Chapter 5 Didina's pov

Didina's pov

"No" the word from Bryan echoed loudly in my ears. My eyes were immediately filled with tears and words choked in my mouth.

"I'm.... Sorry.... I'd do anything. Please help me Bryan" I begged. He looked at me with cold eyes and I could see my world fall down in my eyes.

My phone rang, looking at it and seeing Rhoda's name. I picked up the call, clearing my throat "Rhoda"

"Your grandma is going into the next surgery. She needs blood, you are needed here." My heart dropped hearing it.

I dropped the call, got up from the floor. Bryan stares at me, no sign of emotions on his face. I sighed knowing that Hera won before the battle started.

"I have to go. My grandma has been rushed into the IUC again and I need to donate blood. I hope you consider my request" I turned to leave but stopped at the door, "I'm sorry that I stole"

I dashed out of the office and walked out of the company with tears in my eyes. I started my car and drove to the hospital, breaking every traffic rule and running past different red lights.

**Bryan's pov**

Watching Didina rush out of my office broke a wall in me. I was angry at her for stealing after I had helped her but something in me wants to help her more even after what she did.

Andrew walked into the office with some files, he dropped it and turned to leave.

"Did I do the right thing, Andrew?" I asked as he was the only person who let me know the ugly truth.

"Sir? I don't get you?" He asked, confused. I narrated what happened to him, he looked confused as I was.

"So.... Did I do the right thing?" I asked again

"Truthfully..... if you are in a position to help, then you should. She seems desperate to even consider a contract marriage." He said to me and brought out his phone as he typed on it.

"Ummm"

"If you want to do something, do it now. Her company's building has just been put up for sale and her sister is about to pay millions of dollars to acquire it." He informed me and something in me ticked, I don't know if I was tired of seeing Didina being bullied.

"Call the building manager, do what you must but Hera must not get her hands on that building. When you done, get Didina to meet me back here"

"Yes sir" Andrew said and walked out to carry out my instructions. I turned my chair to face the window as I viewed the city from above.

Didina's Pov

I rushed into the hospital at the speed of light. The nurses took me into a room and began to draw blood from me. Rhoda stood by my side as they took my blood.

I felt weak after almost four pints of blood were taken out of me.

"Ma'am" she called as she gave me water, I looked up and her face spelled more bad news. I don't think I can take it anymore.

"Hera is on the bid to get our company building" she finally broke the news.

The news kept echoing in my head and almost immediately everything began spinning, and all I could hear was Rhoda screaming for the nurse and suddenly it became dark and silent.

Two hours later

My eyelid fluttered open slowly, the roof came to view. I turned to my left and I saw a drip connected to my hands.

I immediately remembered my grandma. I tried to get up but I suddenly felt dizzy.

"Shit!" I exclaimed, just then Rhoda walked in.

"Ma'am! Thank God you are wake" she rushed to my bedside.

"What happened? Why am I in the hospital bed and I'm having a splitting headache." I asked the questions moving deeply in my mind.

"You passed out a few minutes after blood was drawn from you, the doctor said you were exhausted." Rhoda filled me up.

My eyes filled up with tears as I remembered what had been happening in the past twenty four hours.

"How is my grandma?" I asked hoping something went right today.

"She is out of surgery, she is fine but she I have not been able to see her, only family can do that" Rhoda informed me, I sat up and tired to get off the bed to go see but i became dizzy again and fell right back on the bed.

"Ma'am!" Rhoda rushed to me as she helped me, " you can't walk now. Your body is still recovering" she reprimanded me.

"But my grandma...." I tried to say

"She would be fine.... try and get better for now"

I sighed in frustration, tears filled my eyes. Hera would pay one way or another and I'm going to make sure of that. Just then Rhoda's phone rang, she picked it up and her face was drained of blood. She looked at me with pity eyes, contemplating if to break the news or not.

"I can handle it...." I reassured her

"The company has been sold out to an unknown person"

"Fuck!" I ran my hands through my hair, "No name was called?" I asked hoping I can try to meet the person to work out a deal.

"No ma'am..." just then the door was opened, a nurse walked into the room, followed by a man who looked oddly familiar.

"Miss Didina, this man is here for you" The nurse says and I nodded

"Thank you..." I said and the nurse turned to leave.

"Who are you?" I was not really in the mood to entertain visitors.

"Sorry for the intrusion, I'm Andrew Lee, the assistant to Mr Bryan" my eyes widened.

"My Bryan? He sent you?" I asked ,hoping for a little ray of sunshine in this rain storm.

"Master Bryan requires your presence in his office to discuss the terms of what you suggested to him" his broke the news to me

My eyes swell up with tears and for the first time today it was tears of joy.

"Tell him I will be there by two tomorrow" I said, my heart filled with hope.

"The battle is not over yet, Hera."
