Chapter 4 Journey to Khorsan

Prince Julian helped Elaine onto his horse, then mounted behind her. She held onto his waist, afraid she might fall if she didn't. Prince Julian's lips twitched, finding her behavior somewhat strange.

The journey began, and they traveled swiftly for several hours, which made Elaine feel ill, this being her first experience riding on a horse. Sensing her discomfort, Prince Julian stopped and instructed the others to halt as well.

He glanced at Elaine, whose face had turned pale, her cheeks stained with tears. She shivered from the biting wind caused by their speed. Julian removed his coat and handed it to her. She gratefully wore it, and they resumed their journey, this time riding at a slower pace.

When they finally reached Khorsan, Prince Julian ordered that Elaine be taken care of before heading straight to the throne room.

"Good afternoon, Father," he greeted flatly.

"How are you, son?" his father replied in a somewhat excited tone.

Noticing his father's enthusiasm, Julian frowned. "I'm fine. I've carried out your orders."

Seeing his son's unhappy expression, King Bernard chuckled. "That's my son!" he said, patting his shoulder. "What do you plan to do with the girl?" he teased.

Julian's eyes flashed with disgust. "What do you expect?"

"I don't know... Well, she's all yours. Enjoy!"

Prince Julian scoffed. "Enjoy? Father, you know I respect women. I'm not like my brother."

"You're just like your mother!" King Bernard said angrily.

"I'm glad you know," Julian replied, leaving his father's presence in frustration.

That evening, Prince Julian was in his room, dressing for his brother's wine party when someone knocked on the door.

"Your Majesty, we have good news," Elmer said from outside.

"Come in and speak," Prince Julian responded, not wanting him to remain outside.

"The girl we brought back today is feeling better now, but she's currently asleep."

"Good. I'm heading to my brother's wine party, so if there's any issue, handle it."

"Okay, Your Majesty..." Elmer hesitated.

"Yes? Speak."

"I have a bad feeling about this party..."

"Don't worry. My brother won't dare harm me," Julian said firmly.

"Okay then, I'll leave now," Elmer replied, bowing before leaving immediately.
