RONALD POV

" Boss,you have to see this," Leila said,hastening her steps towards me as I entered my office.

" What's the problem?" I asked, tapping the table. Last night was exhausting for me and now there is another issue to deal with.

" The board of directors seem to be rebelling,sir," Lillian said, showing me the latest update on her laptop.

" Rebelling?" I said with raised eyebrows.

"70% of the board of directors are opposing you for being the next chairman - ."

"What's the cause of this opposition?" I asked, removing my tie. It's suffocating.

"Your Uncle ,Luke Hoffman." She replied

" He is making his move already," I said, smirking.

" Get the meeting room set,get the directors on board and put a call across to my lawyer ," I ordered.

" Okay Boss," she said, turning to get straight to work.

The meeting lasted for hours,I was able to convince the directors so that I could buy more time. I stretched my arms , relaxing in my chair. My eyes were heavy, I can't afford to sleep now.

"Mr. Kael is here,sir," Leila said,knocking on the door of my office.

" Let him in and get us two cups of coffee," I said, arranging the documents on my table.

" Mr Ronald!" Mr Kael called, stepping into my office.

"Good Morning ,Mr kael," I said , standing up to shake hands with him.

" Sit please," I said, gesturing to him to sit on the chair.

"I was on my way to work when Leila called to inform me about the opposition from the board of directors,"he said.

" That was the reason I called you. I have been able to talk them out of it. knowing those men too well I'm they will bring it up again-"

" I think someone will propel them to oppose you. You can be voted out from being the chairman when 60% of the board directors are not supporting you," said Mr Kael, adjusting his glasses .

" Here are your cups of coffee," Leila said, placing the cup of coffee on the table

" Thanks, Leila," Mr Kael said,while Leila excused us.

" So , you are suggesting I win them over?" I asked

" Yes,that will do. Use possible means to make them support you," he said.

" Okay, I will work on that. Thank you,"

" It's my pleasure," he said , exchanging a handshake and exiting the office.

' Things are moving faster than I thought. I need to act fast,' I said in my thoughts.

"Leila, I need you in my office, right now."

" You called me, sir," Leila said, entering the office.

"Make reservations for a wedding hall. I will send an email to you,get it printed and send them out to the names I will send to you. We have a wedding to prepare and also don't forget to inform the press," I said, crossing my arms on my chest.

" Congratulations,Boss," Leila said, smiling.

" Thanks,Leila. Stop grinning and get to work," I ordered, shaking my head at are reaction to the news.

" On it ," she said aloud.

'I need to call Emily to inform her about the latest development,we are getting married this weekend. It can't wait any longer.' I muttered to myself, putting a call across to her.

I called her number more than twice but it rang but she wasn't picking . After an hour she called back.

" Hello, I'm -," her voice sounded from the other side of the phone.

" You don't know what the purpose of a phone is ,do you? I tried calling you several times but you didn't pick up. This is not the first time you won't pick my calls," I said cutting her off

"Can you just let me ..." she signed. " Let me give reasons for not picking your call this time,"she said in a low tone.

" You don't have any excuse,you are not a kid"I spat, getting pissed.

" I'm in the hospital.I seem to have injured someone," she said,sighing.

" Crazy," I scoffed " you don't appear as someone who could harm a fly,"

" Well, it's a long or should I say a short story? I don't think you would be interested in listening to it," she said

" Ma'am , the doctor needs you to come to his office," a voice said in the background.

" A minute , please," She said .

" I called to tell you that we are getting married this week."

" What! Why so fast? Today is Monday and there are a lot of things to prepare," she said.

"I needed to move it up because of some issues .You don't have to worry about the preparations. It would be taken care of," I said , assuring her.

"And you are just informing me now?" she said, faltering.

" That's why I'm telling you now so that you will get ready for the task ahead,"

"Okay," she said, sighing.

"I will pick you up by 9am " I called to tell you that we are getting married this week." I said, hanging up the call and got back to work.

I got so busy with work and didn't know when the time passed quickly until Colin entered my office.

" Hey,man!" Colin said, bumping his fist with mine.

"Thank goodness you came over. I lost track of time, working," I said, stretching my long legs.

" You are overworking yourself,man. You gotta look into the mirror,the bags under your eyes are as big as a ball," Colin said,

"Ahahh," I laughed. " As big as a ball? You are such a fibber,Colin."

"By the way, I'm not here to sweet talk you into taking some time off work and I think you will do that in a few days during your honeymoon," he said, staring at me naughtily.

" I've got some work to give you concerning the wedding plan,I believe you will carry it out well.I will send it to your email," I said, changing the topic.

" I got you,Bro," he said. I'm offended that I get to see your wedding date online though.

" I apologize, Colin. I'm in a rush"

" No worries,man. I'm happy to see a man who sees dating as a waste of time getting married." He said, curling up the corner of his mouth while I laughed it off.

'Colin is such a drama king,' I muttered, smirking.
