You had every reason to save yourself from hitting that tree, if you can not drive then hire somebody so that they could drive you.

I heard a voice scolding me,

My heart was beating so fast, I looked at myself my hands, my face and every part of me making sure it wasn't a dream but it was a reality and that I was alright

I sighed with relief knowing I was alright, oh thank you, lord!

I stepped out of the car when I heard the man yelling from outside that I had to get out of the car, "Immediately my adrenaline took its place !" I took off the seat belt and ran out.

What were you thinking !!! You could have died just there, he spat !! I gulped and looked at the man who saved me,

" holy shit !!"

Is God playing pranks on me!? I mean does this kind of human exist, I felt myself drooling looking at him. Man !! He is a piece of art ,

Are you even hearing what I am saying to you !!! He yelled bringing me back from my trance.

I .. I am sorry sir! Thank you so much for saving my life, thank you I tell him genuinely after being caught staring.

I was embarrassed this time, I couldn't meet his cold teal eyes, he was wearing a business seat and I could see that his car was also damaged which was beside my car.

Oh my god !! Sir! I am so sorry !! I cried out and widen my eyes looking at the state of his car, it was damaged on the front all because he was trying to save my stupid ass.

He sighed and ran his finger through his hair, it was nothing!! I am glad I managed to save a soul and the car is nothing to me than someone's life.

He is like a guardian angel sent from heaven, I swear If it wouldn't have been for him then I am sure I would have been rushed to the hospital at this moment.

Thank you, I tell him truthfully, " I couldn't stop myslef from talking , I couldn't feel my brakes, I felt my car losing control on its own and I couldn't even try to apply any break-- "

No need to explain yourself, accidents happen, I have already dialed the police they are going to be here in any seconds now, he says to me making me gulp !!"

I could feel tears glistening in my eyes, " I.. I.. am sorry sir !! Pleased don't let them take me to jail!! I swear it wasn't my fault, I am going to make sure I pay for your car expenses!! "

Oh my god !! You are so annoying, " did I tell you that the police are going to be here just because they have to arrest you ?" He asked with irritation,

We have to file for a case, he explained and I swear I looked so embarrassed, people indeed were around us talking and whispering to themselves.

We waited for a few minutes, and soon came the police officers, my whole face turned pale only looking at them, I found myself trembling with fear.

The police officers did what they had to do, observing the cars and soon they came to the both of us , I couldn't even explain myself but like an angel sent from heaven the mysterious man pulled the officers to him and soon they started talking,

" I closed my eyes with relief!!" I could hear faint talks like, yes she is !! We just fought, and I think she didn't do that purposely, she just told me that she lost control of her brakes,"

What is he talking about? The officer came to me and I told him my name like how he wanted, and I was so surprised when he left me be.

Now, sweetheart, you are going with me to the police station, " wh ..what? No .. no I can't !! Yo .. you are a lair !! I beamed looking at him. " You promised!! I whispered.

Stop with your nonsense young woman and let's go to tell the police station, and in there, you are going to say I am your husband. " We are a couple "

My jaw dropped !!

I looked at him like he had grown two heads, N ..no !! I don't even know your name, I just met you, I whispered avoiding the officers who were looking at us.

" behave !! Or else we will both get into trouble. " he threatened

The name's Marcus! What's yours beautiful? He asked with a seductive smile that would make any girl drool into it, but I was far from falling into his trap.

It's ... it's Amelia! I tell him.

A beautiful name to a beautiful lady, he commented and came beside me and soon we were escorted to the police car,

What did you tell the officer? Why didn't they interrogate me, they will do that after we have reached the station,

That will be simple and they will even close this stupid case you started earlier !! He nudged and I rolled my eyes,

It wasn't my fault, I pouted! He turned my face and looked at me with disbelief, so now it's my fault? He asked and laughed with that face that said, "You better be kidding me !!"

I ... I .. well I don't mean that way !!

Stop it you two !! We heard the police officer yelling on the front.

Your personal problems shouldn't be spoken into the car, I became silent all of a sudden.

We got out of the car after we reached the station, we were escorted to the police station, my hands were sweating!

Am I going to lie? I mean am I going to lie to the law now? What are they going to do to me when they know--

Before my thoughts finished what they wanted to tell me, I felt his hands on mine! A shiver ran through me, his touch! I swallowed and looked at him.

He felt that too, the wave of attraction !! We both moved back a little and thought of what happened, " I looked at him and then shifted my gaze somewhere else, I could feel him looking at me too. "

Now , you two couples , stop with all the lovey-dovey starings that you guys are giving each other ! " explain yourselves!!" The woman said strictly.

I could feel my sweat passing through my forehead, I.. umm well !! I stuttered.

I had no choice but to give in to the false information that this man had narrated to me a while back.

Well, as a woman you could have avoided that,

except for running away from your husband, you could have called a marriage counselor to avoid all this.

Oh my god !! " I am not even married !!" And this woman uttering all these to me.

She interrogated that man, Marcus and soon I heard her say, "You shouldn't be too hard on your wife !" She loves you, you need to understand each other !!" Or you will end up regretting the decision you made in the first place of being married to each other.

I could feel my head getting dizzy, is she a marriage Councillor or something!! She has no right to interfere in this false shit that we made up !! Okay, we are going to run a small investigation into the car that has lost the control of brakes,

We are done for today!! She concluded and I sighed with relief after signing some documents.

Thank god !! I mumbled,

" No, you have to thank that guy that saved you today, or your silly ass is going to get your stupid brain, me and your body in trouble next time. "

I felt like somebody run me over and poured cold water on my body, it was the same mysterious voice again !!

Oh dear, " Why now !?"
