Chapter 2 The Letter

I woke up to a knock on the door,an omega came in to give me a wig and contact lenses,she said it was from the head of the kitchen.She said it would avert attention from my eyes and hair,I thanked her as I tried them on, soon the alarm rang indicating that the buyers were here.I looked at my reflection in Tracy's mirror.I had brown hair and brown eyes,I looked pale and thin I sighed as I tore my eyes away from my body and I hurried to the training grounds where the selection would take place.

I got in line with the other Omegas and a buff man with a large scar running from his eyebrows to his chin started scanning us,I lowered my eyes as he got close to me then he started picking,he picked Lucia, Rachel and two other Omegas.Tracy was standing with the other pack members when Mindy the pack's whore walked up to her and said aren't you an omega like the rest of them,what are you doing here, Mandy's high pitched voice rang out.Tracy was about to speak when the beta female ordered her to line up.Tracy begrudgingly walked up to me and stood behind me mumbling words I didn't even want to know.I held my breath as his hand stretched out and picked Tracy and said the was all.I let out a sigh of relief but my joy was cut short when Mindy walked up to me and pulled my wig off as my silver hair came rolling down,you sure you don't want this one she said as she flung my wig away.The man's eyes widened in shock but he quickly got over his shock as he shook his head and he left.

I let out a sigh of relief as I glanced at Mindy and went to pick up my wig but before I could pick it up, Mindy stepped on it as she glared at me and said you got Lucky this time but don't worry there will be more chances to make your life a living hell,she rolled her eyes and shoved me to the ground and was about to leave when I scoffed without knowing,she spun her heels so fast to check if she heard right and she grabbed a fistful of my hair,I yelped in pain as she kept on yanking on it,I couldn't take it anymore as I used my legs to trip her,her hand loosened on my hair as she fell down.I quickly stood up and dashed to my room.On getting there,the room had become so empty,I was one of the five omegas in my group that wasn't picked so they kept us in one room.I sighed as I walked over to Tracy's bed and laid on it as I wondered how the omegas would be,it was no mystery that the world was worst out and very unpredictable.The selection would take place for four more days because they needed one hundred omegas.I was about to sleep when the rest of the omegas came in.

I sat upright and glanced at them as one of them glared at me,hey that bed is mine so you need to get up,she said as she kept her things on the bed.I scoffed as I pushed her things to the ground as I laid back down.She looked pissed as she grabbed my hair and scratched my face with her claws,I immediately sprung up and started defending myself,she was obviously stronger than me but I wasn't going down without a fight.We kept struggling till the other girl finally drew us apart and said to the girl I was fighting with,Hey Bella leave the runt alone let her sleep on the bed she said as she walked out of the room.The girl whose name was Bella glared at me as she shoved me aside and picked up her things.I rolled my eyes as I walked away,on getting to the kitchen, everyone was there I immediately fixed my eyes to the floor and avoided eye contact with anyone as I got to the kitchen sink I breathed a sigh of relief but the moon goddess wasn't letting me go so easily.I felt a presence behind me as I turned around it was the beta female,I immediately submitted as she took a spoon from the dish rack as I turned back to continue the dishes,a plate fell from my hands unto the floor shattering into pieces as I was trying to comprehend what happened,I felt a slap on my face,I looked up to see the beta female fuming,I mentally smacked myself for forgetting she was here.I immediately started apologizing but she wouldn't hear of it,look here you little reject,she said she walked closer to me, I don't see why you should drop a plate on the floor when you know it costs more than your life so why don't you pay for it with your life.

She picked up a shared of the plate,I kept begging but it fell on deaf ears.She just smiled and stabbed my thigh with the shard,I closed my eyes as the pain spread throughout my body,I cold barely speak as she stabbed me again.She stood up and looked at me without batting an eyelid.I watched as my blood formed a pool around me.I tried to stand up as the pain filled my body,I tried standing up but I felt really dizzy before I knew it I passed out.I woke up to a bucket of ice cold waster on my head,I woke up to see some pack members gathered as she glared at me in anger.I lowered my eyes a everyone started yelling at me.Was I the only omega around,it seemed like they hated me more for no good reason as they kept shouting,I turned around and started cleaning the floor and tried tune them out,Mindy decided to add fuel to fire,"hey runt the whole pack is talking to you and you are ignoring us".I wanted to scream and say you guys were talking you were screaming but I knew better so I held my tongue.

I apologized profusely as they eventually left, honestly I don't know how a pack so powerful can be so stupid.As I cleaned up,I stared at an empty space questioning my entire life,I had never felt loved,am not asking for it but I have questions to ask the moon goddess because I see no reason why you would create someone just to make them suffer.I sighed as I went back to my room,as I walked in,I saw a black envelope on my bed,I looked around to see no one.I picked up the letter to see that it was addressed to me,I felt my heart thumping in my chest because I had never received a letter because I don't even know my origin. I ripped open the envelope and a letter feel out,and it read;

Soon,Soon,be patient and get ready

I was at a loss for words and I couldn't comprehend anything about the letter.I stood confused as the door opened and I quickly tucked the letter into my shirt,an omega walked in, "Melissa the head of the kitchen wants to see you"She said as she turned and left.

I met with Regina the head of the kitchen and she gave me food and water as soon as I finished eating,I turned to her and asked "why do you help me even when everyone is against me"?,she just smiled and replied,"Because it's right to do so",I smiled at her and went back to my room as I undressed, possibilities of what the letter could mean danced around in my brain,what did they mean by soon and who was "A".No matter how hard I thought my head was blank.I decided to push off the thoughts because tomorrow was the second day for the selection of omegas. Somehow Mindy convinced the Alpha to let me join the selection process again and I really wasn't looking forward to it.
