"How could an omega have this kind of body build?" In a flash, he appeared behind him, turned him around, and immediately grabbed his throat. As he tightened his grip on his neck, the man's face revealed
"Ethan?" Deuce creased his brows.
"A...l.pha." Ethan's voice cracked.
"What are you doing back here? Start talking before I pluck out your hearts and feed them to my pets." Ethan's eyes are now becoming blurred, his hands battling for his life with Deuce's grip on his neck. He gasped for breath as Deuce released his grip.
"This is my chance," Ethan suddenly charged at Deuce without him aware. He scratches Deuce's arms with his long nails.
Deuce winced in pain, and this gave Ethan a chance to escape.
"Catch him," Deuce's voice echoed through the corridors, and the omegas in sight started running after Ethan.
"Are you okay, Alpha? Lucas asked as he saw the blood gushing out of Deuce's hand.
"What's happening in this den, anyone can just come here? What would have happened if it were to be an army that ambushed us? Where were you all this while? Deuce's voice was loud and scary for the omegas around as he questioned Lucas and Bruno.
"Find Ethan and when you do, let me meet him without his hands. Deuce left the hall angrily
"You heard the Alpha; he wants him alive but also in blood," Bruno added before heading out with the omegas. "Aren't you coming?" He faced Lucas
Lucas only walks by him without saying a word.
"Hmmm" Bruno sighed and followed him
Deuce went back to Elise's room, her sleeping figure unaware of the danger that lurked around her. He stood beside her bed and saw the scissors Ethan left behind by the bedside. He picked it up and brought it close to his nose.
"Blood of a young werewolf. What did he use it to do and what does he want with Elise?"
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a muffled sound. He moved closer to her and the sound increased. His hands moved to her hair and he found himself stroking it.
In Elise's head, the doppelganger reappeared. Elise was caged together with deadly dark creatures. Her cries sounded like a piece of music in the doppelganger's ears
"Welcome back, Elise"
"Let me go," Elise voice cracked with tears.
"No, no, I can't do that dear. Your destiny is yet to be fulfilled. It's just getting started." The doppelganger's voice was filled with evilness. "Your life will end just like your last life." Her evil grin plastered on her face as she moved forward to Elise
"You get to have a second chance just to end the same way. Hmmm, painful " She mocked
"No, let me go." Elise held her head, shaking vigorously. She woke up to see the white ceiling, indicating she was still in the werewolf's den. For once, she was glad to be in the den.
Throughout all this while, she didn't see the pair of eyes on her. Her eyes came in contact with Deuce's concerned face.
"Why is he here? Did he intend to kill me during my sleep?" She thought to herself
"Are you okay?" Deuce immediately removed his hand from her hair and stepped backward when he realized she was awake.
Elise nodded and Deuce went out of the room. Elise sat up, feeling her face with her palms, and found it wet. "Was she crying?"
"Must be a bad dream again. But what was Deuce doing here, and the expression he had earlier? What was it about? She thought to herself, folding her hands, and her eyes went to her wrist to find her bracelet gone.
Gabrielle was lying on her bed; her face remained alive, with her blue hair being the only change. Eve and two witches applied medicine to her body.
"I hope nothing bad happens to her Highness." One of the witches outside the room cries.
"Everything is going the wrong way, it's like our coven is cursed..." Another witch was immediately shunned by Eve, whose voice came out more harsh than she wished to.
"Everyone, go back to your rooms and pray for Her Highness." She went downstairs and the other witches all departed from the door.
"Aunt," Sophia's voice came behind Eve, who was about to get inside with the revived water she had come to get from the garden.
"Is her Highness going to be ok?" Sophia asked as she walked towards Eve, her steps slow.
"She'll be okay, let's just pray it happens so soon. Her Highness is a strong woman; she'll be alright just like you can back to us." Eve flashed Sophia a smile and went back inside to Gabrielle's room.
Elise was dressed by the omegas and a tray of different delicacies rolled in. She sat by the table with her hair packed into a bun, adorned with beads and pins holding it in place.
The omegas watch her pick her food. "Would you like to have something else?" Chloe, the omega personally assigned to her asked.
"No, no, I'm okay," Elise quickly answered, not wanting them to get her wrong. She continues eating the food, slowly picking it up. She hates seafood.
After eating, the maids cleared the table and cleaned her room.
"Alpha asked me to bring you to him." Chloe bowed
"Oh...may I ask why?"
"I'm afraid I do not know, miss; I can't ask Alpha such." She said, her eyes still fixed on the ground.
"Oh....let's go then." Elise mind raced with thoughts of what Deuce wanted with her.
The door of the room opened and she was amazed at what she saw. The interior decorations didn't match the personality of the werewolves. Every room she passes by has a door, names, and their respective ranks inscribed on it. Another thing she noticed was their dress.
The omegas wore green robes while the other ranks wore different colors. Everyone she came across gave her a dirty look, whispering things that were bad about her.
After a few minutes, they stopped at a door, the name Alpha bold inscribed in it. Elise noticed the look on Chloe's face when she knocked on the door.
"Come in," Deuce's voice came inside the room.
"Aren't you coming?" Elise asked Chloe when she saw her not moving.
"No miss, we aren't allowed to enter Alpha's room without his order."
"Huh? Why am I going in then?" Elise asked, his eyes showing a bit of fear.
"Go in, miss; Alpha doesn't like waiting for someone." Chloe then closed the door and waited by it.
Elise walked into the dark room with no source of light in it. Her tracks stopped when she saw Deuce half naked. Judging by his wet hair, he must be coming from the bathroom. His black hair sticks to his face, and his packs give him the total look of a demi-god.
"Holy Hecate. So hot." The words flowed out of her mouth without her knowing.
Deuce came forward to her, the towel on his waist so tempting and revealing his v-line. Elise gulped nothing as her eyes couldn't stop staring at the tempting man walking toward her.
