Chapter 4 He Found Abigail Secret Diary

Nathan's POV

Aiden burst out with laughter. A stupid annoying laughter that makes me want to strangle him after I'd revealed that 'Abigail Holden' and 'Number four's daughter' were one and the same.

"Stop laughing, Aiden. It's not funny" I say with gritted teeth.

"I have to admit, it is kind of funny though" Gajeel says, stiffling his laughter.

"Haha" I mock. "It's so funny tears roll out of my eyes"

Downing another shot of booze, my head becomes clear headed as a thought comes to me. "That's it!" I exclaim with a smirk on my face.

"Uh-oh. I don't like that smirk" Gray says. "What are you thinking, Heartfilia?."

"If the school should find out that 'unattractive nerd' and I are living under the same roof, that is the end of my reputation" I state clearly for Gray's bird brain to understand. "That's why I'm going to force Abigail out of my house"

Aiden stop laughing to catch his breath. "Why don't you force Number four out?"

"Because Number four and I DON'T go to the same school"

Glancing down at my wrist watch, I check the time. It was just 30 minutes past 2. The school guards wouldn't leave their post until late in the evening.

"Gajeel, hope you brought enough booze because we are camping out here until dark" I state.

"Now now, Nathan. Tell me what exactly you are planning in your messed up head" Aiden speaks up.

"In order to force Abigail out of my house, I need something to use against her." I fill in "And what better than to search through her school properties?"

"Then why do the rest of us have to wait here till dark with you?"

"Because, Aiden. You know much about Abigail than I do and plus the search would ne faster if we all do it. Capice?"

"Capice" The trio chorused.

"That's enough about me though" I say changing the subject. "Aiden, what's up with you?"

"Me?" Aiden repeats, startled that I'd called his name. "What did I do?"

"You came to the smoke area first so something definitely was bothering you" Gray clarifies.

Aiden heaves a heavy sigh as he pulls out another cigarette. "I'd almost forgotten all about it till you guys brought it up again"

Before Aiden could lit up the cigarette, I pull it out of his hands; tossing it away to wherever. "Tell us about your problem. There is so much smoking can do but it won't fix your shit.

"Look at me for example. I'd spoken about my problem and now I'd found a good way to fuck Abigail up, thanks to you guys"

Gajeel laughs. "That's not a really good scenario man"

"Even still, my point's been made"

"Alright, Alright. Shut it okay, I'll tell you about my shit" Aiden surrenders. "So you guys remember the reason why I'd always wanted to join sports competition and be on TV?"

"Yeah. To find your mother" Gray replies.

"Well guess what?" Aiden lets out a bittersweet smile. "I found her few days ago"

Oh hell no. The Aiden I know was supposed to be overjoyed while telling us this but for him to sound this way, it only meant one thing; things didn't go as he'd planned.

Fuck!. Fuck!. Fuck!!. Fuck adults and their bullshit!. Why did they always go through so much length to hurt us?. Why!?.

Pulling Aiden into my arms, I hug him ever so tightly. "Say no more, Aiden. And just cry"

Aiden pushs me away from me. His eyes teary. I could tell he wanted to cry but was holding back. "The fuck, Nathan. Men don't cry and don't ever say that again"

"Oh yeah?" I push Aiden, hard. "Then let it all out"

"Hey, Nathan. Stop it" Gajeel warns but I don't listen. I wasn't going to stop until Aiden vents it all out. And he does.

Aiden push me back with an equal amount of strength. "8 years!. I've spent 8 fucking years of my life on TV going on numerous sport competitions!.

"Do you know what she said?" Aiden tears were flowing now. "She knew I was her son but never bothered to reach out to me because I'm a junkie.

"Was it my fault I turned out so messed up, huh!?" Aiden yells, crashing to the ground as I crunch down to my knees beside him; embracing him.

If only what his mother knew what Aiden had passed through. To even find a way to smile after being sexually molested by his father when he was young!.

Aiden's mother didn't deserve him. Not even one bit.

"Gray, Gajeel and I are your family, Aiden" I say softly. "You might feel like you need your mother's approval before you can been dimed as a worthy person but you are more than enough to us"

Gajeel appears by Aiden's side. "Yeah, man. And don't you try demean all those 8years of your hardwork. You made a name for yourself. You're a freaking gold medalist. Always remember that"

"And aside from us, three" Gray adds. "Don't forget your fan base too. You've achieved so much more than most 18 years old and that says alot"

"You aren't just some junkie, as your mother put it" I state. "You're Aiden Galtez, a fucking champion and our best buddy"

"You guys.." Aiden says, overwhelmed as his voice begins to quiver. "I'm so lucky to have you guys"

We do a group hug and sip on some more booze as time slowly slips away. At last it was dark and the security men had left their post.

"Guys" I say, all fired up. "It's time"

The four of us make our way into the school building through the classroom window on the ground floor.

"Aiden, do you know where her class is?" I asked as Aiden nods his head.

Following Aiden's lead, we reach Abigail's classroom and begin our search; ransacking through her desk but didn't find anything.

"I awfully believe this is a waste of time, Aiden" Gray says.

"Keep looking" I fired back. "Aiden, do you know where her locker in the hallway is?"

Aiden nods his head. It was at the tip of my tongue to ask Aiden how he knew all these information about Abigail but as long as it was helping me, I decided not to budge.

Once we'd gotten to her locker in the hallway, it was padlocked as expected but I'd come prepared.

Pulling out a safety pin, I insert it into the lock hole; twisting and turning until it finally unlocked.

"Good job" Aiden teased.

Searching through her locker, I find nothing just books and more books and a pink journal and--

I freeze. A pink journal?. Pulling out the journal, I expected it to be locked but it wasn't. I guess Abigail didn't have anything to hide.

"A little peek won't hurt, right?" I ask Aiden.

Aiden shrugs. "I bet it's just science stuffs"

"Right?" Reading through the first page of the journal, I tried not to let my reaction show lest Aiden becomes curious to read ot as well.

Science stuffs??. These weren't science stuffs. And dear god, why didn't she lock a journal like this?.

One that contains her sexual fantasies...about me!.
