Chapter 6 A Dangerous Proposal

The days that followed were a whirlwind of emotions, leaving both Ethan and Lily grappling with their own internal conflicts. Ethan had agreed to open up to her a little more, though it was clear that his trust would not be easily won. Lily was patient, knowing that he was a man deeply scarred by his past, but she couldn't ignore the growing feelings she had for him.
