The next morning, Kimberly slowly opened her eyes feeling the bright sunlight on her face. Her eyes instinctively closed and she tried to move only to feel an unfamiliar ache in between her legs. She groaned softly before finally opening her eyes carefully. After adjusting to the light she noticed that she was in an unfamiliar room. Her mind was blank, head aching and at that moment she seemed to realize that something or rather someone was pressing on her waist. Her first instinct upon seeing the large hand was to scream but she held herself back, biting her lower lip hard.
She then carefully turned around only to be met with one of the most- no, the most handsome face she had ever seen. She felt heart beat faster at the sight of the man before her. Sharp jawline, sharp features, black messy curled hair and eyelashes as thick and possibly smooth as a butterfly's wings. His skin as white as snow, his face possibly that of an angel. Kimberly sighed softly as the memories of the previous night came flooding her head, making it hurt even more. So this was the devil from last night. She had lost her virginity, TO A STRANGER!! A hint of worry flashed in her eyes but she quickly pushed it aside and breathed in before taking in her surroundings. Judging by the luxury of the room, the man she slept with probably wasn't an ordinary man. She clenched her teeth, determination flashing in her eyes. No, she had to get out of there. She could't afford to be entangled with the rich.
After coming to a resolution, she carefully removed the man's arm from her waist and got up before quickly wearing her clothes. She then quickly stole a glance at the stranger and sighed.
"Until we meet again, stranger." she said softly before leaving.

An hour later, at the airport, Kimberley stood with Kayla, who was obviously close to crying at the boarding gate. She was leaving, going to France, Paris. After turning on her phone earlier, she had discovered that the patent had already been released and it clearly showed that her pills had a ninety nine percent chance of curing any stage of cancer and they were harmless to the body. This led to many companies domestically and abroad to start poaching her. In her moment of desperation, not wanting to meet that stranger again, she accepted an offer from a medical institution abroad and booked the earliest flight, which would be taking off at any moment now.
"I'm so gonna miss you." said Kayla, probably close to breaking down. Kimberely had told her about everything that transpired yesterday. Although she didn't quite agree with the idea of Kimberly running, she knew she couldn't change her mind and therefore it would be better to just support her. Kimberly hugged her and forced a smile.
"Come on. It's not like I'll be gone forever. Besides, this is a good opportunity. I can't miss it." she said. "And.. you can come and visit me whenever you feel like it. My home is always open."
Kayla nodded and they hugged for a moment.
"I'm sorry for last night." she whispered sadly. Kimberly froze for a moment before nodding with a forced smile.
"Can you do me a favour?" she asked. Kayla nodded seriously.
"Last night, I was drugged. Can you find out who did it?" said Kimberly. Kayla was a little shocked but she quickly composed herself before nodding.
"I'll do my best." she said.
"Ladies and gentlemen, flight number 7 heading to France, Paris will be leaving in five minutes. Boarders should please make their way to their seats." came the announcement from the intercom, loud enough for everyone to hear. Kimberly sighed and took her suitcase from Kayla.
"Oh well, that's my cue to leave. I'll call you as soon as I land." she said. Kayla nodded before pulling her into one final hug.
"Take care of yourself." she said. Kimberly smiled and hugged her back, tightly.
"Same to you." she said as they pulled apart.
"Say goodbye to Mia for me. It's a pity she couldn't come." said Kimberly. Kayla nodded.
"Okay then, I'll take my leave. Goodbye." said Kimberly, waving at her bestie before turning and leaving. Kayla waved back, fighting back tears. As Kimberly disappeared from her sight, she wiped her tears and sighed, a hint of determination flashing in her eyes.
'Whoever hurt you will pay deeply. That's my promise.' she thought to herself before getting into her car and driving away.
On the other side, after getting into the airport and checking in, Kimberley hesitated for a little while to get into the plane as she gazed at the city before her eyes. This is where she was born, grew up and did everything. Behind, she was leaving her parents, her family and her best friends.. all because of a little fear. She even wondered if it was all worth it.
"A kindly reminder, plane 7 heading to France, Paris will be leaving in three minutes. Boarders should please make their way into the plane. Thank you." came the voice from the intercom again. Kimberly sighed before turning around and getting into the plane decisively. Forget it. It was probably better this way.
As the plane flew up, Kimberley, who was sitting at the window seat, looked down at the bright city she had called home for the past 23 years, feeling a bit of nostalgia. She was leaving, perhaps.. never to come back. A small sad smile lingered on her face as the once big buildings got smaller and smaller until she couldn't see them anymore.
