all?"

"She is also my daughter, she is my stepdaughter, and she can do whatever you ask of her as much as my daughter would do.

"I sent her over to aid your plan. Think about it, you and I are friends and our children are supposed to make our bond strong by being together, not by being an object of revenge."

"And did you discuss this with me before?"

"I didn't but, after thinking about the whole thing, I think it's the best thing to do.

"We needed someone worthy of carrying the alpha's heir, and you sent a mere human after reasoning out the whole situation all by yourself, you have nothing to say to justify yourself for doing what you actually did.

"I actually do have, if only you would listen to me."

"Scarlet might be human, but her birth father is an alpha King, that aside."

"That girl is the perfect candidate for your revenge tool."

"She is desperate as she is. When a crisis comes, she has no one to run to and would only endure."

"I actually promised her freedom if she could bear the alpha child and, after everything she has gone through here, she would be seeking for means to leave as soon as she could so her misery could end".

"So what do you say? Do you still think she wouldn't be as perfect as you want? I urge you to give her a try and see for yourself."

"Just in case she refuses, just place a call across to me and I will handle the rest from here."

"Handle the rest?"

I asked, unsure of what I just heard. Part of what she is saying actually makes a little sense, but I can't risk giving out such an important task to a human.

"Yes, the girl might act foolish at times, trying to act righteous and all but a little scolding from here would make her head straight."

"Now your girl has to be controlled by you,a righteous human to perform this task? I don't think you know what you are actually doing."

"You still have time to right your wrong before I inform the alpha of the crime you have committed. If you don't want him to unleash his wrath on you, do what you ought to."

I asked about ending the call, but she was quick to stop me.

"Why do you sound like you actually care for the alpha when you don't?"

"I mean, you want him dead, so your son can take over his position flawlessly, isn't that your plan?"

"All I'm doing is for your own benefit and also, maybe I'm trying to protect my daughter from being an outcast, but sending that girl to you would make your plans easier if only you could see the opportunity lying between this whole thing."

"What opportunity could be here Hannah? What good would a human do to me, an upright one to start with?"

"A lot, he is an unwanted alpha, and you want to provide him with the best of the best so he will become a pest that can never be uprooted."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Deborah, my daughter, is a true alpha queen. "What do you think would happen if she gets married to your stepson, who you desperately want out?"

"His position as the alpha would become even stronger, and he would not only lead your pack, he would lead mine as well, since Deborah is the heir here. What would be your gain?"

"Nothing! Cause instead of getting him out, you are making him even stronger, and he will just remain the alpha forever while you end up groveling under him.

"Scarlet is a weakness to him. Use her to your advantage till you have him exactly where you want."

I never thought about this.I guess she saved me from making a mistake. I would forever live my life without regret.

"If that's the case, your daughter will get married to my son when the time is right, and I wouldn't tolerate any excuses from you when the time comes."

"I will gladly hand her over to you and I won't back down on my words this time around."I could imagine the smile on her face as the words came out of her mouth.

"So, what's the smile for?"

Kyle asked impatiently.

"Having him mated to a human might be a good idea after all.I have heard the opportunities attached to it and I must say that she is the best candidate for this." The smile on my face widened even more.

"No mom,that girl is too beautiful for Everett. You need to see her. Her face and curves are everything I want in a woman. Let's just switch this whole thing, so I can have her to myself."

"Patience son, keep your emotions and body in check. I wouldn't want you to ruin this whole thing for me.

"So,what are you suggesting we do and what's the fun of having a human get married to an alpha?"

"As horrible as this might sound,we need to make our move using her,she is gonna serve as a weakness to Everett since she is human."

"If he had gotten married to Deborah,it would have been a disaster cause he would automatically become the alpha to the pack as well and we might never be able to get rid of him since Deborah is an alpha queen herself."

"So,we might be able to use the fact that the girl is human to pin him down when he is actually desperate for something and it can also serve as a means to take him out completely,I think I'm loving this."

"Yes,we are,I will approach the girl when the time is right but you should keep your hands off before that time and focus on the bigger picture..."
