Chapter 4 The Tragedy

The Tragedy.

Every love story has an end, but sometimes the end might be the start of a new chapter that comprises a lot of beautiful stories while others contain horrifying ones. But for Mafia cities, that is a whole different story as it is 12:30 pm in Los Cabos, Mexico City. A day filled with a lot of atrocities for the two couples as they are being surrounded by a group of men around them after being caught as they were trying to escape out of the city to escape Juan Mateo's pressure after Camilla wanted to flee with Fernando.

The afternoon sun is hot as it flashes its rays straight into Fernando's face. Blurring his vision as he squeezes his eyes to get clear vision while looking at the guard with blood smeared all over his face after receiving a brutal beating from Mateo's men, leaving him helpless with no strength left in his body while Camilla is beside him looking terrified with so much anxiety inside her heart, fearing on what her father might do to both of them.

Albert looks at Fernando with a crooked grin. Feeling pity for Fernando as the bodyguards surround him, all defenseless with no help. "I told you, Fernando, that I was going to catch you in no time. Didn't I?"

Fernando snarls at Albert. With teeth reddish. "You Bastard!"

Mateo interjects. "Wow! Wow! Wow! What is with that attitude, young boy? Didn't your father teach you some manners?"

Albert glances at Mateo with a smirk. "For the way it looks, I guess not."

A terrifying moment for both Camilla and Fernando. Despite all of their efforts to fight on one course. The course of fighting for their love until their last breath. But right now, things don't look quite interesting on their side as they are both surrounded by bodyguards everywhere while they are all holding their guns, waiting for their boss's command.

Mateo extends his hands toward his daughter. "Darling, come to daddy. There is nothing to do here right now."

Camilla shakes her head, "No Daddy! There is no way that I'm going to come with you."

Mateo sighs, rolling his eyes with disbelief on his face. "Oh Gosh! What is with all of this? Do you think you have any other choice than coming with us right now?"

The tears fall on Camilla's face with the agony burning inside her heart since all the sacrifices that she has made to save her love seem to go to waste after Albert and Mateo catch them off guard as they are trying to escape out of the city to start their life and be happy, but now there is nothing left inside their heart more than fear.

Camilla sniffs her nose and then speaks. "Daddy, why can't you understand me even a bit? I said that I love Fernando and I'm willing to do anything to be with him. Why are you forcing me to marry Albert?" Why Daddy?!"

Mateo and Albert glance at each other with puzzled looks on their faces and then laugh sarcastically. "Hahahaha!"

Mateo and Albert's laughter triggers some anguish inside Fernando's heart as he looks at them while figuring out what to do to escape the place as they are being surrounded by bodyguards everywhere. Not knowing what to do next as he is helpless with no strength.

Mateo steps closer to Camilla's space with a crooked grin. "Darling, I think you are losing your mind right now. Do you think I'm stupid enough to allow you to marry a cowboy that I fed and nurtured since he was a kid?"

Fernando looks at Mateo with a stern look on his face. "Mr. Mateo, that is so disrespectful of you. I will not allow you to disrespect me like that."

Mateo turns his head with clenched teeth. "And you! Shut up! Shut up! You better keep quiet before I do something awful for you."

Camilla interjects. "Daddy! Just leave us alone, please! Why can't you leave us alone so that we can be happy For Heaven's sake?"

Mateo turns and walks towards her daughter's space and then grabs her hands by force. "Shut up! There is no way that I'm going to allow you to marry that nobody, you are going to marry Albert, and that is it!"

"But Daddy, I have already told you. I don't love Albert at all, why can't you understand that? Why?!" Camilla shouts at her daddy with tears falling on her face. Feeling helpless while Mateo is grabbing her hand.

"You will learn to love him and care for him when you are all married together, "Mateo pulls his daughter's hand by force and continues, "Now it's time to leave. There is nothing left to do here."

Mateo pulls Camilla's hand forcefully, walking straight towards his car parking beside an abandoned compound while Camilla is trying to resist going as she plants her feet on the ground. "Fernando! Help me please!" Camilla screams.

Fernando leaps to his feet from the ground, trying to reach Camilla, but unfortunately, in the middle of his way, he fails after the guards surround him on every corner, grabbing him with both of his hands. "Don't touch me! Let go of her! Why are you treating us like this?" Fernando shouted at Mateo.

At the time Mateo reaches Albert's space, he then looks at him and nods his head. "You need to do what we have discussed before. Make sure that he won't cause any of the problems again."

Albert nods with a grin. "Don't worry about that father-in-law. I know what to do next."

Mateo pulls Camilla and continues walking towards his car, parking in front of the abandoned compound while Camilla's heart races faster with so much anxiety. Fearing what might happen next to Fernando," What is it, Daddy? What are you going to do to him?"

Mateo smirks. "Just wait for it, you will see."

Camila's heart races into an unmatched rhythm while her father grabs her by force. Pulling her straight towards the car while Fernando is being beaten by Albert and his guards from behind.

Bump-bump-bump!

The shocking waves of chills run through Camilla's body as soon as she hears the gunshot. And when she turns and looks at Fernando. She then sees Fernando being covered with blood everywhere around his body while lying down on the ground in slow motion after the gunshot.

Camilla shakes her head with her wide eyes open. "No! Fernando!"

Camilla lost all of her senses after seeing the lover of her life, Fernando, lying down on the ground. Trying to remove herself from her father's grip while Mateo is pulling her by force.
