Chapter 5 It feels satisfying

Dominic wanted to say more, but when he met with Maxim's icy gaze, he found himself unable to utter a single word.

It was well known that Maxim was a man of his word.

Once he made a decision, no one could change it!

He had recognized Tatiana right away, but by then, she was already dead. So, he had meticulously groomed Anna to take her place!

But who could have predicted that Tatiana would suddenly return, and even be recognized by Maxim?

Tatiana raised an eyebrow, surprised to find out that the person Maxim was set to marry was actually her. Under his intense gaze, her cheeks flushed slightly.

"Maxim, today is our engagement party. You wouldn't want to abandon me, would you?"

Anna asked cautiously, realizing the gravity of the situation.

Although it was Anna's first meeting with Maxim today, she had already fallen head over heels for him.

"Now that the truth is out, let's call off the engagement," he said lightly.With that, Maxim turned to leave, but paused as he walked past them and stopped in front of Tatiana.

"Come with me."

It wasn't until Maxim and Tatiana's figures vanished from sight that Anna finally snapped out of her shock.

Ignoring her image, she cried out, desperately shouting as the bodyguards held her back.

"Maxim! Come back! You... you can't just leave

me like this..."

Dominic and Camile were completely stunned, slumping down onto the floor in defeat.

It was over!

This time, it was truly over!

On the top floor of the hotel, in the presidential suite.

Maxim lifted Tatiana's chin with his hand, narrowing his eyes as he spoke with a hint of intrigue, "Today, you ruined my engagement party."

Tatiana remained silent. She had only intended to come back for revenge, but she never expected to destroy his engagement party in the process.

Suddenly, a handsome face loomed closer, and the pleasant scent of the man's cologne unexpectedly filled her nostrils, causing her breath to hitch for a moment. She couldn't help bet stare at him.

It had been two years since she last saw Tatiana, and his looks has really intensified, making him even more captivating. His aura was stronger now, and even she could feel an invisible pressure radiating from him.

Before she could gather her thoughts, a warm breath brushed against her ear.

"Aren't you supposed to make it up to me?"

His voice was magnetic, exuding a unique charm.

"What kind of compensation do you want? Name your price!"

Tatiana felt a bit more alert now. She took a couple of steps back, maintaining a safe distance from the man, her expression cold and her tone even colder.

"Name my price?"

Maxim raised an eyebrow in response, his deep, narrow black eyes sparkling with amusement, as if he had just heard the funniest joke: "You think I care about that little money?"

He closed the distance between them,stepping closer to Tatiana, and gently brushed his long, bony fingers against her delicate cheek, his meaning clear: "You know what kind of compensation I want."

Feeling the warmth of Maxim's fingertips, Tatian shivered immediately.

Her originally pale cheeks suddenly flushed a bright red.

Damn it! How dare he tease her!

In a fit of anger, Tatiana flipped her palm, and a silver needle appeared out of nowhere!

Aiming for the inner thigh of Maxim, she swiftly pierced it in one smooth motion.

Maxim barely had time to react; he felt as if all his strength had been drained away. Damn!

He muttered a curse under his breath, quickly grabbing Maxim by the neck, his narrow eyes glinting with dangerous coldness: "Are you looking for trouble?"

Tatiana showed no signs of fear.

With a faint smile, she parted her lips and began counting, "One, two..."

"Three."

The silver needle contained a potent drug that could render a person completely powerless in an instant!

Tatiana was confident in its effects.As she reached three, Maxim released her grip and "thudded" to the floor, kneeling helplessly.

In a swift motion, Tatiana pulled a scalpel from the small of her back, looking down at him with an air of authority. "If there's a next time, be careful-I might just cut off your manhood!"

Maxim furrowed his brow, staring at her, but words failed him.

She leaned Maxim's head back against the sofa and, with a light step, made her way to the door, casually leaving behind, "Don't worry, the anesthetic will wear off in two hours."

After few minutes, Adrian comes in "Sir, are you okay? Should I call the doctor?".

Gold Family.

The entire villa was shrouded in a stifling atmosphere.

Dominic's face was ashen, while Camille dared not breathe beside him.

Only Anna was inconsolable, crying endlessly.

"I was about to become the young mistress of the Konstantine family!

How could Tatiana just come back out of nowhere?!"

"It's over! It's completely over! Maxim knows we deceived him, and he won't let us off the hook.

What are we going to do?"

"Dad, Mom, you have to help me figure something out!"

"..."

Dominic's already troubled mood worsened.

Figure something out?

Maxim publicly called off the engagement; what could he possibly do now?

Besides, Malcom had already been taken in. Who knows if he would spill the beans on them?

Something needs to be done about this immediately.

Dominic immediately focusing on Camille and Anna, "When Tatiana comes back, you must treat her very well. No mishap must happen. Maybe through her we will be able to avert whatever Maxim is planning to do to us".

Anna immediately standing up "No dad. She's a nobody. We can be treating her like a special member. What if she uses that as an advantage against us? I don't trust her at all".

Camille immediately siding her daughter "Yes, Dominic. We can't take that risk you know that. I don't know but Tatiana seems different than before".

Dominic with a cold tone "We need to do something about fast".
