Chapter 5 A Desperate Situation

MAXIMUS'S P.O.V

"Sir, we have found the house of the lady you told us to find"

The voice of one of my subordinates sounded on my phone as I lay leisurely on my bed.

"Good, send it to me via SMS. I have to visit her"

I still vividly remember when I met her. Emma. I met her at a bar. She had been drunk, very drunk if you asked me, but she still had the strength to chat with me as soon as I sat down on a stool.

"Do you know..." she had slurred, "...my boyfriend just broke up with me?"

"Ahh. So a bad breakup?"

"Yes" she hiccups, "he says that I'm too boring and too decent for his taste...and that he never loved me." Hiccup "...can you believe it.." Hiccup, "...that?"

I raked my eyes over her body. She was far from boring, long-flowing bonded hair, green eyes illuminated by the lights in the bar, perfect plump lips, enough to tempt any man and a perfect hour-glass figure. My dick was starting to stir, I had to adjust myself.

"No, you are not boring"

"See..." she grinned at me with a silly smile. Then she leaned into me. "l knew I wasn't bored. You know..." hiccup, "I have decided to be innocent and insecure today."

I smiled slightly, "How?"

She leaned closer, "Can you be my indecent partner for today?" Her eyes were earnest.

"How...?"

"Sleep with me"

I was quiet for a while, she seemed to think that I had refused her as she leaned back with a pout.

"I knew it..." hiccup, "no one wants to be with me"

I grabbed her hand in mine, my dick was already bursting. "Follow me"

And then I took her to my room in a hotel, and we had a very passionate night. Only for her to wake up and tell me it was a mistake. Well, no way, it wasn't a mistake for me. I knew what I was doing. So I had followed her from day one. I even saw when she was crying and when she met her ex-boyfriend and his new girl, her cousin. Such a douche bag, he didn't know what he had lost.

I had bumped into her on purpose, but I couldn't have expected that she would be pregnant with me. I still remember what she had said when I asked her if it was mine.

"I really don't need your help, okay. I can take care of the baby myself". She had said.

I was really disappointed that she was going to hide such a thing from me, even expecting me to leave her to handle the responsibility of the baby. My baby.

So I went to her house. She looked shocked, it seemed she had discovered my true identity. Too bad, I was really enjoying going in incognito. She asked, "What are you doing here?" in a soft voice.

I answered.

Then I proceeded to tell her why I was here and what she was to do. I loved to see the flash of embarrassment as I said that night that she was like a sex monster to me, demanding more and giving more.

She had looked indecisive, but her friend was eager to agree on her behalf. Then her idiot of an ex-boyfriend showed up. A satisfied smile on his face.

"Emma, honey" he had called out. I guess, expecting her to smoke at him. He even had a bunch of red roses with him.

I saw her expression immediately. She saw him. It was that of disgust and anger. She had asked him in a cool voice what he was doing there, and he had the temerity to frown, as if the reason why he was there was very obvious.

"Baby, I am here for you. I know I hurt you, and I'm here to apologize", he had answered softly. I had felt the urge to get him to leave the house but couldn't do it. So, in order to calm myself, I sat down with a nonchalant expression on my face. while inside I was dying to knock his teeth out. It was when he realized that she would not be fooled by his apology that he finally regarded me with contempt.

"Wait. " Is it because of this guy that you can talk bravely to me like that?" he asked." I wanted to growl out a yes, but I held myself in check "... Who is he? Some new guy richer than I am or a sugar daddy.

Emma had meekly muttered, "No, he is not my sugar daddy" while sneaking a glance at me. I almost smiled.

It was when he started getting violent that I decided to interfere, left with an, "I'll be back, don't forget it".

Then I proceeded to speak once more of my demands to Emma. I had to make it so that she had no other choice. She agreed, but also with additional conditions of her own. She really wanted her best friend to come with her. If I didn't agree, it would be a dealbreaker. From the way the two women stared at me with held breaths, it made me understand that agreeing to her request would be best. I had knelt to meet her eyes. I couldn't help myself as I spoke seductively. Her eyes had become glazed with desire and her breaths were coming out in a gasp. The perfect reaction I wanted. I stood up casually as I turned away from them.

"Fine, she can come with you. " She can even sleep in the same room as you, as long as she doesn't step in my way or my business " I agreed.

"Oh, yeah. Now you're talking. Mr. " Star, I promise you won't even know I'm there." Jenny, her best friend, cheered. I hope so, which was what I thought to myself as I left her house feeling accomplished.

But now, as I sat in my office, I couldn't help feeling some sense of danger, but I couldn't figure out what.

"Sir!"

"What?" I snapped at the annoying subordinate who ran in hurriedly.

"The lady,...miss Emma"

I snapped to attention. "What is it? Speak!"

"She has just been rushed to the hospital"

"What!" I roared as I snapped to my feet.

"Her best friend called the police because she was brutally beaten by her ex-boyfriend who forced his way in".

"That bastard. Take me there right away". I knew something was wrong, that bastard just had to step on my tail. If anything happens to her, I swear I'll kill him.

"Doctor, the young lady that was brought in here, where is she?"

"And who is she to you?" the doctors asked me.

I grabbed the doctor's coat, "I am her fiancé goddammit, now where is she?". I roared.

"C...calm down, Mr. " Star, "he trembled, "we can go together".

Immediately, I saw Emma. I was enraged, she looked so pitiful, with bruises and bandages all over her body.

"How are you doing, Miss Emma?"

"How is my baby?"
