Chapter 5 5

"I..." Christopher began to speak, wanting to confess.

"Chris, wait a moment, I need to check a message first."

The familiar vibration of Alessia's phone came again. Her gaze turned cold, she patted Christopher's head comfortingly, and walked to the side.

Christopher watched Alessia lower her head to check her phone, drooping his own head. Finally, his hand reached for his mask, but he let it fall back down!

Alright!

He failed again!

Forgive him, he didn't have the courage at the moment, facing the disappointed look of his neighbor aunt.

Christopher left quietly and hid behind a distant tree.

Alessia opened her phone, and a familiar anonymous email came into view.

[Miss La Rosa, you've seen the photos, right? Don't try to find me, you won't be able to.]

Alessia pursed her lips and replied to the email: [Who are you? What do you want?]

A reply came quickly: [You'll find out later. Today's game ends here. Wait for my contact.]

Alessia tapped her finger lightly on the screen and sent another email asking: [When will you contact me?]

But there was no reply this time.

Alessia didn't contact M this time. She traced and locked the address by herself, but the result was that the IP was destroyed.

Her gaze sank. It seemed that M wasn't lying. The person behind this was indeed difficult to deal with.

She must be more careful in the future.

Alessia secretly decided and turned back to find Christopher, only to find that he was gone.

Since it was just outside her own door, there shouldn't be any danger. He must have gone home while she was on the phone.

Alessia rubbed her forehead and went straight upstairs to Eleanor's room.

By the moonlight shining in from outside the window, she saw her two little babies lying side by side on the bed, their little heads close together.

She couldn't help but smile. These little guys seemed really tired, they fell asleep in no time.

Closing the door, she turned and went back to her own room.

The light poured out from the room, and Christopher waited until the upstairs room lit up before slowly walking out from behind the big tree.

He stubbornly looked in the direction of his own home before drooping his head and turning to continue walking outside the neighborhood.

He didn't want to go back to that cold and icy home.

Christopher walked out of the neighborhood and just reached the entrance when he bumped into Dominic who had come to find him.

Dominic's steps were a little disordered, but his gaze remained unchanged, emitting a coldness that made people dare not look directly.

He asked coldly, "Where are you going?"

Christopher lowered his head, his small body retreating a step, hesitated for a moment, then lifted his head, his eyes as stubborn as obsidian.

Seeing his son's resistant appearance, Dominic's originally hardened heart seemed to be lightly touched by a feather.

Other children at this age were lively and cute, but Christopher was quieter than any other child.

He had been examined before and was diagnosed with mild autism, which was why he had been searching for Riley Sinclair.

Christopher was different from other children. He needed more patience.

Thinking of this, Dominic's mood fluctuated greatly.

He sighed and temporarily put aside his dislike for Alessia, squatting down to meet Christopher's gaze.

His tone softened, "Chris, I can't promise you to find your mommy because I don't know where she is either. But you can make another request, and I will try to fulfill it as much as possible!"

Christopher's small face was stunned, his hands twisting his clothes uneasily, feeling a bit at a loss.

His father's sudden show of weakness caught him off guard.

Actually, after interacting with the neighbor aunt, he didn't miss Mommy as much anymore.

But, if he could make another request...

Christopher suddenly remembered what the neighbor aunt had said about the amusement park just now. His dark eyes brightened, and he tentatively spoke with a serious expression, "Dad, tomorrow... I want to go to the amusement park!"

Dominic squinted disdainfully. The amusement park was crowded and noisy, childish and boring. He wanted to refuse, but when he met his son's hopeful eyes, he finally nodded reluctantly.

Christopher felt happy in his heart, taking the initiative to approach and grabbing Dominic's clothes corner carefully.

Dominic's heart trembled, completely softening, but at the same time, he felt puzzled.

Christopher had always been calm and quiet, why did he suddenly want to go to such a noisy place as the amusement park?

Had he really grown up and started having ideas?

Or, was he influenced by someone else?

...

The next day, early in the morning.

Christopher had just woken up, and he immediately thought of Eleanor across the way.

He couldn't resist the inner longing, so he walked to the back of the curtains, secretly opened a small gap, and looked outside.

In the opposite room, Eleanor had just gotten out of bed.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes, yawned widely, and as soon as she stretched lazily, she noticed a small figure in the opposite room hiding behind the curtain, with only a pair of big eyes peeking out, looking at her.

Huh?

It's the shy little brother from across the street!

Eleanor blinked her bright eyes and waved her hand obediently to Christopher.

"Wake up, sleepyhead, the sun is about to shine on your little butt!" At this moment, there was a sound behind her, and the door was pushed open, and in came Christian, who had just finished washing up.

"Chris, look, there's a little boy across the street!" Eleanor, seeing Christian come in, exclaimed as if she had found a treasure, her eyes shining brightly.

Christian followed Eleanor's finger and looked over, only to find that there was no one there at all.

Christian put his hands behind his back, elongating his tone like a little adult teasing Eleanor, "Eleanor, lying makes your nose grow longer, you know?!"

"I'm not lying, it must be the shy little brother from across the street hiding again." Eleanor blinked her eyes and explained seriously.

Christian walked to the window upon hearing this, stood up straight with his little body, and tiptoed to look across the street.

"Chris, it's true! Mom found him last night, and he hid again!" Eleanor also came to the window, trying to convince Christian, and brought Alessia into the conversation.

Christian looked at the obedient and sensible Eleanor, his lively eyes turning.

His sister was so soft and cute, would she end up like the little red riding hood in the TV drama, targetted by the big bad wolf when she grew up?

Moreover, how could a boy peep at a little girl?

Humph!

So rude!

The more Christian thought about it, the angrier he became. With a 'whoosh,' he angrily pulled the curtains shut!

Turning back, he earnestly admonished Eleanor, "Eleanor, you're not allowed to open the curtains anymore!"

Just as he finished speaking, he felt that his decision was too hasty and regretted it, saying, "But this won't do either. If we don't open the curtains, sunlight won't come in, and it will affect our health. Eleanor, how about we switch rooms?"

"Um... Chris, can we not switch?" Eleanor's little face was full of reluctance, her big eyes filled with reluctance, pointing to the cartoon decorations on the wall pitifully, "I like Snow White, I like the Little Mermaid... I don't like Spider-Man!"

Christian looked around the room, decorated all in pink, and saw Eleanor, with her cute little steps, hesitatingly turning around in place.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he had another idea.

He couldn't let his sister be sad, so he could only have a showdown with the boy across the street.

Hmm... That's it!

Christian acted decisively.
