Chapter 9 The First Strike

Luca sat in his study, staring at the map laid out before him.

Every street. Every business. Every family's claimed territory.

Santino Scarpetti wasn't just expanding-he was positioning himself for a takeover.

Niccolo stood by the window, arms crossed. "What's the move?"

Luca exhaled, his fingers tapping against the desk. "We don't wait. We hit first."

Niccolo's gaze sharpened. "Who's the target?"

Luca's eyes flicked to a name on the map. Giorgio Vasquez.

A Scarpetti ally. Small-time, but essential to Santino's supply chain.

Taking him out wouldn't just send a message-it would cripple their operations.

Luca stood. "Get the team ready."

Niccolo smirked. "Thought you'd never ask."

The Raid – Vasquez's Warehouse

The night was thick with tension as Luca's men positioned themselves outside Vasquez's warehouse.

Guns were checked. Knives were unsheathed.

Luca moved through the shadows, his heartbeat steady. This wasn't just about revenge. This was war.

A quick nod to Niccolo. The signal was given.

Then-chaos.

The first gunshot rang out, followed by the roar of a dozen more.

Vasquez's men scrambled, caught off guard as Luca's crew swept through like a storm.

Luca moved fast, efficient. A man lunged at him-he ducked, drove his knife into his side, twisted. A scream. A body hitting the floor.

He didn't stop.

Through the smoke, he spotted Vasquez trying to escape.

Luca raised his gun. A single shot. Clean. Precise.

Vasquez collapsed.

And just like that-Santino Scarpetti had lost his first piece.
