Chapter 5 Betrayal In The Shadow

Luca sat down in the study room, smoke curling around him as he thought about the brief encounter he had with the lady at the club. Her vibrant energy and captivating smile lingered in his mind, a stark contrast to the darkness that surrounded his life as a mafia boss. Just then, his assistant Marco entered, his expression tense.

"Luca, we have a problem," Marco said, his voice low and urgent. "There's a snitch in the company. Someone's leaking information, and we haven't figured out who it is yet."

Luca leaned back in his chair, the smoke escaping his lips in a slow exhale. He had suspected that something was off within his organization, and now it seemed his instincts were correct. "What do we know so far?" he asked, his mind already racing with strategies.

"Not much," Marco replied. "But we need to act fast before they do any more damage. We can't let this continue."

A plan began to form in Luca's mind. "We'll set a trap. Let's feed some false information to a few trusted members and see who reacts. The snitch will reveal themselves when they act on it."

Marco nodded, admiration flickering in his eyes. "That could work. But we need to be careful. If they catch wind of it, it could backfire."

Luca took another drag from his cigarette, his expression hardening. "I know the risks. But we can't allow betrayal to fester in our ranks. Once we find the snitch, we'll deal with them decisively. Loyalty is everything in our world."

As he spoke, his thoughts briefly drifted back to Isabella. He didn't know anything about about her, but there was something about her that intrigued him. For now, though, his focus had to be on protecting his empire and rooting out the traitor before they caused irreparable damage.
