Chapter 2 OLIVIA'S ANGER.

For ten minutes straight, Olivia remained silent. She didn't cry nor scream nor did she make a fuss. She just became silent, like a dead person. Her mind raced with a million thoughts, her eyes momentary empty. Everyone else just looked at her, waiting for her to finally react. The silence was deadly, the air tensed.

"Tell me you're joking." said Olivia. Everyone exchanged glances and didn't speak up. Olivia knew what that meant. She remained silent. After a while, Ms Carter couldn't take it anymore.

"Olivia, are you okay?" she asked. Olivia didn't answer.

"Olivia, are you okay?" repeated Ms Carter, a little louder this time. Only then did Olivia snap out of her daze and react. She started pacing around the room, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Am I okay? You're asking me if I'm okay?! Hell no! I'm not at all okay!! How can I be when you just told me this bullsh*t?!!" she roared at the top of her voice, tears streaming down her cheeks. She was in pain and that pain could be seen in her eyes.

"Ms Olivia, mind your language." warned the principal. Olivia turned to her and a bitter chuckle escaped her mouth.

"Language? You're telling me about language at a time like this?! Well guess what?! F*ck the language! F*ck you and everyone else! Fuck this world! Why?! Why is this happening to me?! Why does everything always happen to me?! Mmh?! I've been trying, my whole fuckin life to be good, to fucken remain positive, to hold on but every fuckin time something happens! Why is it only me on the receiving end?! Why do I always have to be on the receiving end?! Just Why?! Am I no longer allowed to be happy?!" she screamed angrily. Right now, all she felt was anger and pain. It hurt so much. She tried to control herself, to calm down but she couldn't, not now. She already knew how scary she could be when her anger reaches the top level but now she couldn't care less. Her eyes were bloodshot red and she was close to losing her fuckin sanity.

"Olivia, calm down." said Ms Carter cautiously. Mrs Smith was already in tears as she looked at Olivia, her eyes filled with nothing but guilt. Olivia was devastated. She felt like her whole world was crumbling down and in the process, she was getting buried under it. Tears fell from her eyes as she shook her head repeatedly.

"Calm down?! These people lied to me! I was fuckin betrayed!" she cried at the top of her lungs. "Why would you guys do this to me?! What wrong did I do to you?!" she asked angrily. Her face was strained with tears, her eyes filled with pain and disbelief. She turned to her "father", her voice breaking.

"Pappa mamma, please tell me this is a joke. Tell me they're lying to me, waiting to see my sick reaction. Mamma."she said, her voice breaking. Mrs Smith couldn't face her as she looked down in shame and guilt while mr Smith just looked at the ceiling, tears streaming down his face. He couldn't believe that any of this was happening. He couldn't believe that Olivia wasn't his daughter. He never knew. He was never told. If he hadn't seen the evidence, he wouldn't have believed that his daughter wasn't really his. Olivia saw all of this and almost lost hope but she quickly shook her head.

"No, you're lying to me. You're all lying to me. You want to separate me from my parents. Mamma, pappa, they threatened you, right? Don't worry, I don't believe them."she said desperately. She felt like she was losing her mind. This couldn't be happening.

"Olivia, stop this." snapped Ms Carter.

"No, you stop this! Stop this whole nonsense of yours!" snapped back Olivia. "You can't just appear out of nowhere and tell me that my whole life was a lie then expect me to just believe it! I'm not a fool! I wasn't born yesterday! Why should I believe you?! Why can't I think you're lying to me?! I fuckin need proof!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. Ms Carter nodded and looked at the other lady, who also nodded before coming forward.

"Ms Olivia, I am attorney Peterson and I'm a lawyer. We already constructed a DNA test, though I personally think it was not needed. Here are the results. I expected something like this to happen so here you go. All the proof you need." she said as she took out a document from her briefcase and handed it to Olivia. Olivia took it with shaky hands.

"Did you take my DNA without my permission?" she asked, trying to calm herself down. Attorney Peterson sighed.

"We did what we had to do ma'am. It was the only way we could be 100% sure." she said.

"There are two DNA tests in that envelope, one with Mr Williams and one with Mrs Williams. And if you aren't satisfied, we can repeat the test." she continued. Olivia took a deep breath and opened the envelope before taking out two neatly folded papers. She unfolded the first one.

'Miss Smith and Mr Williams ARE BIOLOGICAL DAUGHTER AND FATHER.' she silently read. Unconsciously, she clenched her fists, her heart breaking into a million pieces. She didn't need to read the second one. She already knew what it would say. She couldn't deny it any longer though she wanted to. The evidence was right in front of her. She looked intently at the paper, trying to find any flaws when she spotted the hospital the test was conducted in. Life hospital. The best and most expensive hospital in South Africa and around the world, originally from New York, owned by some rich person there. The hospital was known for its clean record, it was unbribable. The tears she had tried so hard to hold back fell at that moment. She looked at the ceiling, trying so hard to control her sobs. There was no way she would cry again. She took a couple of minutes, breathing in and out, trying to calm herself down. Gradually, she did and wiped her tears before looking at her 'mother', her face as cold as ice, her eyes emotionless.

"What is the meaning of this?" she asked, her voice hoarse. Mrs Smith gulped down nothing and fiddled with her fingers nervously, a shiver running down her spine.

"I asked you a fuckin question!" snapped Olivia when she remained silent. Mrs Smith was startled and stunned at the same time. Olivia had never raised her voice at her nor had she spoken and looked at her so harshly. It had always been the other way around. It was also the first time she had seen Olivia so angry and it kinda frightened her.

"Oli, I'm sorry." she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Olivia shook her head and laughed, her laughter filled with nothing but cruelty. She paced around the room, laughing very hard. The next second, a vase flew to the wall, thrown by Olivia. The laughter disappeared without a trace, her whole aura turning cruel and her eyes revealing a hint of bloodlust. It felt like someone had stuffed poop into her mouth. An emotion passed in her eyes, perhaps disgust.

"You're not answering my question, woman. I asked what the meaning of this was?" she said coldly.
