Chapter 3 The meeting

The next day, Lexi arrived at the coffee shop early, her nerves on edge. She had no idea what Julian wanted to talk about, but she had a feeling it was going to be important.

As she waited for Julian to arrive, Lexi's mind wandered back to their conversation the night before. What had Julian been hiding? And what did he want to tell her today?

Just as she was starting to get anxious, Julian walked in, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on her. He smiled, and Lexi's heart skipped a beat.

"Hey," he said, sliding into the booth across from her. "Thanks for meeting me."

Lexi nodded, her eyes locked on his. "What's going on, Julian? You're starting to scare me."

Julian's expression turned serious, and he leaned forward, his elbows on the table. "I have something to tell you, Lexi. Something that could change everything."

Lexi's heart was racing now, her mind racing with possibilities. What could Julian possibly have to tell her that would change everything?

And then, just as Julian was about to speak, his phone rang. He hesitated for a moment before answering, his expression darkening as he listened to the caller.

Julian's eyes locked on Lexi's as he listened to the caller, his expression growing increasingly grim. Lexi's heart was racing now, her mind racing with possibilities.

Who was on the phone? And what did they want?

As Julian listened to the caller, his face grew darker and darker, his eyes flashing with anger. Lexi could tell that he was struggling to keep his temper in check.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Julian hung up the phone, his chest heaving with anger. "I'm sorry, Lexi," he said, his voice tight with rage. "I have to go."

Lexi's eyes widened in surprise. "What's going on, Julian? Who was that?"

Julian's expression turned cold, his eyes glinting with a fierce light. "That was my brother," he said, his voice dripping with venom. "And he's going to pay for what he's done."

With that, Julian turned and strode out of the coffee shop, leaving Lexi staring after him in shock.

Lexi was stunned. What had just happened? And who was Julian's brother?

As she sat in the coffee shop, trying to process what had just occurred, Lexi's mind was racing with questions. What was going on with Julian? And what did his brother have to do with anything?

Determined to get some answers, Lexi pulled out her phone and started searching for information on Julian Blackwood. But as she scrolled through the search results, she realized that there was very little information available about him.

It was as if Julian Blackwood was a ghost, a man who didn't exist. And yet, Lexi knew that he was very real indeed.

As Lexi continued to search for information on Julian, she stumbled upon a mysterious article that caught her eye. It was an old news story about a wealthy family who had been involved in a bitter feud.

As Lexi read through the article, she realized that the family in question was the Blackwoods. And Julian's brother was mentioned by name.

Lexi's eyes widened as she read the article, her mind racing with possibilities. What was going on with the Blackwood family? And what did Julian's brother have to do with it?

Determined to get some answers, Lexi decided to do some more digging. She was going to uncover the truth about Julian Blackwood, no matter what it took.
