Chapter 5 Engaged her

Adams POV

When the night had come, I was already tired from the amount of calls that Jolie had been sending for me.

Everything about this woman has been toxic since I got engaged to her. I could understand her frustration being that we had no child, but it was not my fault.

I could still remember the words of the doctor and I clearly did not want to believe that was the case with me. I cannot be impotent not to have a child.

I switched the phone off and stepped out the premises of the hotel, which was one of my biggest investment.

I noticed a limousine parked beside my car and wondered if the special guests that the investors were talking about could be the owner of this ride.

My eyes suddenly caught a young little girl staring at the direction of my car. Her curiosity picked my intrest and I approached her.

"Hey little Kid." She turned around and I froze at the sight before me.

This young girl looked exactly like me. Her eyes were the same colors with mine and we shared the same type of hair color too

"I am guessing you like the car." I asked and noticed the excitement on her face.

"I don't know, maybe it is the color or it is the way it stands just like that." She said pointing in the direction of the car.

"Where is your mother?" I asked.

"My mummy is insides." He turned around and turned back to look at me with a smirk on his face. "I escaped the security men that were hired to watch my movement. I needed to see this car at close range."

"What is your name little one?"

"Ella." She responded politely.

"And Ella, who is your mom?" The moment I asked, I noticed people approaching us and most especially a young woman and when she came within my sight, I froze as the familiar face stood before me.

"There she is!" Ella pointed and rushed over to give her a hug.

Is this truly Selina or am I hallucinating? Everything about her had changed, but her face was still the same before me.

Anxiety washed over me as our eyes came across each other and glued for a moment. She had sent her child back inside the hotel with the security men.

"Mr. Adams , I am glad you finally met our guest." We both break eye contact and Steve the investor stepped forward excitedly.

I shook his hands and turned my eyes to Selina again. She must be the guest that he had been talking about.

"This is the leader of the Neville Technologies and she is called..."

"You don't have to worry about that Mr. Steve, he knows my name." She said interrupting Steve.

I was taken aback by how much composure she had. Her tone was showing confidence and she had become even more beautiful from the last time we met.

"I can see you both are having a serious discussion, I will take my leave then..." He finished up and left for his car.

We stood there for a very long time, till she finally broke the state and turned around to leave, when I instinctively called her name.

"Ella." She stopped on her track and turned around to face me.

"I know you are very busy, but can I have a moment with you please?" I requested politely.

For a moment she took a pause and after a few seconds later, she took some steps forward and folded her hands, once she was close enough to me.

"I cannot believe this!" I admitted my reaction.

"Ofcourse you won't believe that the girl you thought was a nobody can stand up on her own and make an impact with herself." She responded with hate in her voice.

I begin to get flash back of how I had treated her years ago, when the fabricated news came out. Everyone got to understand from the video that it was never Selina but someone who looked like her.

"I understand if you hate me, but I believe this matter should be a past tense, once we are able to sort it out together."

"Sort what together? Have you forgotten quickly how you treated me? How you made me feel like a nobody? You dropped a divorce letter for me and when I begged you, what did Jolie called me that day? Yes a slut!"

There was no denying the anger in her eyes and I was beginning to panic. I did not want her to have that evil perspective about me. Everything that happened that day should be laid down to rest and that is why i called her in the first place.

"Selina I am sorry, I need you to forgive me."

I took some steps forward, but she stepped back seeing what I intended to do.

"Don't come close to me. Like I said before, I don't have anything against you, I have forgiven you and as you can see, I am living the best of my life."

I was instantly in regret for ever letting her go for someone like Jolie. Selina was never giving me issues at home like Jolie, she was very respectful and submissive.

"I will take my leave now."

"Is that child yours?" I asked, causing her to stop walking.

"Yes and don't you dare speak to her again." She warned sternly.

"You got married and you never told me?"

"Why should I tell you anything that happens in my life? We are old news remember? I signed the document that day." She said with a chuckle.

"I am still the same man you married!" I tried to raise my voice, but she raised her hand in gesture to silence me.

"I don't want you close to me, nor my child Adams . What you have done is in the past. You can go about living your life, while I go about living mine." She explained yet again.

"I understand that you are angry and don't want to have anything to do with me." I pulled out my card and handed it over to her. "That is my card, you can call me."

She hesitated, but too the card and stared at it for a moment. She hissed and dropped it to the floor and walk away, much to my shock.
