Chapter 3 First day at her office

My alarm got me awake at 6:30 am with its annoyingly high pitched ring. I looked at my watch on the bedside table. God, I never get up so early. In fact, when me and my buddies have a good night with some senoritas, I fall asleep around this hour. Now, for two fucking months, this will be my life. Thanks Dad!

I got up , jumped into the shower and had some breakfast with my towel wrapped around my waist. I won't lie, I felt like shit. In this shitty apartman that I rented cause I gotta lay low for a while thanks to my fathers wonderful idea of involving me in his bullshit. "You have to do it for our family and for your own good. I won't live forever..." Bla bla bla. His words ringing in my ear as I chew on my toast.

I drank my coffee lost in my thoughts when it hit me. Shit! I'll be late!!! This feeling was still new to me...I have to be somewhere, responsabilities and shit. Not that I cared if I was fired the first day but I had no interest in listening to my dad's yelling about how ungrateful and useless I am. No, I came here with the sole purpose of working at Anderson's Architecture's for two months. Get what I needed, bring it to my dad and tell him to shove it up in his ass then go back to LA and never turn back.

I got dressed quickly then grabbed my car keys and took off. I arrived at the office the same time as Lydia. I ran into her in front of the building . I saw her waving at me but I pretended I didn't see. She rushed to my side anyway and started running her mouth like I gave a single fuck about her words.

"Hey handsome, I was waving at you didn't see?! Anyway I forgive you this time since you're new! Are you excited? Hmm.. I bet you're scared to work for the Ice Queen" she laughed too much and too loud about this trying to get my attention. I didn't respond just continued walking. This bitch just doesn't get the hints. She continued

" Did you know they call her that? Cause she's so cold and demanding all the time. No wonder no man wants her. What can a frigid bitch like her do in bed"

I smiled at this inwardly but didn't want to engage in this meaningless gossiping with her. She was annoying anyway. Guess I'll be stuck with her for a while as we will be working together uhhh fuck me...

"What time does she arrive to the office? What's the deal here? Does she have meetings in the mornings? What do I have to know?" I asked trying to sound formal and get the conversation in a buisness manner as we reached the top floor.

" Huh eager to work I see...." a playful and flirty smile escaped her lips " well , office hours at Anderson's starts at 9 but she always arrives around 8 . She's a frickin robot, better get used to it. She is the last one to leave the office as well. Like she doesn't have a life outside of this... Oh she's crazy about her coffee you better learn how to make one cause she's a bitch about it. Yeah she is demanding and basically an asshole. She hosts two meetings with the shareholders every week , one on Tuesday and a follow up meeting on Friday morning, the board meeting is on Thursdays. Every other work here is kinda adhoc she calls and demands and you do as she says. That summs it up" .

As she finished we heard an elevator arrive with a 'ding' and both turned towards it. It was only 7:56 am but there she was. The Ice Queen, Elizabeth Anderson. Wearing a grey pantsuit with high heels. Her straight brown hair flowing down on her shoulders and her back as she stepped out of the elevator and started to walk towards her office with confident steps. Her lips were pressed in a straight line like she was already pissed about something. Everyone stayed silent but as she was walking past them they welcomed her with a polite and kind 'Good Morning'. She answered curtly without sparing a glance at them. Like I could know, she was wearing shades. She approached us and removed her shades

"Robert you're here, good, follow us to my office, Lydia please bring us coffee" and with that she proceeded to walk. Just then I realized she wasn't alone, the bald guy from yesterday in suits followed her but I didn't even see him at first thanks to her icy aura. Without a word I followed them. She sat down at her desk and got out her laptop while the bald guy was talking to her.

"You've got quite a busy day today Madame. At 9 you'll have the shareholder's meeting, at 11 a video conference with the London branch. 12:30 is when Mr Holt will arrive and at 13:00 you need to sit down with the Finance department, that got delayed yesterday because of the interviews" he looked at me with a nod then continued " around 2 pm the Marketing team would like to have a short meeting and Dr Adams is also keep calling you about your appointm......"

"No I'm not sitting down with the marketing guys it's never a short meeting and they just want their budget to be expanded...I have more important things to do today"

Just then Lydia arrived with her seductive steps with 3 coffees and put them down on the table making sure her ass was facing me. I looked away but she said

"enjoy your coffee" as she was saying ' enjoy me instead' .

Elizabeth cut in with a stern "Thank you, Lydia" so she walked out. The bald guy cleared his throat in embarrasement

" Madame, about Dr Adams....."

" Leo, I'm busy , you said it yourself, now drink your coffee" we stayed silent. She started to type on her laptop while moving the cup towards her mouth. As she tasted it a frown became visible on her

" God , this girl is useless". She murmured

I tasted my own, it was indeed terrible. Cold an sour at the same time, impressive Lydia, I cuckled inwardly. Elizabeth typed for a few minutes then looked at me

"Follow me"

and I did. We went out of her office and she opened a door next to hers. We stepped in. It was a smaller room with limited decorations , a desk, a chair, printer and all the essentials that one can need in an office - I assumed - with a laptop already waiting for it's user. I looked around lost in thought when she said

" This will be your office. Did Lydia fill you in?"

Well, you can say, she told me how a demanding of a bitch you are - I thought but remained silent. She rolled her eyes and said

" Of course not. Leo, please" and with a nod she went back to her office.
