Chapter 3 Living hell

Kareen's pov

After they left the house,I went to the kitchen and checked the pot if I will see something to scrub but to my outmost surprise they poured water in the pot.

Tears streamed out of my eyes and I entered my room to removed my school uniform.

And I wore my clothes,I only have six clothes and they are not even good again but I still managed them.

I left the room and I entered the first toilet and bathroom to wash we have three toilets and bathroom in the house.

I picked the sponge and washed absent mindedly,my mates are in school while am at home.

I don't really know the essence of me going to school because I only go two times in a day the time I attended most is three times....am really tired of my life.

The thought of tonight again, brought tears into my eyes.....there is no how he will not come today again.

"I don't know what came over my dad,he likes me before but since he started attempting to have sex with me and I did not agree he now even hates me more than my mum" I thought.

I washed and washed everything,I checked the time and it was 11 am already.

After I finished washing it,I locked the house,I wanted to wear my slippers and I discovered it has cut.

I became confused,and I don't know what to do,and if I did not reach my mum shop early she will kill me.

I managed and wore it carefully,I reached the road and many things filled my thoughts,my mum shop is very far.it will take me like 1 hour to reach there.

I don't have money for cab because am really tired today,I will just trek it because I usually trek it everyday.

I reached the shop and I saw my mum at the front.

My heart beat immediately I saw her, my heart used to beat rapidly whenever I see my mum and Dad.

I walked towards her.

"Mum good afternoon ma" I greeted her.

She did not answer she just hissed at me.

"Are you just supposed to be coming by this time....see the time that you are coming huh, what are you doing at home??" she asked and slapped me.

No.....thing maaaaa.....

"I have filled the tray with cup cakes, and have been waiting for you since..... just make sure you sell everything finish.If you did not finish selling it, don't come home" she said.

Yes mum.

"Mum" I called and scratched my hair.

No answer......

"Mum am hungry" I spilled it out.

I can't bear the hunger any more,so I have to ask her for food,if is just little I will appreciate her.

"Say it again" she asked.

"I.... said....that am hungry" I stammered.

"So you have the gut to say it in my front you thief, you know what is the hunger that will kill you" she said and kicked me in my belly.

"If you like don't sell the cup cakes finish or my money should not complete you will be a dead meat today" she said and left my presence.

Lidia's pov

The whole class was boring today without kareen ,I really missed her.

She is my only friends in school,many girls wants to be my friend because am very handsome, famous and rich but I did not give them the chance,some says am proud but I don't care.

I got down from my car and I was surprised to see my mum car in the compound.

"Why is she back so early today huh" I thought.

"I twisted her room door happily but she did not notice me,I saw her crying and holding a picture".

"Mum" I called.

Immediately I called her she quickly wiped her tears and kept the picture.

I knew she did not want me to see it that is the reason why she quickly kept it.

"Mum why are you crying"I asked her.

"My baby am not crying" she said and hugged me.

I felt like asking her more question but I kept quiet because I knew she does not want to talk about it.
