But like usual, we didn't pay attention to the lessons because we already knew what the teachers were teaching, so we just slept during classes with these boring teachers
ALLYSIAH POV
I woke up early because I had duty at the library, so after taking a shower, I quickly changed into simple clothes and went out of the dorm.
Last night, I called Allyson to let her know that I was doing fine here. I didn't want her to miss me too much because if I didn't call, she would sulk since she missed me, even though I hadn't called her.
So I kept my promise to call her so I could also talk to Mom and Dad.
When I arrived at the library, I greeted Mom Linda and started organizing. Not many people come to the library this early, so I began arranging the books on the bookshelf.
However, after a few hours, only a few people came in, so it seemed like Mom Linda could handle it. So I continued organizing.
Then I saw someone sitting at the far end where it was dark in the library. I approached to see who it was.
But I was shocked because I recognized him immediately. It was none other than Kairus Jei Styles, so I distanced myself from him and went back to what I was doing.
As class time approached, I was about to leave when I remembered Kairus. Hayss Allysiah, don't meddle in his affairs; he can take care of himself, I told myself.
But I couldn't help feeling worried, so I gently woke him up, though I didn't know how because he might get mad at me. Why do I feel guilty? He also sleeps during our class, hayss.
After a moment, he woke up and looked at me, which made me feel a bit anxious.
"What?" he said grumpily.
"Uh, um, it's almost one PM. Y-you might be late if you don't wake up," I stammered.
I noticed he had a bruise on his face, and it looked like he was in pain. So I glanced at his arm, which had a bandage.
*Hayss, stop it Allysiah; curiosity can kill you,* I reminded myself.
So when he stood up, I immediately left his front. Luckily, he didn't get mad for waking him up.
When I got to the classroom, I sat down and saw his friends who seemed to be waiting for him because Hendrix was on the phone.
It turns out Kairus wasn't the only one with bruises and wounds; his friends had them too. *Hmm, did they get into a fight?* *Haysss, enough self, what's wrong with you?* I told myself again.
A little while later, Kairus arrived and approached his friends. I overheard their conversation.
"Where did you go?" Hendrix asked.
"We've been trying to call you," Ark said.
"I thought you weren't coming," Yael said.
"You came in early?" Reiv asked.
"Yeah," Kairus simply replied.
"It seems like Reiv is the only one who heard you," Yael pouted.
"Tsk," Kairus replied.
*Hayss, stop eavesdropping on other people's conversations; I'm becoming a gossipmonger,* I thought. Just then, our professor arrived. I listened intently because, you know, I'm a scholar, so I can't just chill.
After our first class ended, we waited for the next one. So, as usual, I just read my book.
While I was reading, I felt someone looking at me, so I glanced around. I was surprised to see that it was Kairus. I immediately averted my gaze.
*Hayss, now I can't concentrate on reading. Why is he staring?* I asked myself.
I sensed him stand up and move to the table next to me, which made me nervous, especially since he was right beside me.
"You know what, I hate people staring at me," he said.
I froze in my seat. Why was he saying that? I acted like I didn't hear him and turned the page of my book.
But I was startled when he suddenly grabbed it from me, and I looked at him, now glaring at me.
"G-Give me back my b-book," I said.
"Tsk, stop acting like you didn't hear what I said," he replied.
"S-Sorry, but why are you telling me this?" I asked boldly.
"Because I saw you staring at me, not once, but twice," he said.
"S-Sorry," I could only reply.
"Tsk," he said.
"P-Please, just give me back my book," I pleaded.
"What if I don't?" Kairus asked.
"P-Please have mercy and return it to me," I said.
But he didn't say anything, so I stood up to get it from him, but he quickly raised it above his head.
I reached out, but he kept it out of my grasp. I tried to stretch my arm to reach his hand at the back of his head.
But I didn't notice how close our bodies were. In this position, he was sitting on the table while I stood in between his legs, with one of my arms next to him.
He leaned back on his hand, supporting himself so he wouldn't fall onto the table.
So if we analyzed it, I seemed to have cornered him. Our faces were also quite close. If he turned to look at me, he could almost kiss me.
I snapped back to reality and heard what our classmates were saying, knowing they were all watching us.
