Chapter 2 2

"Who the hell are you?" Zara shouted, her voice hoarse from screaming. "Let me go!"

The driver didn't respond, and the masked figure sitting beside him, remained silent.

Zara's anger turned to fear as the masked figure slowly turned to face her, a gun pointed directly at her.

"Shut the hell up," he growled.

Zara's eyes widened as she recognized the masked figure. It was the same man from earlier.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she fell silent, her mind racing with thoughts of how she ended up here.

"This is the end for me," she whispered to herself.

As the tears streamed down her face, Zara's thoughts drifted back to the past, to the events that led her to this very moment...

Flashback to 9 months ago....

Zara's life was a mere illusion, a fragile façade constructed by the ruthless Patricia. It all began when Zara's father died, leaving her with a mountain of debt and a mysterious woman who showed up with a hefty man at the funeral hall.

"You're telling me my father borrowed money from you and used me as collateral?" Zara asked, her voice trembling with anger as tears rolled down her eyes.

Patricia smiled sweetly, her eyes glinting with malice. "That's right, darling. Your father was a desperate man. He needed the money, and I needed... insurance."

Zara's eyes widened as Patricia handed her a document with her father's signature. "This is insane. You can't just-"

Patricia's expression turned cold. "I can do whatever I want, Zara. You're mine now. You'll work for me, and you'll pay off your father's debt."

Zara was horrified, but she was also lonely. She reluctantly agreed to work for Patricia, who took her to a small restaurant where she met two other ladies working.

But Zara soon discovered that the restaurant was just a front for Patricia's real business: scamming rich men.

One day, Zara overheard Patricia and her employees discussing their next target: a wealthy CEO named Vince Green. It turns out that they do research about rich men who have dirt on them, they find a way to get money from them and discard them when done.

Zara was shocked and tried to slip away unnoticed, but Patricia caught her.

"Ah, Zara, I see you're finally interested in our little operation," Patricia said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "It's about time you joined the team."

Zara shook her head. "I won't be a part of this. I won't scam anyone."

Zara felt a stinging slap across her face, and her eyes welled up with tears.

Patricia's face twisted in anger. "You'll do exactly as I say, Zara. You owe me, and you'll pay me back however I see fit."

Zara knew she was trapped, and she had no choice but to obey Patricia. She nodded.

The next day, Patricia handed Zara a folder with Vince's information. "This is your mission, Zara. Seduce him, get his money, and bring it to me."

Zara opened the folder, and her eyes widened as she read about Vince's reputation. He was the son of the famous Charles Green. Vince is a drug addict and womanizer. He was someone who got away with whatever he did.

"This... this is absurd," Zara said, shaking her head. "I won't do it."

Patricia's expression turned cold. "Absurd or not, you're doing it"

"But why me?" Zara asked, desperation creeping into her voice. "Why can't one of the other girls do it?"

"Because, darling," Patricia said, her voice dripping with sweetness, "you're the perfect candidate for the job. You're beautiful, smart, and desperate. Vince won't stand a chance."

One of the ladies who worked with Zara at the restaurant, Rachel, spoke up from behind. "Patricia, come on. Do we need to involve Zara in this? She's still new."

"Quiet, Rachel," Patricia snapped, her eyes flashing with anger. "Zara is perfectly capable of handling this job. And besides, she owes me. Don't you, Zara?"

Zara nodded reluctantly, feeling a surge of fear. "Yes, I owe you."

Patricia smiled, seeming to savor Zara's fear. "Good. Then it's settled. Zara will take care of Vince, and we'll get paid."

Rachel shook her head, looking disgusted. "All you care about is money."

Patricia's smile grew wider. "That's right Rachel."

Zara felt a chill run down her spine as she realized the true extent of Patricia's power over her.

"Don't worry, Zara," Patricia said, her voice dripping with false sweetness. "You'll do fine. Just remember, Vince is a rich and powerful man. He's used to getting what he wants when he wants it. So be careful. Play your cards right, and you'll be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams."

Zara nodded, feeling a sense of dread wash over her. "Okay."

Patricia smiled, seeming to savor Zara's fear. "Good. I'm glad we understand each other. Now, let's get ready. Vince will be attending a charity gala tonight, and I have a feeling he'll be very interested in meeting you."

Zara's heart sank as Patricia handed her a dress and a pair of high heels. "It's time to put on a show, Zara. Are you ready?"

Zara took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. She knew she had no choice but to go through with this.

And then, Patricia's phone rang. She answered it, listened for a moment, and then turned to Zara with a sinister smile.

"It's time," Patricia said, her voice dripping with malice. "Vince is waiting. Let's go get ready."
