Chapter 4 Harlee Flew A Helicopter

Hatred toward Harlee boiled inside Adelina as she caught Liam's disappointed expression and Averie's shocked face.

Adalina never anticipated Harlee actually grasped fashion design and exposed her plagiarism in front of everyone. Now, everyone in high society in Adenarora laughed at her. It was all Harlee's fault!

With clear evidence of her plagiarism on display for all to see, Adelina bitterly realized trying to defend herself would only make matters worse. She gritted her teeth, forced down her anger, and hurried after Harlee.

When Adelina rushed to the exit, she spotted Harlee dragging her suitcase alone, lacking any intent to hail a taxi. This sight eased some of Adelina's fury.

Adelina sneered, "Harlee, don't tell me you can't even pay for a cab now? Why not come back in, apologize to the guests, and tell them that you slipped those designs into my sketchbook? If you do that, I'll get a car to take you home. Sound good?" Her tone was unmistakably condescending, taunting Harlee on purpose.

Liam caught up and glanced at Harlee with a complicated face. "Harlee, we can't let Adelina's reputation be tarnished like this. If you agree to take the blame for Adelina, I promise I'll arrange a car for you."

"Liam, why waste your breath on this heartless brat? Even before her departure, she aims to ruin Adelina! Harlee, listen up! If you don't go back and take the blame, I swear I'll make you pay!" Averie chimed in, her face lighting up at Adelina's proposal.

Harlee turned around and silently watched her former family making this unreasonable demand with such shamelessness. Her eyes grew icy, and she gave them one long, final look. Then, she brushed her hair and caressed the hidden camera in her earring before turning and walking away without saying a word. She'd had enough of this farce.

At Harlee's steadfast stance, Averie's face turned red with anger. "This wicked woman! How could she be so vile, watching Adelina's reputation go down? Guards, seize her! Adelina's reputation is on the line because of her!"

"Enough!" Liam yelled, glaring at Averie, his expression darkening. Guests were gathering around them, and if this escalated, things would only get worse.

Liam pulled Averie back into the banquet hall, trying to salvage their dignity. Meanwhile, Adelina observed Harlee walking away unbothered, her heart boiling with anger. Grinding her teeth, Adelina made a call, quickly giving instructions before following Harlee at a distance.

Harlee walked toward a temporary helipad. There, under a silver waterproof tarp, was something parked. She reached up and pulled it off, revealing her custom-modified helicopter.

The helicopter was not very big, but it stood out in a bold shade of crimson, decorated with intricate silver-white spider lilies painted across its body. It was flashy and truly a piece of art, featuring bulletproof elements.

The helicopter was fully outfitted. Every part was top-notch and made from the highest quality custom components.

Harlee tossed her suitcase into the storage compartment, put on her helmet, and settled into the pilot's seat.

The helicopter started to lift off the ground. As Harlee looked down, she caught sight of Adelina hiding in the shadows, watching her.

Adelina was stunned. She rubbed her eyes in disbelief, struggling to accept what she was seeing. Harlee owned a helicopter? And even more astonishing, Harlee knew how to fly it? This couldn't be happening!

Adelina's mind spun. She refused to believe what she was witnessing. This helicopter had to be stolen. There was no way that lazy, good-for-nothing Harlee could have the skills or resources to own something like this!

Fueled by jealousy, Adelina yelled at her hired men to stop Harlee.

At Adelina's command, her bodyguards hurled their electric batons at Harlee's helicopter, trying to smash the windshield.

Harlee narrowed her eyes, her expression icy. Without a second thought, she angled the helicopter downward, flying just above the heads of Adelina and her men.

"Ah!" Adelina screamed as the powerful gust from the helicopter's rotor blades tangled her hair. A large clump was ripped from her scalp, leaving a bald, bloody spot.

Ignoring Adelina's cries and the chaos below her, Harlee soared into the sky, steering her helicopter toward her company.
