Chapter 5 The fake proposal

"Yes, I'll take the red dress then"I said, breaking the silence and drawing Dante's attention back to reality.

"Alright then, I'll have it delivered to your address in about an hour. Do you know how to drive?", he asked.

"Drive? Yes, why?".

"Take this, there's a grey Maybach parked just beside my black Bentley truck, you can't miss it. Go home, get some rest, long night ahead". My jaw dropped, he just handed me the keys to a Maybach. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined myself driving a Maybach, atleast not yet. I tried to hide the excitement in me, but it was just too hard to conceal.

"Knock yourself out", he said laughing out.

"Thank you".

I hurriedly went to the parking lot and it wasn't a dream, I was going to drive a Maybach home, I wondered what my neighbors would think. I just moved in barely a week already and I'm driving a Maybach? Ohh- well, I deserved a bit of the soft life too.

I was so excited, I had to call Jess on FaceTime to tell her all that happened and she was really excited for me.

"Just be careful and look out for yourself and the baby especially", she said before hanging up.

I got home and my dress arrived earlier than I expected. I thought of how I'd style my hair and do my makeup and I was really nervous. I knew it was all fake but that was only between Dante and I. I had to give his family the best impression of me.

The day went by really fast and my anxiety increased as time got closer for the big surprise proposal. Wasn't really a surprise to me because I was already informed but I had to act surprised anyways.

I got ready and texted Dante to be sure everything was set up before I got to the location. It was at the beach front. Dante had paid for exclusive access to the beach that evening just for his guests alone.

I got to the location and I was directed by a trail or rose petals leading up to the very spot that was decorated with exquisitely beautiful flowers and lights and balloons and a big sign that said "WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

I walked into the large heart formed with flowers where the trail ended and I had the biggest expression of surprise on my face. Dante was standing there looking extremely hot in a button down shirt that had the top two buttons left open which highlighted his muscular chest and the sleeves folded up which highlighted his very muscular and attractive arms.

The crowd's attention was completely turned to us and everyone went silent as Dante went down on one knee with a ring box in hands.

"Sienna, from the very first day I set my eyes on you, I knew you were my angel sent from heaven. You've been a really amazing girlfriend, you're my best friend and I cannot imagine a single day without you in my life. Going further I want to wake up by your side every morning and walk through life with you all the way, I want you to be the mother of my children and I want you to make me the happiest man in the world if you say yes. Sienna Abigail Monroe, Will you marry me?"

At this point tears was already running freely down my eyes. A very dramatic act you would imagine, but no! Everything reminded me of Marcus, how he proposed to me and promised to stand with me between the heavens and the earth. "Even if our worlds collide, I would be with you always and forever", those were his exact words. Yet he successfully made my life a mess.

I was caught up in my own world and wishing I could go back in time and do everything differently.

"Psst- Sienna", Dante called out beneath his breath and I immediately remembered I was in the scene of an act.

"Yes, yes, I'll marry you Dante", I replied with tears still streaming down my eyes.

He put the ring on my finger and the crowd let out loud cheers and applause. Dante got up on his feet and immediately pulled me into a tight embrace.

"Everything will be fine, you'll be fine", he whispered in my ear and even though I was certain he was completely clueless of whatever I was going through, I knew I needed to hear those words. They were extremely calming and satisfying at that moment.

"Thank you", I whispered back into his ear.

"Now wipe your face and smile for the cameras", he said as he pulled out of the embrace.

And I immediately had to wipe my face and smile. We took a lot of pictures and there were lots of reporters present. Many tried to get a conversation with me but Dante shunned them off ordering them to let me settle down.

He took me off to introduce me to his mother and I was really stunned by how beautiful she looked, even though she was aging. No surprise why he was extremely handsome, most of his features were taken from his mom. She had shiny grey eyes as well.

"Hello beautiful", his Mom said as she gave me a hug.

"It's so good to finally meet you, my son has told me so much about you and I must say you are extremely more beautiful than he exaggerated."

I was flattered and I only said thank you with a beaming smile.

Dante's mom tucked my hand in her elbow and urged him to run along and greet his guests.

"Don't worry son, I'll be really good company to Abigail here", she assured him.

Fun fact my name wasn't even Abigail, Dante just thought his mom would be really impressed if she thought we had the same name. Yes, his mother's name was Abigail.
