Chapter 4 THE SECRET REVEALED

Lexi's mind was racing as she tried to figure out what Ethan was talking about. What secret could he possibly know?

Ethan leaned back in his chair, a self-satisfied smile spreading across his face. "You're a very curious person, Lexi," he said. "I think you'll find this interesting."

He pressed a button on his desk, and a screen on the wall behind him flickered to life. Lexi's eyes widened as she saw a video of herself, taken in a place she didn't recognize.

The video showed her talking to a man, a man she didn't know. They were discussing something in hushed tones, and Lexi's eyes were wide with fear.

Ethan chuckled. "You don't remember this, do you?" he asked.

Lexi shook her head, feeling a sense of panic rising up inside her. What was going on?

"This was taken a few weeks ago," Ethan explained. "You were meeting with a man named Marcus. He's a journalist, and he's been investigating my business dealings."

Lexi's eyes widened as she realized what was happening. Ethan thought she was working with Marcus to bring him down.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she said, trying to sound convincing.

Ethan laughed. "Don't lie to me, Lexi," he said. "I have proof. And I'm willing to use it against you unless you do what I say."

Lexi felt a chill run down her spine. She was trapped, and she didn't know how to escape.
