Chapter 2 Become His Luna

Amerta winced as she felt Argos's hand grip her more and more. She couldn't get any stronger because she felt burning sensation in the feet.

Amerta looked at Alpha Alvrada's with her wide-eyed stare. Her lover's arms were held by Beta Gobert's sword pointed at his neck.

"Please, release him..." That was Amerta's soft voice. "You can kill me! Don't kill him!"

"No! Don't hurt Amerta! Free her!" Alpha Alvrada firmly denied.

Amerta shook her head. His heart broke hearing Alpha Alvrada's words.

"No... please don't..."

Argos immediately looked interested. "What am I listening to now? A couple trying to give up their lives for each other?" he quipped with a mocking laugh.

Alpha Alvrada let out a wolf groan while looking at Beta Robert. He struggled to get free, but both legs were slashed by Uncle Gobert's sword. The Alpha's body collapsed and fell to its knees.

"Alpha," Amerta called softly.

"Oh, what a pity." Argos pretended to be pitiful, his voice a fake squeak. "Are there any last words you would say to him?"

Amerta couldn't say anything now. His tongue was too sore from seeing the sight of Alpha Alvrada struggling and growling while getting kicked in the back.

"I let you witness the death of your lover now, Princess Amerta," whispered Argos on purpose. He stroked her chin gently. "Tonight, everything you had was destroyed."

Amerta shook her head. She didn't want to accept the reality she faced tonight. Even though screams of pain came from around her mixed with the sounds of fighting, and even though she didn't see her parents again.

Amerta still remembers her father's promise to follow her. Her family will still gather and win this war. She believes Alpha Robert, her father, is a powerful royal leader.

After all, so far Alpha Robert has always won the territorial defense wars.

"You better realize, Amerta. You don't need to expect anything else after the destruction in front of your eyes now." Argos did not stop agitating in Amerta's ear. His whispers slowly made Amerta's eyes heat up as tears welled up there.

'Help us, Moon Goddes,' whispered Amerta in her heart.

"Now, say goodbye to your lover, Amerta!" Argos' tone rose and sounded more assertive. His body straightened and pushed Amerta's body like throwing garbage.

After Amerta's body fell, she couldn't get up because she felt the tip of the Argos sword on her back. Amerta only paid attention to Alpha Alvrada, who was already slumped helplessly.

When eye contact was established between them, Amerta's chest felt very tight. The pain in his leg was no bigger than how he felt seeing Alpha Alvrada's condition right now. Even more painful, Amerta can not do anything.

Amrita felt herself useless.

But there, Alpha Alvrada smiled at him. The intense emotion from the look in his dark eyes crushed Amerta's heart even more.

"Just kill me, let Amerta live her life freely..."

"If that's what you want, Alpha Alvrada."

A split second later, Amerta howled wildly as Beta Gobert's sword swung down to Alpha Alvrada's neck.

It happened so fast.

Amerta's eyes immediately blurred with tears. His heart ached more and more being hit by something, pressing until his screams were silent. As if the pain wasn't enough now, Amerta felt a strong kick from Argos that made her fall to the ground.

In that position, Amerta was half conscious. But he was still conscious enough to see two soldiers carrying the heads of the King and Queen-Amerta's parents.

"Did you see that, Princess Amerta?" Argos' tone whispered cynically, his satisfaction increased when he realized the suffering from Amerta's eyes. "What do you wish for now? No one can save you anymore."

"You traitor!" Amerta bullies Beta Gobert who doesn't do anything.

Beta Gobert just smiled proudly. As the other warriors cheered triumphantly, Beta Gobert brandished his sword. Omen holds the glory.

"You guys shouldn't treat me unfairly. After all, I should have gotten the Alpha position, but your father took that power away," said Beta Gobert.

"Who... treated you unfairly?" Feeling so tight, Amerta's voice stuttered.

There was a feeling of disapproval in his heart because he heard the humiliation of his parents. "No one treats you like that! It's... only... you! You are an evil devil!"

Beta Gobert couldn't hold back his laughter after hearing Amerta's words. His laughter was loud with the laughter of the other soldiers.

"Not treating me like that? Hey, who listens to me in the kingdom? Nothing! Who throws away everything I created, I suggest, then embarrasses me at every royal meeting?! Robert has made me lose respect and value in the Kingdom!"

It's useless for Amerta to deny Beta Gobert's words. After all, Beta Gobert was already overcome with anger. His hatred for Alpha Robert-Amerta's father is very strong. His thinking was already not clear.

Amerta's heart shattered into pieces. Amerta couldn't open her mouth to speak. The tears fell more and more. But Argos grabbed her chin and raised her head, forcing Amerta to see the three heads.

"Say goodbye to them, Amerta. Your family is no longer in control of your pack."

Amerta's lips trembled as long as her chin was tightly gripped by Argos. While groaning loudly, Amerta immediately looked away with all her might so as not to witness the painful sight in front of her.

'Everything... has been destroyed...' Amerta moaned to herself.

It wasn't long before Amerta heard the group's footsteps approaching this area. Then followed by the sound of Argos groaning and his body collapsing a few meters beside Amerta.

"You should be the one saying goodbye." The deep voice of an unfamiliar man was heard.

Amerta was too weak to witness what was happening. She can't even open her eyes because all of the pain inside her heart.

It hurts so much. Her parents are dead. Her lover is dead. All members and region of the Red Goddess pack under Alpha Robert's power were destroyed, nothing left.

The only thing Amerta thought was that she should also die. Is she half conscious now heading towards death?

"Amerta Cassa Galhart..."

Oh, the Moon Goddesses are calling her name to truly die.

Amrita smiled. Imagine if she could gather with his parents and Alpha Alvrada in the afterlife. They will all form a new family, just the four of them.

"... I made a promise since I first saw you now. I, Alpha Fredico Parvis Goltzius, inaugurate you to be my mate. Starting tonight."
