Chapter 1 Wild Night

" Are you sure about this Anna?" My best friend asked as she watched me apply lipstick. It was settled, I would be going clubbing. Obviously, my boyfriend of two years just broke up with me because he thought I was uptight.

He didn't think I was uptight all those years then suddenly he goes on and breaks up with me because he suddenly thinks I'm uptight. Tears gathered in my eyes but I pushed them back. He wasn't worth my tears and I couldn't ruin my makeup.

" I'm okay Bella, you don't have to worry about me," I told her as I combed my fingers through my hair to give it a messy look and it looked perfect and sexy. She was just worried about me because she knew the type of girl I was, I didn't do well with so much crowd or alcohol, but it was time I loosened up, maybe it was true and I was indeed uptight.

" It's just that you're letting Derick get to you, I feel like you're doing this because of him." She said and although that might sound true it isn't, I am doing this totally on my own, I didn't give a shit about him, he was out of my life forever, which was a good thing.

" No Bella, I don't care about him, this is for me, I want to know what it feels like to be wild and crazy. You know you can come with me if you want?" I offered since she was so worried about me.

" That's the thing,...She said with a groan..." I want to but I have a shift at the hospital tonight." Yeah she was a nurse, she had to be at the hospital which meant I would be on my own all night, well I could mingle if I wanted.

" Don't do anything reckless." She said as she walked towards me hugging me before she released me with a smile on her face.

" Yes, Mummy." I teased as I took my bag and ran out of the room.

" See ya tomorrow." She yelled so I could hear her.

" Bye. Bye."

My Uber was already waiting outside for me so I got in and he drove off, I didn't bother driving because I planned on getting drunk tonight. I didn't want to get into an accident. I picked the wildest club, The Red Bull club, I didn't know why I chose it but I felt like that was where I needed to be tonight.

There was a long line of people and I didn't want to stand there, most of them were teenagers who looked like they just turned eighteen and couldn't wait to get a taste of club life.

I drew the top of my dress down a little exposing more cleavage than was already exposed as I put on a sultry smile on my face and walked straight to where the bouncer was standing, when I got there I didn't even say a word I just walked straight into the club and they didn't stop me. The power of a woman.

The whole place was so loud and for a moment I almost aborted the plan but I remembered that the night was all about getting wild.

I passed through people dancing, some were already drunk when the night just started. I was headed towards the bar when someone took my hand, I turned to see a man that looked like he could barely stand on his own feet.

" Let's dance pretty lady." He said as he drew me to himself and I practically fell on his chest and I was slapped with the smell of alcohol. I couldn't help but cringe.

" Not today handsome," I said as I pushed myself off him, and before he could bring his hand for me again I was off.

" Give me your strongest drink," I said as I took a seat on one of the barstools, the bartender was looking at me with a raised brow and I just shrugged. There was nothing wrong if I wanted one of his strongest drinks.

I had just taken my first shot and surprisingly I wasn't affected like I thought I would be, although it wasn't a pleasant experience drinking that thing, I didn't know how people survived drinking it every time. gosh, it was horrible, but once again, tonight was all about getting wild.

I turned to the people dancing on the dance floor and couldn't help but think back to my ex, was this what he wanted? Going out at night like this? We went on dates, we went to the park, we went on picnics then what else did he want from me? Why did he think I was so uptight? I felt like that was just his excuse to break up with me, there was nothing wrong with me.

Then why was I out here tonight trying to prove him wrong? No, I wasn't doing this for anyone, I was doing all these for myself.

" Anna?" I froze. You know that thing they say, speak of the devil and he will appear. Well, it's true because tell me why the fuck was Derick here of all places and all days?

I put on the most fake smile I could and turned to him.

" Hey, Derick." I greeted him, and if he wasn't a fool he would have known that he was the last person I wanted to be involved in a conversation with but no, he kept talking.

" What are you doing here?"

" I should be asking you that." As much as I wanted to ask him if this was what he wanted me to do but I was uptight, I refrained myself.

" Came here for a drink or two with the guys, you?" A drink or two my foot, they were going to get wasted, and what was his business with what I do?

" I don't see why my being here concerns you, you should go back to drinking with your friends, I wouldn't want my boyfriend meeting you here." Where the hell did that come from? Boyfriend who? Where? But what he didn't know wouldn't kill him.

"Boyfriend?" The way he spat the words made me want to laugh.

" Yeah, he went to use the restroom, should be back any minute."

" Are you serious? We just broke up and you already have a new one." I looked at him, like really look at him, I didn't have a boyfriend, it was all an act, but the fact that he expects me to be sulking over our breakup is just so unbelievable.

" Did you expect me to mourn or something? Lock myself inside my room like I was told I had two days to live? You're a joke. Oh, he's here." Just then I spotted a handsome man walking towards the bar so I quickly jumped down from the stool and walked to him.

" Hey babe, took you so long I was beginning to worry," the man's face had a confused expression.

" Please play along, please, save me," I said in such a way that only he could still hear me over the loud music and immediately his face relaxed, understanding what I wanted.

"Sorry babe, I had to go pick up my phone from the car, I left it there." He said as he planted a kiss on my forehead. I knew Derick was still watching us, so I wanted to give him a show. I drew the man's head down and planted a kiss on his lips.

What started as a joke turned into something else. I totally forgot I was doing all this to show my Ex I had gotten over him because this stranger's lips didn't feel strange at all. They felt like they were meant to be on mine.

When we broke the kiss, I turned to look at where Derick was standing and he wasn't there any longer. Now I couldn't face this guy I just kissed.

" Do you kiss everyone you meet like that?" He asked and I could hear the teasing in his voice.

That was when I really looked into his eyes. I got lost, they were so beautiful, that I could stare at them forever.

" I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," was I even sorry? No

" By the way, I'm Cole."

" Anna."