"What's that nerd doing?" Girl 1 said.
"How dare she flirt with the Pres," Girl 2 said.
"How shameless," Girl 3 said.
I froze in my spot. What were you thinking, Allysiah? I scolded myself.
"You're enjoying this, huh?" Yael's voice came.
"Looks like you've got some moves, bro," Reiv added.
I quickly backed away from him and returned to my seat, leaning over the table to hide my blushing face, which was now filled with embarrassment.
"Nice going, Kai," Yael said.
"Tsk," Kairus replied.
I could hear their conversation. I sensed Kairus looking at me, but it was too embarrassing. I stayed in that position until our professor arrived.
No matter how hard I tried to focus on the lesson, my mind was blank. I could feel Kairus watching me. *Why doesn't he just sleep like he usually does?* I thought.
The class ended, but Kairus still hadn't returned my book, and I didn't know what to do. After what happened earlier, I didn't want to approach him.
But I couldn't just leave my book like that since Mom and Dad bought it for me so I could do some advanced reading.
But I thought it would be okay to wait until tomorrow to get it back since I was too embarrassed right now. So I returned to the dorm and studied again. I wanted to forget what happened earlier.
"It's my book now," she said.
"Tsk, stop acting like you didn't hear what I said," I replied.
But she just apologized and asked why I said that earlier. So, I answered her.
"Because I saw you staring at me, not once but twice," I said.
She apologized again and wanted to get her book, but of course, I teased her first. It had been a while since I last bullied someone.
So, she stood up and approached me to snatch the book, but when she was right between my legs, I suddenly swallowed hard.
Because if I didn't move my body, ours would touch. I glanced at her chest and thought, shit, I didn't know her breasts were this big; f*ck*.
I raised my hand so she couldn't reach it because she was trying to grab it, but I wouldn't let her. Until it felt like she had me cornered.
I swallowed again when our faces were close. If I turned sideways and looked at her, I would surely kiss her. But of course, I stayed in my position.
F*ck, I think I'm at a disadvantage. Sh*t, I planned to tease her, but it seems to be the other way around. All my life, I've never been interested in any girl, but this nerdy girl... sh*t, I don't know, but I feel hot. Bullsh*t.
When I noticed she wasn't moving, I saw some of our classmates already staring at us.
And I heard my friends, *sh*t*, we caught their attention too.
"You're enjoying, huh?" Yael smirked.
"So that's how you move, bro," Reiv also grinned.
Nerdy girl snapped out of it, so she moved away from me and returned to her seat. She seemed embarrassed by what happened and just bowed her head.
"You're good, huh, Kai," Yael teased.
"Tsk," I just replied.
So, when our professor arrived, I returned to my seat. But I wasn't looking ahead; I was looking at the nerd.
I noticed she was uncomfortable, but I didn't care. Hayss, what did this nerd do to me? Why do I feel so heated? Sh*t.
After our class ended, I kept staring at this nerd. What if I started bullying her? I asked myself.
When it was time to go home, it seemed like the nerd had no intention of taking her book. She left quickly.
So, we decided to head home too, but of course, to our condos. While walking to the parking lot at school, my friends talked about me.
"Do you like the nerd, Kai?" Reiv asked.
"No," I replied shortly.
"Then what was that earlier?" Yael pressed.
"None of your business," I said.
"Do you have something planned?" Ark asked.
"This is the first time you've approached a girl," Hendrix added.
"It's nothing, okay? Stop talking," I replied.
But the three of them just laughed, except for Ark. I got annoyed and quickened my pace.
When we arrived, I immediately got into my car and started it. While driving, I suddenly looked at the book I had placed in the front seat.
I didn't know why I brought it; hayss, I should have thrown it away earlier, I thought. I think I really should start bullying her. After all, she has some fault, tsk.
When I got home, I went straight into the elevator until it stopped at my condo unit floor.
Once I got inside, I collapsed on the sofa and looked at my hand, but I didn't realize I was still holding the book. Hayss, Kairus, what happened to you? Sh*t.
So, I immediately threw it on the sofa and went to my room to change.
After I finished, I decided to sleep first because those four might disturb me again.
