Chapter 2_ The Big Boss
Ethan snapped his head to the side only to see James his buddy. The latter casted him an annoyed expression.
This was the main reason Ethan came to the terrace to escape the wrath of his family. They were all mad of the fact that he wasn't present at his own wedding.
This whole mess wasn't entirely his fault in anyway. All he ever wanted in life was to become an artist but his parents and family pressured him to get married and at the same time take up the new CEO position in their company.
Ethan wasn't ready for all those responsibilities, he believed that his youth shouldn't be wasted sitting behind a desk and computer all day till you get old.
"Come on man. You of all people shouldn't feel bad about the wedding. Getting married to Diana was never in my plan. I bet she understands too"
James shook his head slowly in defeat, He was sure that Ethan knew what this matter on ground would cause tomorrow morning.
This news would certainly hit the headline tomorrow and the whole Reynolds would be involved.
"She's beautiful"
James scanned the surrounding in search of any lady in sight and when he found none, he returned his attention back to Ethan who was smiling sheepishly to himself.
"Who are you talking about?"
Ethan sat up and was hasty to narrate everything about his encounter to his friend.
After the five long minutes of explanation, James was left laughing his guts out.
"Come on dude!"
"Seriously Ethan? She slapt you and you're still thinking of her? I'll go inform your mum that you're slowly losing your mind! Mrs Reynold!!" James yelled and rose up to his feet. And without warning, he took off running as fast as he could to the exit while Ethan ran after him.
"James! Get back here!"

The next morning was a bit chaotic as the reporters could be seen flocking around the residence of the Reynold's.
This issue involved two families who were once business and family allies but due to the scandal their bond was threatening to break apart.
Diana Miller was the most humiliated in this case, she'd forever be known as the abandoned bride and that was the more reason her family was annoyed by the outcome of their months long preparation for a grand wedding.
In a large room, sat all the Reynold's. Each looking no less moody than the other. The previous day's incident was still fresh in their minds.
They couldn't even step out of their homes without being surrounded by the press in a matter of seconds.
"I told you times without number Amira! you're only spoiling Ethan! and now look at what that urchin you gave birth to has done to our family's name!" Elder Reynold, Raymond barked furiously pointing a finger at Amira.
Amira took a deep sigh in. She was the most embarrassed person in the whole world. A day to the wedding she had spent all her time pleading with Ethan to cooperate with his bride on their wedding day.
He agreed immediately and that was what gave her hope until yesterday where her hope was smashed into a billion pieces before her very own eyes.
"I know Ethan was wrong but my son isn't an urchin"
"Then where on earth is he?! We are having a very important discussion and he is nowhere to be found!"
Meanwhile back at Ethan's room...
His shirtless figure sprawled on the messy bed in deep slumber. His room was littered with paints, brushes and a numerous stalk of white paper sheets which had a few drawings on them.
A rasp knock came on his door which stirred him in his sleepy state and made him fall off the edge of the bed with a loud thud.
"Shit!" he cussed loudly as he helped himself up. He stretched his arms which gave a clearer view of his toned and muscular chest.
The knock persisted for a while longer before he decided to check who it was.
He unlocked the door and poked his head out a little.
"Young master, Elder Reynold seeks your presence at the family gathering"
Ethan barely gave a nod before slamming the door close. He ruffled his dark hair in frustration thinking of a possible solution to the problem he had created.
"F*ck! they'll yell the hell out of my eardrums. I can't bear it!"
His eyes fell on one of the drawings he had spent all night trying to draw.
He picked one of the numerous paper littered around. Last night he had tried to sketch the lady he had seen the previous day but he failed hard at every new attempt.
"I'll find you as soon as I get out of this mess"
Back at the living room..
Ethan's presence was still being awaited on. Deep frowns had already settled on each of their faces. It's been a while since the maid went to inform him.
Few minutes ticked by more before Amira decided to go check up on him by herself. She stood up to her feet, barely two steps away from them, she spotted the maid sent earlier to Ethan's room rushing down the stairs in worry.
"Ma'am young master is gone!"
"What?!"

The elevators door made a ding before it pulled open. Almost immediately, A lady stepped out with a man on black behind her.
"Good morning ma'am and here's your coffee" The blondie who suddenly appeared with a cup of coffee greeted with a wide grin.
A wider grin grew on her face after the coffee was accepted but she still felt the piercing eyes of the lady on her.
"I hate that smell on you get rid of it!"
Ashley brought the coffee to her lips but paused as soon as it touched her lips.
"And also the coffee is cold" She huffed releasing her grip on the cup causing it to drop to the ground.
"Oops! Clean that up!" She added and turned around heading straight to her office.
"I think ma'am is in an even worse mood today" One of the employee murmured to another in a hushed tone.

Ashley settled on her seat behind the desk. She opened her PC immediately and began typing away on it.
A knock came before the door opened. The Blondie who was scolded a while back came in and cleared her throat to get her boss's attention.
"Ma'am. these came in a while back, it needs your signature"
Ashley brought her gaze up to stare at her employee "I thought I asked you to get rid of that awful smell Sharon!"
Taken aback by her harsh and cold words, Sharon placed the files on Ashley's desk and scurried out of the office.
She sniffed her arm which smelt of her new rose perfume.
"Do I smell?" she questioned herself.
"Ma'am doesn't like the smell of roses" The bodyguard standing by the door relayed and returned back to his stoic expression.
