Chapter 2

Clint, an experienced artist with high emotional intelligence, promptly shifted the discussion, "Village Chief, I heard from the director that the village children have prepared a performance, is that right?"

The Village Chief nodded with a smile, enthusiastically leading the crew into the village, saying, "The stage is over here. The villagers spent the whole morning setting it up for the kids."

The so-called stage was actually just a simple wooden platform set up in an open area an open space.

However, the children were delighted, bouncing up onto it and quickly arranging themselves into formation.

On either side stood two girls in slightly worn old attire, performing a graceful backbend.

The five guests watched with looks of astonishment.

"Their movements, had they learned dance before?" someone asked.

Marlee's lips tightened into a straight line, as if she was lost in thought.

From a short distance away, the Village Chief answered loudly, "Yes, these kids have been taught dance. Even though the school's dance classes stopped practicing three years ago. They practice stretching every day!"

As he spoke, the Village Chief pulled a tape recorder from his pocket, fiddled with it for a while, and pressed the play button.

The music was a piece performed with classical instruments, "A Song of Timeless Beauty."

Marlee's face expression immediately turned stern. Harold ruffled his messy hair, looking slightly irritated and saying, "Couldn't we change to a different..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Caleb stopped him with a look.

Caleb said, "The kids worked hard on their rehearsal. The song doesn't matter."

Harold fell silent, and then the children began to dance to the music on stage.

Their clothes were simple, their faces unadorned, and some even had mud on their pant legs.

But none of this could overshadow the beauty of their dance.

Even more surprising was that the lead dancer was a young boy, whose grace and elegance were so striking... almost as if he had been copied from someone else!

Harold's expression grew increasingly darker. Those familiar with him could tell that he was on the verge of raging out an outburst.

When the children finished their dance, everyone raised their hands to applaud, but Harold remained motionless.

Clint once again found a topic to discuss, "They danced wonderfully. These kids are really talented!"

The Village Chief laughed heartily, saying, "It's all thanks to Ms. Gordon! She taught the kids all their dances! This dance was also choreographed by Ms. Gordon!"

Harold couldn't hold back any longer. He rushed to the Village Chief and smashed the recorder in Village Chief's hand, saying, "What exactly did Lorraine Gordon want? Wasn't she done yet? Hadn't she disgusted us enough? She's been out of this industry for five years, why does she still have to come out and disgust people?"

The villagers stared at Harold, their eyes turning red.

The smiles on the children's faces froze, not understanding why this handsome young man was acting so crazily.

One boy took off his shoe and threw it at Harold's head, saying, "You insult Ms. Gordon! You're a bad person!"

All the children began to cry and said, "He's a bad person! He's a big bad guy!"

Even the disabled girl picked up a small stone and threw it at Harold's feet, saying, "I hated you!"

A villager rolled up his sleeves, revealing his strong and dark muscles, and charged forward in anger.

The Village Chief raised his hand to stop the villager, slowly gesturing back in the direction they had come from, his whole body trembling, saying, "Get out, get out of here!"

Everyone pointed at Harold, saying, "Get out! Get out of Uprar Village! You're not welcome here!"

No one anticipated that the widely praised reality show "A Life to Yearn For 3" would encounter such a major 'broadcast accident' right from the beginning.

The fixed guest destroyed the Village Chief's recorder, and no matter the reason, it would mark a notable blemish on Harold's career in the entertainment industry.

The show was forced to stop, the live broadcast was interrupted, and the assistant director immediately approached to offer an apology, "Village Chief, I'm sorry. Everyone who knew Harold that he's really a good person, just a bit young and hot-tempered. Please don't be angry... He had conflicts with Lorraine Gordon before, which is why he got so angry..." the assistant director said.

Despite the assistant director's attempt to smooth things over, the Village Chief remained silent and fiddled with the broken recorder. His face stern and lost in thought.

Finally, the director himself stepped in, offering cigarettes to the male villagers one by one, and mentioning the contract and the long-term benefits the show would bring to Uprar Village. Only then did the villagers relent.

"He can stay, but if he insults Ms. Gordon again..." Village Chief said.

The director assured said, "The show would terminate his contract!"

Harold gritted his teeth but dared not shout any further, saying, "Lorraine Gordon was disgusting, like a lingering shadow. Couldn't she just stay far away?"

Marlee stepped forward, tugging at his arm, saying, "Alright, Harold, stop it. What happened back then... My sister has already left the industry and faced her punishment. Don't curse her anymore."

Harold opened his mouth, about to retort, but Marlee sighed softly, saying, "It's just... My sister wouldn't really thinking of using our show to make a comeback, would she? It's fine if she does, but she better not ruin the reputation of 'Yearning.'"

Harold frowned and strode towards the director.

He looked at the Village Chief and said, "Fine, if I insult Lorraine again, I'll quit 'A Life to Yearn For.' But Village Chief, you must also agree to one thing! During the filming process, you must prevent Lorraine Gordon from appearing on camera! If she appears on camera, it's your breach of contract. How about that?"

The atmosphere suddenly turned strange.

The villagers looked at Harold, wanting to say something but hold back. Their eyes fixed on him as if trying to bore a hole through him.

After a long while, the Village Chief actually laughed in anger, his voice tinged with a bit of gritted teeth, saying, "Rest assured! Ms. Gordon will absolutely not appear in front of your cameras!

Because she passed away three years ago!"
