Chapter 5 Hidden Great Abilities

Rowan Mendoza. She is the feared leader of the Rogues. She had often committed rebellion everywhere. Hence, her body looked scarred and her eyes held a lot of hatred. Rowan who was sitting on a woman's back while being massaged by another woman got up and approached Jade.

"Huh! You're finally caught too, Glade. I've been waiting for you here for a long time to take revenge."

"Glade? Wait! Maybe you've got the wrong person. My name is Jade. Jade Carter. I just arrived in this town. I'm not the person you're talking about." Jade tried to explain. She held out her slightly trembling hand to ask her for an introduction. However, Rowan just brushed it off rudely.

"You think I'm stupid? You might fool anyone out there. But not me. I was suspicious from the start. If you were the one who made my attack plan fall apart. Now that we're both here. I'm sure you'll suffer more than any other prisoner." Rowan signaled the two other women behind her. They nodded. Then approached Jade to hold her hands.

"No! Let go! I'm not the one you're looking for. Let go of me! I'm innocent! Let go of me!" Jade kept trying to break free. However, the grip of the two women was very strong.

"Scream to your heart's content! Because no one will protect you anymore. Hahaha." Rowan laughed cruelly as she turned her hands into sharp wolf claws. Jade was again surprised to see her. She couldn't believe the girl's quite terrifying ability.

"Let go! Let go! Let go of me!" Jade shouted as she tried to pull her hands away. They paid no attention to Jade's whining. Instead, they smiled as Jade became more and more frightened as Rowan walked over.

Rowan slapped Jade's cheek with her claw. Leaving a scratch mark there. Not only that. Rowan also punched Jade in the stomach, grabbed her arm, and slammed Jade's body to the floor. Jade instantly winced in pain. Never in her life had she been treated so harshly.

Jade curled up while backing her body. Trying to avoid Rowan's next attack. Unfortunately, it was of little use. Rowan managed to grab her neck. Choking Jade with great force. Then lifted her up. Jade really felt tortured. Her neck felt torn, and the strangulation prevented air from entering her lungs. Jade felt short of breath. She seemed to be on the verge of death. Suddenly, someone hit Rowan's head from behind. Rowan reflexively released her grip. Jade's body slammed into the hard floor for the second time.

"Damn it! Who dares to hit me?" Rowan turned around angrily. A frightened woman immediately threw away the wooden block in her hand. Behind the woman appeared a boy who was no less frightened than her. Hiding. "You? Useless woman! Have you dared to fight me here?!" Rowan's anger was diverted to the woman. Jade who was still catching her breath again. Could only stare at them weakly. Rowan treated the woman very cruelly. Until when the woman was helpless. She turned to her son.

"Since you've ruined my fun. I will kill your son!"

"Don't! Spare him! Just kill me!" the woman shouted. However, Rowan's two female followers. again blocked the woman by holding her hands.

Rowan moved to the frightened little boy in the other corner of the cell. Her cruel smile looked like a wolf that had found its prey. On the other side, Jade felt something strange from her body. Something felt strong and large, as if it was about to burst out. It was the same as what she used to experience during her nightmares. When Rowan's claws were about to hurt the boy. Suddenly, her hand was caught by Jade.

"Don't hurt anyone again! If you don't want to regret it later," Jade threatened. Her eyes flashed yellow, her lips snarled softly like a dog, and her strength was suddenly restored. It allowed Jade to stand tall behind the cruel Rowan. Rowan swatted Jade's hand away.

"Hahaha. Did you just threaten me?" Rowan laughed mockingly while facing Jade. "You think you're better than me? You'll never be able to kill me. Because I am the most powerful woman in Vlanistone."

"I don't want to hurt anyone here. So, you'd better calm your temper and behave yourself. Don't you ever hurt people again, let alone a child like him!"

"You mean like this?" Rowan grabbed the boy's neck. Then pulled him up like Jade just now. The boy, who was only seven years old, immediately looked out of breath.

"Mommy help! Mommy, help!" the boy whimpered softly.

"Chester!" the mother shouted. She struggled to save her son. However, Rowan's two followers immediately hurt her until she was helpless. Jade didn't want to stay silent. Her telekinesis ability emerged from within her body. She pushed Rowan's body against the wall and released her grip without touching the woman. Chester fell down. Then, with the last of his strength, he ran towards his mother.

"Mom!"

Rowan got up with growing anger. However, Jade was already shielding the child and mother from Rowan's other attacks.

"Enough! Stop it! I really won't forgive you. If you commit another atrocity here!"

"No way. You're a hybrid? But whoever you are, you won't be able to match my strength! You two hold her down!" Instantly, Rowan turned into a wolf. And so did her two followers.

Jade didn't quite understand what Rowan was saying. She herself didn't know why her body suddenly had such an ability. But she was getting more and more clueless about what she had just seen. A human turning into a wolf. That usually only existed in nightmares, not in real life. Rowan's two followers restrained Jade's hands. While Rowan again attacked Jade more blindly. She kept punching, clawing and tearing at Jade without giving any time to pause. She knew Jade's telekinesis ability could attack her from a distance. With just one hand movement. That's why she wouldn't give Jade any time to do that. Only after Jade looked very weak. Rowan threw her away like useless trash.

"Hahaha. Look at you now! You're no different from that cowardly woman. Hahaha!" Rowan laughed mockingly with her two followers. Without her realizing it. A great power was gathering inside Jade's body.

"Aaarghh!" Jade shouted loudly, which made the basement tremble. Both of her hands appeared to be electrified. Rowan and her two followers were instantly confused. However, they did not have time to realize what was happening.

Jade stood up and floated in the air while extending both her hands towards Rowan and her followers. Her eyes were now completely purple and her fingers were moving at regular intervals. It was as if she was reciting an incantation. The bodies of Rowan and her two followers instantly felt wrapped around by a large, invisible snake. They tried to break free. However, it was all in vain.

Jade catapulted the three of them until they hit the roof of the uneven ground. Then Jade slammed them to the floor very hard. Jade also slammed their bodies against the walls without mercy. Jade did all of that without touching the bodies of her enemies. There was only electricity coming out of her hands and wrapped around the bodies of Rowan and her two followers. Their bodies were instantly covered in bruises and lacerations. Those who were already helpless could only surrender.

Jade united them before her. Then, as her hands squeezed the air. Rowan and his two followers let out a loud screech of extreme pain. Jade who was already overpowered by the great power stored in her body. Threw all her strength in all directions. The weak bodies of Rowan and her two followers slammed into the iron bars until they split through the gap. Meanwhile, Shannon and Chester who were near Jade were also blown away and hit the wall. Blood was everywhere. Including out of the bodies of the child and mother.

Jade's energy seemed to be drained after unleashing the great power earlier. While catching her breath again. Jade was stunned to see the condition of the two innocent humans. They were already lying on the ground with severe injuries. Jade staggered towards the two of them. Her heart really broke seeing Chester's condition right now. She felt very guilty. Moreover, his mother had tried to save Jade earlier.

Jade hugged Chester's body while sobbing. She really didn't expect to have committed this crime against a good person like the two of them. Jade's sincere heart awakened another ability stored in her body. A light emanated from her embrace. The radiance was so strong that it dazzled the guards who were inspecting the dungeon after hearing the tremendous commotion there.

"Hey! What's going on here?" the guards asked. They were shocked at the current state of the dungeon. They were even more astonished when they saw the greatness of the light.

"Mom," Chester murmured in Jade's arms. Jade immediately let go of his embrace.

"You're cured," Jade murmured. Chester nodded steadily. Then Jade hugged him even tighter.
