Chapter 5 To Meet Her

Alisa and Frenska read the message sent through Angke's ring. It turned out their guess was right. It was a mission message delivered to both of them.

"An order to Alisa Garbareva from 2-F class and Frenska Albertovia from 2-F class to immediately gather in the school hall. Signed, Mrs. Rumia Firlidina."

One of the teachers had called them both to gather in the school hall. Therefore, they had to obey her orders. The two of them then changed their pajamas and rushed to the hall.

After arriving at the school hall, there were 6 female students who had gathered there, and 3 of them were seniors from 3-E class who were known to be arrogant, namely Sophie Alkatiri and her two friends, Rinka Sukhova and Jouiria Valderlia. After seeing the arrival of Alisa and Frenska, the three of them looked at them cynically, especially after the incident that afternoon.

"Tch ... why are those two kids here?" Sophie muttered in a low voice.

Not long after, the sender of the message, who was also their teacher, Rumia Firlidina, appeared right in front of the stage like the wind. The attention of the eight students was immediately diverted to the teacher.

"Good evening, my students."

"Mrs. Rumia," said a student.

"I would like to apologize for calling you on this cool night. However, there is one mission that you must carry out," said the teacher.

"A mission?"

Rumia continued her explanation.

"As per our radar surveillance, there are some suspicious movements around Tovnik Forest, 15 kilometers southeast of here. Since it is not a very urgent matter, I only order you to check the area. However, if you find anything suspicious, report it here immediately and we will send assistance. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Mrs. Rumia."

"Okay. Then hurry up. I hope you girls can come back safely."

The magical girls set off towards their destination.

Thirty minutes passed. Before they knew it, Alisa and Frenska had arrived in the Tovnik Forest area. They walked on a small dirt road that had two intersections, one road leading to the village and the other road leading to the ruins of an ancient building.

"So far it's still safe, but we have to remain vigilant," Alisa told Frenska.

"Yes," she answered while taking out her weapon, a green staf that she named 'Green Elder'.

Everything seemed normal, nothing strange. The sound of crickets at night and the cold wind blowing accompanied their mission. But it didn't last long until a movement was seen in front of them, or more precisely from behind the bushes at the intersection. The two of them then prepared their weapons to fight, but it turned out that someone familiar to them came out from the bushes.

"Huh..., how about we just finish it here, Alisa Garbareva?"

Three girls came out of the bushes, none other than their seniors, Sophie Alkatiri, Rinka Sukhova, and Jouiria Valderlia. The three of them looked at Alisa and Frenska with a cynical look.

"Sis Sophie?"

"I still can't forgive you for what happened this afternoon. And now is the time for us to teach you a lesson."

Sophie pointed her sword at Alisa and Frenska. Meanwhile, Rinka took out a gray spear and Jouiria summoned a shotgun.

"Wait, Sis. Now is not the time for us to fight," Alisa tried to hold them back.

"She's right. Our purpose here is just to check this area," Frenska added.

"Shut up!! I will teach you a lesson about causing trouble with us."

Ignoring their words, Sophie immediately ran towards Alisa and Frenska to attack them. Both Alisa and Frenska were forced to take a defensive position. But unexpectedly, Sophie's footsteps were stopped by a strange gust of wind. The wind felt colder than usual.

"Tch, what is this?" Sophie was surprised.

"What a strange wind. Could it be ..."

Before they fully realized it, the wind from the south suddenly blew hard, accompanied by the appearance of a very thick fog. The fog was apparently created by water magic. Visibility was also blocked by that.

In this shocking situation, Alisa immediately jumped onto a tall tree branch behind her and covered her head to avoid the mist, worried that the magic mist contained dangerous poison.

"What really happened?" she wondered.

Her gaze was focused on the thick fog before she finally realized something.

"Oh wait, Frenska?"

The magic mist slowly disappeared from the surface of the ground, but Frenska and her three seniors had disappeared. Who knows where.

"Huh? they lost? Where are they?"

Alisa looked confused, looking for her partner. In that condition, her magical sensory ability detected enemies ready to attack her. She looked in various directions.

"Where is she? Front, left, right, back, down ..."

Alisa searches for the enemy's whereabouts before finally realizing it.

"Above!!"

Just as she looked up at the sky, she saw a human shadow covering part of the full moon.

"Enemy!!"

Alisa immediately jumped quickly from the tree branch before the mysterious figure hit her until it broke. Alisa prepared to fight back with her dagger. Illuminated by the light of the Folmane moon, the real form of the figure was finally visible.

She was a girl with her face covered by a robe that was almost the same as the one Alisa wore. Her hand held a fairly large sword resembling a meat cleaver with two square holes for the eyes. Its glint was visible from the moonlight. From her appearance, it was certain that she was a Vitanian magical girl.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" Alisa asked with her face covered by her robe.

The mysterious girl was surprised to hear Alisa's voice, as if she heard a voice that was familiar to her. But she didn't pay much attention to it and instead attacked Alisa with the sword she was holding. A swordsfight was inevitable.

TRINGG TRINGG

When there was a chance for Alisa to attack her legs, the mysterious girl quickly did a backward somersault. The position of her two hands looked like a bird in flight. There was no mistake, it was the 'Eastern Sky Swan Technique', one of the most famous 'Dancing Art' styles in Vitania.

The mysterious girl leaned on a tree trunk before darting to counterattack Alisa. Fortunately, she quickly realized that and immediately used her special hand-to-hand combat technique, 'Winter Whirlwind Dance'.

The 'Dancing Art' utilizes the wind generated by the opponent's attack to spin her around and launch a counterattack. Alisa managed to avoid the attack and kicked the girl's upper back, sending her flying quite far. However, her martial arts style was not yet perfect, causing Alisa to lose her balance.

"Ughh ..."

As if not giving up, the mysterious girl prepared to launch another attack. But this time she lowered her body, taking a stance with both hands holding the sword to her left. Her body was seen above a puddle of water. She then chanted an incantation before the sound of dripping water was heard. It seemed like she was going to use a magic technique.

"Ryst Silka!!"

Her prediction was right. The mysterious girl immediately shot towards Alisa, using the puddle as a spring. Alisa, who was surprised to see her, immediately spun her dagger and pointed it forward with her open left palm, before she cast an incantation to block the attack.

"Vaia!!"

A magical shield made of a whirlwind formed before the mysterious girl hit her. Because the attack was quite powerful, both of them were thrown far away until the covers of their robes came off.

"Aghh ..."

Alisa was thrown back and hit the tree behind her. Luckily, the impact was not too significant for her. She was still able to stand although a little unsteady as she approached the mysterious girl who was blocked by dust from the attack.

The mysterious girl bowed tiredly due to the magic created by Alisa. A small wound was visible on her cheek. The dust slowly disappeared, blown by the wind and made the girl's head more visible.

"You?"

Alisa was shocked after she saw her true form. The girl then turned to Alisa. Her beautiful and cold face was finally clearly visible. They faced each other. Alisa was stunned to see her face. Her mouth was wide open and she could barely say anything.

"Flo?"
