Chapter 4 Part 4 : The Secret Room

The wedding reception had ended a few hours ago. Right now, Vellerie was still in her room, still wearing her wedding dress. She wanted to take it off, but was having trouble doing so.

Until finally, Bryan walked into the room.

"Bryan, please help me take off this dress," Vellerie asked, requesting him to unzip the back of her dress.

"Of course," Bryan replied, instead wrapping his arms around Vellerie from behind.

He embraced her and guided her to lean against the balcony of their room. From there, they could see a small artificial lake, its edges lit up with lights in the evening.

Bryan rested his head on the nape of his wife's neck and even kissed it a few times, making Vellerie feel ticklish.

"Stop it, Bryan. You're making me ticklish," Vellerie said, turning to face him.

Her heart seemed ready to leap out of her chest as she gazed at his handsome face. She felt incredibly lucky to have a husband like Bryan.

The man gently kissed Vellerie's forehead, and she could feel every ounce of sincerity from the man standing in front of her.

"Can I ask for my rights tonight?" Bryan asked softly.

Vellerie only nodded slightly.

"Kyaa!" Vellerie screamed in surprise when Bryan suddenly lifted her into his arms.

"Hahaha..." he laughed.

"This isn't funny," Vellerie grumbled.

"You'll get used to it soon," Bryan said, laughing as he laid her down on the bed and immediately climbed on top of her. Their eyes locked, and Bryan began kissing her passionately before pulling the blanket over both of them.

"Why is this so hard to open?" Bryan muttered under the blanket.

"Hehehe... That's why you shouldn't buy something so complicated," Vellerie teased, chuckling.

"How about I just tear it?"

"Eh, don't!"

In the end, Bryan pulled the blanket aside and tried to remove her wedding dress. Even the zipper was stuck.

Growing impatient, Bryan tore the dress. "Hey, why did you rip it?" Vellerie protested.

Bryan ignored her complaints and pulled the blanket over them again. "You can always buy another dress, but there's only one of you."

"You're such a sweet talker," Vellerie retorted from under the blanket.

A few hours later...

Vellerie had fallen fast asleep, wrapped in a thick blanket that covered her bare body. Meanwhile, Bryan, shirtless, sat beside her, gazing at her beautiful face. Occasionally, he brushed away strands of hair from her face.

"I love you," Bryan whispered, kissing the top of her head.

The next morning, Vellerie woke up and immediately felt a sharp pain in her intimate area.

"Why does it hurt? It feels like it's my first time," Vellerie thought, recalling the events of the previous night.

But according to Bryan, they had been married for a month.

"What's wrong, darling?" Bryan asked, just waking up as he wrapped his arms around her.

"I feel sore... in a sensitive area," Vellerie shyly admitted.

Bryan smiled, "Maybe I was a bit too aggressive last night. I'm sorry..."

Vellerie smiled back faintly, "Maybe," she thought, trying to dismiss any strange thoughts.

---

Vellerie strolled alone around the large house. It was the first time she'd walked around the house by herself without anyone's help.

The house was grand, and even the furniture was extravagantly expensive.

Then she came across a small hallway leading to a room labeled "No Entry."

"What room is this?" Vellerie asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Excuse me, ma'am," a voice startled Vellerie. Her heart almost leaped out of her chest when she saw John standing behind her.

"Oh my gosh, John. You scared me half to death," she exclaimed.

John adjusted his glasses and didn't laugh at her startled reaction. His expression was completely serious as he looked at the young woman in front of him.

"Forgive me, ma'am, but you cannot enter that room," John said seriously.

"Why, John?"

BANG!

A gunshot rang out from inside the room, clearly audible.

"What was that, John?!" Vellerie gasped.

"Nothing, ma'am. It must have been your imagination. It's best you return to your room now," John said as he pulled out a key from his jacket pocket and unlocked the door.

"But, John, that gunshot was clearly from inside this room, and I'm not imagining things," Vellerie insisted, growing more curious.

"Please leave now, ma'am," John said before disappearing behind the mysterious door.

Vellerie stared at the door. Why all the secrecy? And what about that gunshot? What was really in there?

Did Bryan know about this?

Vellerie was filled with confusion and left the hallway with a thousand questions in her mind.

---

Bryan entered their bedroom to find his wife sleeping soundly on her side, without a blanket, despite the heavy rain outside.

"You're so beautiful, baby," Bryan whispered as he brushed aside the strands of hair covering her lovely face. He lay down beside her, repeatedly kissing her slender fingers.

"Mmhh, you're back?" Vellerie asked in a hoarse voice.

Peck!

"Yes, darling. How was your day?" Bryan asked, placing her head on his lap.

"My day was just normal. Oh, by the way, I have a question for you..." Vellerie sat up, positioning herself next to Bryan. But Bryan quickly lifted her and sat her on his lap instead.

As he hugged her slim waist and gazed at her adoringly, he asked, "What is it?"

"I was walking around the house earlier and saw a hallway leading to a room marked 'No Entry.'"

Bryan's face briefly changed, though he quickly masked it again.

"And did you go in?" Bryan asked nonchalantly.

"Of course not. Then John came and said I wasn't allowed to enter. But I heard a gunshot from inside. So, what kind of room is it?"

Peck!

Bryan gave her a quick kiss.

"Seems like my wife knows too much. Listen, love, as far as I know, that room belongs to John, the head servant of this house," Bryan explained.

Vellerie looked at her husband with disbelief. "Why would a head servant need a secret room for himself?"

Bryan shrugged, "Maybe he's hiding a beautiful woman in there..."

"Bryan, I'm serious!"

"Hehehe... Okay, let's not talk about it anymore. Let's focus on us instead, hmm?" Bryan pulled her closer.

"But the gunshot?"

"Shh! Let's not discuss it anymore, okay? That's John's private space. He's been working here for a long time, even since my parents were alive. So, it's not a problem if he has his own personal room," Bryan said, making Vellerie fall silent.

Bryan quickly hugged his wife's petite frame and kissed her neck. Yet, Vellerie remained curious about what was really happening.

"Could John have killed someone?"

Bryan laughed. "My wife is so funny. Stop worrying about other people. I just want to enjoy every romantic moment with you, just the two of us," Bryan said as he entwined his fingers with hers and kissed them gently.

To be continued...
