Chapter 7 Wedding Planning And Chaos

Ethan and Liam's engagement was a whirlwind of excitement and chaos. They had decided to get married in just a few months, and they knew they had a lot of work to do to make it happen.

The first few days were a blur of wedding planning, with Ethan and Liam running around the city, visiting venues, meeting with caterers, and looking at flowers.

Ethan had always dreamed of having a big, fairytale wedding, but as they started planning, he began to realize that maybe that wasn't what he really wanted.

"Liam, I don't know if I want a big wedding," Ethan said, as they sat in their living room, surrounded by wedding magazines and brochures.

Liam looked at him in surprise. "What do you mean?" he asked.

Ethan shrugged. "I don't know, it just feels like it's all getting a bit too much. I want our wedding to be special, but I don't want it to be some big, over-the-top production."

Liam nodded thoughtfully. "I understand what you mean," he said. "But at the same time, I want our wedding to be a celebration of our love. I want to share it with our friends and family."

Ethan smiled, feeling a sense of relief. "I want that too," he said. "But maybe we can find a way to make it feel more intimate, more special."

Liam nodded, and the two of them spent the rest of the evening brainstorming ideas for their wedding.

As the days turned into weeks, Ethan and Liam's wedding planning started to come together. They had decided on a beautiful outdoor venue, with a stunning view of the city skyline.

They had also chosen a caterer, a florist, and a photographer. And they had even picked out their wedding attire – Ethan would be wearing a tailored tuxedo, while Liam would be wearing a stylish suit.

But despite all the progress they had made, Ethan couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. He didn't know what it was, but he knew that he wouldn't feel complete until he figured it out.

One day, as they were driving home from a meeting with their wedding planner, Liam turned to Ethan and asked, "Is everything okay? You seem a bit distracted lately."

Ethan sighed, feeling a sense of relief that Liam had noticed. "I don't know, it's just that I feel like something's missing," he said.

Liam nodded thoughtfully. "I think I know what you mean," he said. "I've been feeling it too."

Ethan looked at him in surprise. "Really?" he asked.

Liam nodded. "Yeah. I think we've been so focused on the logistics of the wedding that we've forgotten what it's really all about."

Ethan's eyes widened as he realized what Liam was saying. "Our love," he said.

Liam smiled. "Exactly. Our love is what's most important, not the flowers or the cake or the music."

Ethan felt a sense of clarity wash over him. He knew that Liam was right – their love was what truly mattered.

As they pulled into their driveway, Ethan turned to Liam and smiled. "Thank you," he said.

Liam looked at him curiously. "For what?" he asked.

Ethan's eyes shone with tears. "For reminding me what's truly important," he said.

Liam's face lit up with a smile, and he leaned over to kiss Ethan. "I love you," he said.

Ethan's heart soared as he wrapped his arms around Liam. "I love you too," he said.

As they hugged each other tightly, Ethan knew that everything was going to be okay. He had Liam, and he had their love – and that's all that truly mattered.
